MOON PACK (the pack they were born into)
-
Selene Hilal
Name meaning: Moon
Age: 95
Hair and eye color: Black, blue
Height: 6’1”
Birthplace: Moon pack
Bio: Born one of three sisters, her parents Monday and Deimos raised them lovelessly, both having never wanted children due to their violent lifestyles of conquering land and growing their influence and power over all other werewolf packs.
They taught their daughters to be cold, smart, and ruthless, not giving them much of a childhood. Selene was molded exactly how they wanted, but her sisters did not agree that violence was the answer. When they were ten years old, Monday and Deimos put them to the test of who could survive a brutal snowstorm. Whoever made it out alive would be crowned the heir to the Moon pack.
Selene wanted to be a queen. Though even she couldn’t bear the thought of killing her sisters, she left them to die nonetheless.
A year later, the Moon pack mansion was ambushed by several packs who banded together to end the Moon’s reign of terror. They successfully killed Monday and Deimos while Selene watched from a hiding place, and she escaped with her aunt.
She bid her time for revenge while she and her aunt built the Moon pack back up with true promises of leaving packs to their own devices. When she visited the Sky pack, however, she recognized the wolves who killed her parents, and she enacted her plan of killing most of that pack. Those who surrendered pledged their allegiance to the Moon.
Selene knew she was immortal because her parents were because she was an Alpha born of Alpha parents, which was extremely rare. News of her and her conquests traveled far and wide, drawing enemies and worshippers.
Her pride basked in the attention, and she took a liking to one of her followers despite his being Sky pack; she had her first children with him and discovered her love for hedonistic, which inspired her to build a harem.
But she grew bored with the construction, so she decided to escape and wander. She happened across her soulbound mate, Calla Amaranth. And when Kiran killed her, she tried to hunt him down, even taking Apollo’s Keep hostage, until she realized that his self-preservation meant more than protecting his harem as well as the fact that killing her was just as good punishment.
Selene is known for her cruelty, immorality, and perchance for sex. Many see her as a spiteful goddess, fearing her power but also wanting her to bed them. She rarely has a good consciousness and cares only for herself and her own selfish desires, but tries to be empathetic as Calla would want her to have.

SUN PACK
-
Kiran Cyrus
Name meaning: Sun
Age: 130
Hair and eye color: Gold, gold
Height: 6’3”
Birthplace: Sun pack
Bio: A twin, Kiran’s parents and brother were murdered by a rival pack in their sleep when he was eleven while he was out hunting, smart enough to hide out until the coast was clear.
Like Selene, his childhood was brutal and loveless. He grew the Sun pack even larger than it already was, recruiting wild lone wolves to add to their might. Unlike Selene, his brutality did not take a break, and he left a trail of bodies just for fun—until he met Zinnia.
The beast met the beauty and while it did not change his true nature, he did learn empathy and trust. But when she died, he wiped out the entire human village where he tried to save her.
Spending a year in isolation while his harem was being built, he went back to his old ways and shoved down any true, pure emotions, focusing on the mindless bliss of sex.
Quick to anger and wit, Kiran sees immortality as an endless playground as well as a hell and rarely knows how to substantially fill the time. He keeps his want to love and be loved stashed in his “dark place,” afraid to let in “weak” emotions that would compromise his careless, cruel image so he could avoid being hurt again.

When he turned eighteen, he swore loyalty to his mother and Selene, training to spy on Kiran while living in Apollo’s Keep. He is tasked with guarding Seff and makes quick friends with her. Kiran x Zinnia backstory
-
Met:
Kiran age 20
Zinnia age 18
When Zinnia died:
Zinnia age 23
Kiran 25
He was wandering with no destination after tiring of a bloody past. Coming across a small pack in a hamlet surrounded by flower fields, he saw Zinnia. The mating bind didn’t snap into place right away, but they were completely enamored with each other.
Zinnia was “dating” Larkspur (25); the year before (when she was only 17), she gave birth to twin girls. They lived together in their very small house down the “street” from each of their parents’ houses, and he hid excellently how much of an abuser he was. He wanted to boast that he had such a young and healthy Omega “girlfriend,” but that boast wasn’t complete without strong sons. He tried to get her pregnant more often than not.
K&Z started to meet in secret, Zinnia thinking she could fool him into thinking she had no relationship ties except her parents. Because he was already so in love with her and he could sense that in her lies, she was trying to convince herself that she didn’t have those ties either. So he didn’t go after Larkspur or her daughters.
After a little bit he asked her to leave with him and travel the world. She was thrilled at the idea, which included being able to leave Larkspur, but she was also sad to leave her pups (who she loved but couldn’t wholeheartedly because they were a reminder of her suffering, of Larkspur’s abuse) and her parents. She’d already made a contingency plan with her parents to take her daughters if anything bad happened to her.
Kiran was living in a den he’d made himself at the edge of the “town” because no one liked or trusted him. He made himself and his relationship with Zinnia scarce enough that there was no issue all around.
On the day they agreed to leave, he decided to make it romantic and go to her house with flowers. At the door, he heard screaming.
Larkspur the psycho found out that she was leaving with a strong, handsome Alpha. Jealous and furious, thinking Zinnia belonged to him and only him forever, wanted no one else to love or touch her, so he decided to cut and rip out her womb so she could never have children. (He kept her screaming muffled so no one could hear outside of the house.)
Kiran burst in just as her uterus fell onto the floor.
Zinnia, bleeding, crying, screaming, pleads for the males not to fight. But they do, and it’s absolutely brutal.
It ends with Larkspur clinging to life by a thread.
Luckily, her daughters are already safe with her parents. The town came running, but Kiran already grabbed Zinnia and ran.
They looked like they bathed in a river of blood. They stop near a real one to clean up and heal her. Both of them are devastated. Even though Zin is pleading with Kiran to give up on her, he snarls that he’ll never leave her.
That’s when the soulmate bond clicks into place.
And then Z’s fighting for her life so she could be with him.
After a lot of struggling they get everything under control. She’ll have a permanent scar and her womb would never grow back, but Kiran told her nothing would make him love her less.
When they eventually started to travel after Kiran nursing her back to health (hunting for them, going to the next town over and stealing clothes, making another makeshift den, etc.), it takes Zinnia a little while to open up and tell him her history. She tells him all about Larkspur and her twins and just how small and boring and sad her life was. She was quiet and meek for some time.
Because of the mate bond, he gives her the perfect amount of space and reassurance. They still hadn’t truly addressed it. But he is hesitant to tell her about how brutal his past was. In kind, she tells him nothing would make her love him less. So he tells her everything.
And they end up loving each other more.
At some monumental time in a pretty place, they finally talk about the soulmate bond. When they knot for the first time, they Marked each other forever.
After a straight year of adventuring (doing something, idk), they agree to settle. Kiran jokes how he never imagined a domestic life, but is more than thrilled to spend it with her. It takes a month to build their cabin in the forest.
5 years go by in peace, during which they did spend time building Apollo’s Keep. Kiran only had one lover at that point, the mother of his first litter. Zinnia and she became friends, and she came to adore those pups, feeling heartache for her abandoned twins. It was unknown if Larkspur lived or not.
Sometimes she had nightmares of him and wondered if it was the right decision to leave the budding Magnolia pack behind. Ultimately she did feel it was right.
But she still feels immense guilt for not being able to start a family with Kiran. He admits he’s sad about it, but does not resent her.
When she’s 23 and Kiran’s 25, they go out hunting and Zinnia is shot and killed by hunters.
The moment she died, their Marks disappeared from their skin.
Kiran slaughters the whole town, carries Zinnia all the way back to the Magnolia, where he buries her. Her parents, alive, are furious, but they do not attack Kiran. They simply ask him to leave and never come back.
Larkspur did end up dying and Zinnia’s daughters still lived with their grandparents but refused to leave the house to see the male who stole their mother in life and death.
Kiran, hollowed out, wanders aimlessly. When he eventually returns to the cabin, but the want to burn the place down doesn’t outweigh the sentiment. Zinnia wouldn’t want him to destroy the last thing he had left of her.
