Brainstorming Notes

A messy collection of ideas! Some stuff is out of date and no longer relevant, as this was just a place for me to jot down possible scenarios, details, plot points, and links that won’t work on here but I’m including to up the word count lmao

-

- Wolves’ appearances are defined by their packs to mark where they come from

Moon pack: Black hair, blue eyes, lithe

Sun pack: Blonde/gold hair, gold eyes, bulky

Magnolia pack: White hair, green eyes, usually curvy

- If one is lost, everyone else knows which pack they belong to

- The Magnolia pack, over time, has become known for unusually fertile Omegas

- When a wolf, male or female, turns 11, both Selene and Kiran will visit to scent them. Then when they turn 12-15 (ages when their first heat/rut happens), they will return to see if their scent changed—defining if they’re an Omega or not, aka eligible to join their harem, when they turn 18. Then the Luna and Alpha will either decide or challenge each other in choosing which one they want to join the harem to breed with them. *Each Alpha chooses the ones they want at the second visit, but tells no one, until the third visit when they publicly claim them. Which leaves all those Potentials and their parents paranoid if their child will be chosen or not (and most want them to be chosen, but either way, they still care for their child’s safety).

- They are essentially sacrifices to keep the alphas sated in their libido.

- If the Alphas scents a rut, that means that wolf has potential to become an Alpha—therefore, competition, a challenger to their thrones. If nothing happens in the time until they turn 18, that Potential is allowed to live. But once they reach 18, it’s up to the Alphas to decide if the Potential is a threat or not; if they deem yes, they’re allowed to end the Potential’s life.

- If they do not present, they are beta

- Some wolves of the Magnolia will fight each other for the honor of joining either or harem. - Some believe it to be an honor, while others (not many, since they are told their fate from a very young age, conditioned/brainwashed to think it was a good thing) refuse to be degraded to objects.

- There are Magnolia Alphas that breed with Omegas in their pack, but keep themselves on the DL to not catch the Sun and Moon’s attentions. The “main” Alpha is Hyacinth, and he’s a decent guy, and has only had two Omega mates, but his hand keeps being forced to the Alphas’ whims.

- SEFF IS A REINCARNATION OF PAST LOVERS OF BOTH SELENE AND KIRAN.

- Doppelgängers!

She existed for Selene seventy years ago; and for Kiran one hundred years ago (when he was thirty). Kiran’s version died of old age, but Selene’s was murdered by Kiran out of jealously (“she was mine first, you don’t get her, you don’t get to be happy now that mine is gone”)

- But her line isn’t related to either Alpha. Both versions mated and bore offspring underage with lesser Alphas before they even met Selene or Kiran. And both of those lesser Alphas were murdered—but their offspring were sent away to orphanages to be kept safe.

- When Seff was born, her parents recognized the reincarnation (originating from Seff’s mother’s line), they feared for all their lives if either Alpha recognized her from their pasts. But they actually didn’t—and neither did her older brothers—and all was well. But the parents told Allium’s parents and Hyacinth, and asked to protect her, but Hyacinth didn’t want to risk the two Alphas starting a war that originated in the Magnolia pack. So he set up a car wreck that would kill the parents and Seff. But Seff lived, and Allium’s parents more or less took her in. And Hyacinth knew that if anything he tried to pull against Seff, he knew they would step in to protect her from harm. So Seff was a loose end that Hyacinth could put a match to, lest he risks his own position and life.

KIRAN’S DELTA KILLED SELENE’S OMEGA; KIRAN KILLED THE DELTA

- When Selene came to accuse him, Kiran really did kill someone that morning, but it wasn’t her Omega, it was his Delta, who wanted to frame Kiran so Selene would kill him so the Delta could become the new Alpha, as he was next in line. Like monarchy, the next in line to a throne is the king’s firstborn son. But in this, if the “king” doesn’t officially present an heir/successor, the automatic next in line is the Delta. Even if Selene killed Kiran, she’s already an Alpha, and cannot merge with the Sun pack. But Kiran figured that out quickly, being more observant than he lets on, and kills the Delta as punishment. He doesn’t tell Selene the truth because he doesn’t want her to know that he’s a target to eliminate—rather, he’s too prideful to tell her. Plus it fuels their hate fire for each other, though he risks facing retaliation from her. He suggests going to the Choosing early as a stalemate/truce/“we’re even.” So she agrees and just deals with it. She doesn’t feel bad for killing his Omega, but still demands compensation from Kiran to support her Omega’s son. He agrees, feeling a shred of regret that a child was left orphaned.

- Seff lost her parents, who are generally able to scent their child’s dynamic (if they’ll be an Omega or not)

(Once Seff is taken into Kiran’s harem) she is forced to stay in the same room as him and Allium to show her what she’s in for (because she tried to run away), and she hates it because the Omega is her friend, whom she grew up with, and she’s just purring in the Alpha’s lap, content and blind with heat, desire to please, preening by an Alpha’s attention, at the same time blind to potential violence/hurt by such a powerful being

The story begins with Seff Bleize dreading being chosen as a consort for two dangerous Alphas. When those two see her, their reactions prompt a competition to win her affections first--because unbeknownst to Seff, she is the third reincarnation of both Alphas' long-dead past lovers. She chooses to join the Sun pack under Kiran Cyrus to protect her best friend, Allium Ren. But Seff finds herself more ostracized than ever for being the focus of Kiran's attention as well as drawn to the forbidden love of Selene Hilal of the Moon pack. The story develops as romance blooms, drama ensues, hearts are broken and mended, and secrets of the past are revealed. The twists include Seff learning more about herself and her past by others who seem to know her better. There is even a murder mystery! The climax is Kiran and Selene finally revealing that Seff is a doppelgänger/reincarnation, each claiming she was meant to be soulbound to them--only after Seff finds them in their own forbidden romance, completing a taboo love triangle. Seff feels betrayed and flees, upset that she was lied to her by her family who knew about that secret since she was born. The story ends on a cliffhanger with one last secret truth: someone she trusted her whole life revealed who really killed her parents.

Heat: The cycle an omega experiences where they’re more fertile. A heat circle occurs every 3 or 4 months with each individual cycle lasting 3 to7 days. An omega in heat will want nothing more than to physically mate and breed. They are vulnerable when in heat, exposed to predatory behavior if not protected. Grows stronger in the presence of the Alpha.

Presenting: When the sex is revealed during puberty (age 18)

Scents are a big part of presenting. As someone goes through puberty their scent will change slightly depending on their dynamic. If someone were presenting as Omega their scent would become sweeter, an Alpha’s scent would become more potent and heady, and Betas would have a neutral but warm scent

If they do not present, they are beta

Rut: The cycle an alpha experiences where they’re more fertile. A heat circle occurs every 3 or 4 months with each individual cycle lasting 3-7 days. An Alpha in heat will want nothing more than to physically mate and bred. They can be aggressive, territorial, and protective and want to keep their mate away from danger. Grow stronger in the presence of an Omega

Scent/scent glands/pheromones: Heightened during cycles, attract mates; located on neck and wrist

Betas can impregnate omegas, but it is low chance

Omegas cannot impregnate omegas, but they can still do the do
