Chapter 27: In Which He Takes Her to Bed

“Oops, I missed.”

Her pink lips fell into a grim line.

With an impassive face, the woman in a white cape and pantsuit said in a dead voice, “That’ll teach you some manners. How dare you touch the daughter of a healthcare tycoon. Who the hell do you think you are? You’re a nobody.”

Every word uttered was dripped with such disdain, even Fred wanted to jump in and give the woman a piece of his mind.

But, the fiancé beat him to it.

“The merger is off and it will stay off!” Theo growled. To wipe that irritating smug off her face, Theo stepped towards her side and whispered into her ear, “I have enough evidence to file a lawsuit against your brother. Yes, mother, I know that he has been stealing from the company - for years. I’m just holding it back.”

Stepping back from her, he mimicked her cold, hard stare and warned her paled face, “If you still want to be the mistress of this house, then I suggest you lie low and stay out of my life.”

With that, Theo grabbed Aurora’s hand and moved towards the door. “Let’s go. Fast.”

“No! Let go. I haven’t--,” Aurora struggled to get free. She wants to return a slap to that woman before she goes. God knows when she would have the chance!

“She’s not worth it, babe. Let’s just leave. Now.”

“What’s the hurry?” Aurora frowned in annoyance, holding her swollen cheek, wincing in pain.

As they stepped through the main door, a bloodcurdling scream shook the airwaves and pierced their ears.

Theo paused in front of his car. “That is your answer.”

Aurora was annoyed and she told Theo so.

Theo chuckled lightly as he placed the cold, wrapped towel on her cheek. “It’s over, babe. Just let it go.”

They were back at Theo’s apartment.

Once they left the mansion, despite Aurora’s protests, Theo drove straight to his apartment and dragged her into the elevator, and then out of it. She stayed near the elevator, insisting that she would tend to her own wounds and that Theo should mind his own business.

Her determination immediately faltered when Theo threatened to carry her in, and the young billionaire watched with a broad grin, as his feisty goddess sprinted towards the kitchen and sat on the stool with a foul mood till now.

Aurora glared back at the grinning hunk and swung her small fist onto his hard biceps. “Don’t tell me to let-- ouch! Don’t tell me to let go, you blob,” she hissed.

“This blob happens to be your fiance.”

Aurora pressed the towel on her cheek and said nothing.

“What, no response to that? You were pretty confident back there when you self-declared my fiancee,” Theo teased.

“What did you tell your mother?”

She’s avoiding the topic again, Theo thought and chuckled at the floor. When he lifted his gaze again, he answered her quietly, “I told her that I have evidence of her brother stealing from the company.”

“Her brother? Doesn’t that make him your uncle?”

Theo nodded solemnly.

“That’s why I have been digitizing all the accounts. You were trying to keep him off the records.”

Theo reached out to caress her swollen cheek and Aurora winced at the sting of his touch.

“Is it better?” His voice was tender again.

Mesmerized, Aurora blushed furiously while nodding her head.

His thumb continued to stroke the smoothness of her skin. He was gazing at her rosy lips as he whispered, “You handled her very well.”

“You mean your mother?” Aurora flashed an adorable grin.

“Not many women can handle her,” Theo leaned in to kiss her brow.

When he leaned back, Aurora had a sour look. “How many women have you dated?”

Theo kissed her nose and smiled at her. “You're curious because you’re my girlfriend or fiancee?”

Aurora widened her gaze again. They were back at the same topic. D*mn this smarta*s! Aurora groaned inwardly.

“You didn’t like that she called you piccolo. Why?” Aurora pressed the towel to her cheek again and grabbed his hand with her free hand.

Though she looked genuinely concerned, Theo noted her diversion again. But he still answered her, “She never calls me that - only my father. And zia. So when she called me in that way, it felt like she was mocking my father."

Aurora can tell from the grief in Theo’s eyes that he gravely missed his father.

“How did he die?”

Theo swallowed hard. “Cancer.” And he stood and turned from her. “I’ll rinse the towel.”

Feeling the need to comfort him, Aurora rushed forward and circled her arms around his waist, and hugged him from the back.

Her sudden display of affection startled him, but then he looked down at her small hands and felt comforted. Removing her hands, he turned to her and stroked her cheek.

Then, he lowered his lips onto hers and kissed her, slowly and undemanding, as if he had all the time in the world.

Her mouth opened immediately and his tongue swept in to caress her and explore her sweet offering, deepening the kiss. He felt her arms around his neck and wound his around her slender waist, and drew her closer. Her soft curves molded so perfectly against the contours of his body like she was made for him.

He sighed in bliss.

His hands slid down her back and cupped her bottom. A squeal of surprise vibrated from her throat when he lifted her onto the counter and began to nuzzle the side of her neck.

Shivers spread to her limbs, making her long for more of his touches. Instinctively, she tilted her head so he could have better access, and was immediately rewarded with electrifying sensations coursing through her body.

“Theo…,” she sighed and tightened her arms around his neck to press his tantalizing lips harder onto her skin. They continued to scorch her skin with his passionate kissing until he abruptly lifted his head and looked into her eyes.

“Aurora,” his voice was raw with desire.

She swallowed and answered in a low whisper, “Yes, Theo?”

“I don’t care what we are. I’m taking you to bed,” his gaze intensified.

Her lips trembled with need as she replied in a bare whisper. “Oka--.”

She moaned into his mouth as he swiftly captured her lips for another long, erotic kiss. Sliding his hands under her thighs, he hoisted her against him, so that he wouldn't break the kiss, and she immediately wound her legs around his waist and locked her ankles behind him.

As they continued devouring each other's mouths, he carried her upstairs.

Once her feet touched the carpeted floor, he turned her around so that her back was facing him. He began kissing and sucking the sensitive skin of the back of her neck and felt her quiver under his touch. Smiling and panting, he removed his lips from her to unzip her dress and unbuckle her bra, and slipped both hands in to explore more of her silky skin.

As he cupped her breasts, she closed her eyes and let out a sigh of pleasure to let him know that she liked what he was doing to her, so he continued kneading the soft globes as his mouth drizzled more kisses across her shoulders. She leaned against him for support as he continued to evoke streaks of longing in her.

When her dress finally slid off her shoulders and pooled around her ankles, she felt a cold wash of air and goosebumps erupted all over her body. She was tingling with the need for more of his touches and turned around to face him.

She wasn’t shy of her body and stood proudly before him. Her confidence drew him to her. His gaze moved slowly down her body, drinking in her sexy contours.

“You’re so d*mn beautiful,” he whispered with an anxious need to touch her.

The roughness of his voice and the sweetness of his words fueled her desire. Eager to feel every inch of him, she lunged forward, grabbed his chiseled jaw and pulled him down for a hard kiss as he stripped out of his clothes.

They fell into bed together.
