SEVENTEEN

The dinner went smoothly. Except for the fact that she wasn't able to eat that much. Not after all those things they told her.

She couldn't help but get curious about the woman that both Hades and Zeus loved. And she couldn't get her mind off the fact that Hades' love for the mortal woman got her literally killed. With all those things she learned, she wondered how cruel and powerful Zeus can be. She had seen what Hades can do and she initially thought it was terrifying. If Zeus is more powerful, how terrifying could he be?

The door in her chamber opened and Henrietta came inside bringing her clothes. She didn't bother locking her door as both Hades and Cerberus could teleport inside her chamber, anyway. It was like a subtle reminder that wherever she goes, whether it be in the underworld or in the human world, there is no one who can stop them from getting to her.

"Do you know about the curse?" she asked Henrietta the moment she laid down the clothes on her table. She saw the woman pause for a moment before looking at her. Henrietta didn't say anything and her silence was enough of an answer for her. But there is one question that itches to get out of her mouth so she went on, "What do you know of the woman that Hades loved?"

Henrietta's eyes narrowed to her. "So they told you about her," she said.

"You know something about her?"

"I know what you know. If you're hoping to get more information about her then you came to the wrong person. And if I were you, I will not pry on it too much."

"Why?"

"It's never a good idea to pry on dead people, Guinevere. Especially not here in the underworld."

Before she could ask more, Henrietta stormed out of her chamber, but her last sentence bothered her. If that woman was dead she was either on the three realms. Is she in the underworld? Does Hades still see her? He's the god of the underworld. He should be able to arrange for them to meet. But in her stay in the underworld, she hadn't seen any woman with Hades.

She shook her head, trying not to think too much about it. Why should she even care about a woman that her captor once loved? And if she is the potential person to break the curse, she doesn't know how that's going to happen without having herself get killed. And the more she thinks about it, the more impossible it is for her to die from Hades' love. Hades will never love her and she will never love him. She was relieved that the man was not even making any efforts in making her fall in love but even if he does, she will not fall for it. Not when she's in love with someone else.

Sighing, she let herself sit in the bathtub. As she rested her head on the edge of the tub, she closed her eyes and thought about Reid. His bright smile, whenever she arrived at work, was enough to make her day. And the day he asked her on a date--it would have been the most magical day of her life if Hades hadn't come and taken her. Thinking about it seemed like it happened a long time ago and she wondered if she managed to show herself to Reid that night she came back to the mortal world, would he have told the police about her or would he have believed her that she was not a murderer? She doesn't really know and she doesn't want to find out. Especially that Maddie did not hesitate to tell the police the moment she came looking for help.

The water was a comfortable kind of warm and in a matter of minutes, she was already asleep. She didn't know how long she slept on the water but when she opened her eyes, she almost jumped out of the tub when she saw Hades standing at the side and looking down at her.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, covering her naked breast and curling her knees up to her chest. She looked at him and she could have sworn something crossed his eyes as they roamed over her covered body.

"Get up," said Hades and she blinked, not sure if she was hearing things properly. Hades commands and she follows. That's what their arrangement is. That's what she's supposed to do. But she's not going to allow him to command her whenever he pleases, especially when she's naked---

"Did you not hear me, Guinevere? I said get up," he said again. His voice was low but she sensed the looming danger behind it if she doesn't follow what he said. Reluctantly, she slowly stood up, bubbles slid down her arms and her exposed stomach. She saw how Hades' eyes raked over her body and she could have sworn she saw fire in them as they focused on the areas she carefully covered.

"Hades--"

"Fuck," he muttered and turned around. She blinked again, not understanding what was happening this time.

"Get dressed," he said, and then in a matter of seconds, he was gone. She was left dumbfounded, staring at the wall. She doesn't know what it was all about and why Hades was even there in the first place. Hades had told her to get dressed so she wore her robe and got out of the bathing chamber. The moment she was out, she was frozen in place when she realized she wasn't alone.

On her bed was Cerberus and leaning on the table was Hades. They both looked at her and she couldn't move her body to dash back to the bathroom.

"She's alive and well. I don't see why I still have to be here," said Cerberus as he looked at Hades.

Her brows furrowed as she looked at Hades too.

"What is happening?" she asked.

"You were gone for a second," he answered and that added even more to her confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"He meant he couldn't sense you earlier. We thought something had happened to you," Cerberus said, standing up.

She raised a hand. "I'm sorry. Sense me? What does that mean?"

Cerberus raised his brow as though it should be an information she should have known by now. But instead of answering, he disappeared, leaving her and Hades. She looked at Hades, hoping to get some kind of information.

She heard him sigh and before she could even ask, Hades disappeared too.

Immediately, she put on the dress that Henrietta brought earlier. The back was mostly exposed and the slits on both legs did little to hide the length of them. The dress could have made her shiver of coldness but strange enough, she felt warm. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that she's in the underworld.

When she opened the door in her chamber, she realized she wasn't locked anymore. A subtle reminder to her that even if she tries to escape, there would be no way out for her. She's set to remain in the underworld but she refuses to do just that. However, something deep inside her wanted to think logically too. What would happen though if she goes back to the human world?

The moment she as out of her chamber, the long, narrow hallway greeted her. She's never been to that hallway before. The last time she walked from her chamber to the throne room, it was different. Was she moved to another chamber without her knowing?

Ignoring the different interior of the hallway, she continued walking. She's not expecting to find a random portal that could transport her to the human world. She's looking for Hades or Cerberus so they could tell her what they mean about what they said earlier.

Cerberus said Hades couldn't feel her earlier. Did that mean that wherever she may be, Hades would be able to sense her and find her? Thinking about it creeps her out and if it was what she thought it was, it would blow her chance of escaping. If Hades could feel her then he would know if she attempts to escape.

She also couldn't help but wonder if Hades could feel not only her presence but also what she's feeling. If that is the case then it would seriously creep her out. But then again, Hades is powerful. There is a huge chance he could feel what she's feeling too.

The narrow hallway seemed never-ending as she made her way to the end. She needs to ask Hades about it. Also, she feels like there is something more they're not telling her. Something that she felt like she needs to know.

Her feet were cold against the floor but she continued walking. When she reached the end of the hallway, she turned left as there was no other way. At the end of it was a door. It must be the throne room. She walked faster to get to it and immediately held the knob to push it open.

But she wasn't expecting what was inside the room. Or rather who were inside the room.

The throaty moans of a woman and the deep breathing of a man flooded her ears and the moment she saw who the people were, she was once again frozen on her feet.

Inside the room was Hades and a woman she doesn't know. The woman was naked but Hades was fully clothed. He was sitting on the chair while the woman was moving on top of him. His head was resting on the headrest, his eyes were closed and his mouth was slightly parted. The woman's hips were moving up and down with his hands on her waist, as though guiding her movements.

Her eyes went down to where the woman and Hades was connected. Her face burned at the sight of them--the way the woman's tits bounced with every move and the way she saw a glimpse of Hades' cock going in and out of the woman's entrance.

Hades was fucking someone and she doesn't know what to feel about it.
