"Carmen thank you so much for coming in even though I had given you the day off" I heard Kat say when I walked into the house

"It's no problem at all, Miss Katerina," the housekeeper said her Mexican accent strong, "oh, welcome home Mr. Alexander"

"Hello, Carmen, how are you?"I asked and she májele

"Good, thank you and you?"

"Well thank you," I answered and she nodded

"It's getting late so why don't you go back home and have a nice relaxing day with your husband and kids?" Kat asked and Carmen nodded, tiring to me, and wished me a Happy Father's Day before excusing herself and leaving us alone.

"Why was she here?" I asked leaning over and giving Kat a kiss on the lips

"I called her and asked if she'd be able to help me with dinner and she agreed which now I feel bad since she was spending time with her family when I called her," she answered and I hummed, "how was your day?"

And so I retold her how it went with both Michael Knox and David and David and I both agreed that their parents should back off from Hayden and pushing him to follow in one of their footsteps.

"I'm glad that everything worked out with Mr. Knox and with David," she said once I was done, "but I still can't get over the fact my parents keep hounding Hayden and practically forcing modeling and business down his throat when they know that's not what he wants to do"

"I know but hopefully they'll understand and support him when they realize that they can't force him to pick modeling and business over what he truly loves" I stated tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear making her smile, "speaking of, where are Hayden and Savannah?"

"Savannah is currently napping and Hayden is working on some college homework"

"No wonder the house is so qu-Spoke too soon" I stared when the doorbell rang echoing throughout the house making Kat smile, "I'm going to and change then we can go ahead and have dinner with everyone"

"Okay"

While Kat went to answer the door, I made ya way upstairs to our room, first checking in on both Hayden and Savannah, and making my way to the bathroom for a quick shower before joining my wife
and our guests downstairs.

"There's the new dad!" I heard as soon as I took the last step and grinned

"Happy Father's Day" John grinned coming up to me and clapping me on the back before Ella, Nessa, and Mom walked over to give me a kiss on the cheek while Dad and Tyler also wished me a happy Father's Day which I also wished my dad before doing the same to Liam and Adam.

"Where's Hayden?" Liam asked as we walked into the yard which was decorated in blue banners with HAPPY FATHER'S DAY written in them. The deck which was just off to the left had a sitting area with a grill in the corner. The pool, which was smack in the middle of the yard, had the cover over it making it into a makeshift dance area with speakers on each corner that was softly playing Watermelon Sugar by Harry Styles, yes I know who he is since Hayden introduced him and his former One Direction band members four months ago when I heard him humming one of their songs to Savannah when she was crying.

Let's just say the entire backyard was decorated for a Father's Day celebration with a tent off to the side of the pool with what I'm guessing to be tables filled with various foods lined up. This woman went all out today it seems.

"In his room working on some college homework" I replied and he nodded, "he should be down once he's done"

"I wish he would just pick a career," he sighed and I raised a brow

"He still has time to make a decision," I said and he looked over at me with his own raised brow, "forgive me for being blunt but it's not healthy having you and your wife hounding him another picking modeling or business when he's only just started college. He has a long way to go until he makes up his mind in what he wants to major in or what he wants to do once he's done"

He blinked at my words but as if it had gone in one ear and out the other he shook his head

"He's 17 years old and he needs to make his mind already. When I was his age I already knew what ti wanted to major in" he said

"You said it, dad when you were his age. Hayden is not like you or mom. He doesn't need to decide yet" we looked over at Jaylen's voice to see him standing a few feet away, "just let him be himself, Dad and don't force him to follow or major in something that will make him miserable"

I excused myself when I knew they were about to have a back and forth an argument about Hayden and what he needs to do for a career once he's down with college. I looked around for my lovely wife and saw her with her mother also having a heated argument and sighed.

"Not the Father's Day you were hoping for?" I turned around at the sound of my dad's voice and shook my head, "I'm guessing it's got to do with your youngest brother in law?"

"Yup," and he hummed, "why can't they just let the kid be himself?" He sighed shaking his head

"I don't know, son, but I agree that they need to step back and let him decide himself what he wants to do for a living"

Whispering arguments could be heard all around the yard but I'll be damned if Kat's parents ruin what she had planned for today so I clapped my hands gaining their attention, "Alright everyone, let's leave our differences for today and instead let's enjoy this wonderful day that my beautiful wife had planned for us, dads, and you can resume your discussions tomorrow"

And at that moment Hayden walked out with a very wide awake Savannah who looked at the yard with wide and fascinated eyes.
