27.3 Katerina

The following days flew by quickly and Alex and I would find time to spend together just the two of us and Hayden offered to watch Savannah for us as we went on dates here and there. Today David and he were going to start construction of their combined building and I couldn't be more proud of them both.

Alex's parents have been sore and keep demanding Alex hand them the building once it's been completed claiming that it belongs to the former clients of Storm-Montgomery but of course, neither Alex nor David has relented. And today was no exception. I sighed as a loud commotion outside my office filled the air and closed my eyes before Kylie, my assistant knocked on my door before she walked in.

"They're back again," she said and I nodded sighing. I was not in the mood to deal with them again. I closed my laptop as Kylie let Mr. and Mrs. Storm in before closing the door behind her on her way out.

"Hello, Katerina." Mr. Storm, otherwise known as Angelo, and his wife, Margaret, stood beside him as always and I sighed nodding my head in greeting.

"Is there a reason why you're both here again after what Alex and David have said?" I questioned and Angelo walked over and asked me to stand up but I raised a brow, "You're in my office, Mr. Storm."

"And I don't care. I'm above you which means I deserve to be sitting in your seat." he replied making me chuckle at his words.

"You may have that authority back in your business but not here Mr. Storm. You're on my turf which means I make demands not you. So again, what do you and your wife need that you've been coming to my office every day for the past week demanding that I tell both David and Alex to hand you the building they're constructing to you? You both know that building is not Rogers' or Giménez's anymore, not after they broke the contract with us" I stated and I could see their eyes growing dark with my words, "Now if you don't have anything better to do or say, I believe it's time for you to go unless you want to be escorted out by security."

"Insolent child. Do you know who you're talking to?" Mrs. Storm asked as she sneered and I rolled my eyes, one thing I learned from working in this business was to show indifference to those that are rude to you but still show them respect. I wish have shown them both the respect they need but they've been rude to me ever since we met five years ago at David's party.

"As a matter of fact, I do. I'm talking to two immature, self-centered, disrespectful, and most of all, inconsiderate people I have ever met in my entire life. You think you can barge into my office every day and demand this and that all because you can't make your clients dream restaurant come to life. You decided to take them from my brother and Alex when they already had the plans ready" I said slamming my hands on my desk making the woman widen her eyes while the male clenched his jaw, "I've dealt with a lot from other people and clients but you two by far surpass them all. You're crazy to even think that you can come here and tell me, no demand, anything from me. I'm sure Alex has said it before but I'll say it again, I'll be dammed if you think that you can ask anything from us after you two decided to take our clients from us. Now again if you two don't have nothing else to say, leave before security comes and escorts you out."

"This is not the last time you'll hear from us," Angelo said and I rolled my eyes.

"It better be unless you want to be served with restraining orders for invasion and trespassing." I replied and they narrowed their eyes.

"You wouldn't," Margaret said, "Alex wouldn't agree to it."

"He was the one who suggested it. Now leave." With a final glare, they left my office slamming the door shut behind them and I signed sitting back down on my seat, thank god.

"Miss Katerina?" Kylie's voice questioned and I looked up to see her poking her head in, "Would you like some tea?"

"Yes please." She nodded and a moment later she was back with a cup of tea before setting it down on my desk, "thank you, Kylie."

"You're very welcome. Would you like anything else?"

"No. That will be all. I'll be going home after I finish my paperwork, if I get any calls just take their messages and I'll deal with them tomorrow when I come in."

"Very well miss Katrina," she replied before leaving, closing the door gently behind her leaving me alone once more.
