Chapter 29
Giovanni, sends Emmanuel away. I feel slightly embarrassed that he's just seen me bound and vulnerable.
"You're about to show me your skills outside of the bedroom Gatita." The buckles are unloosened and I'm ordered to stand. "Cross me and you will be dead."
"I know." I say rubbing my wrists. "What do you need me to do?" Giovanni, lights up with pride but only briefly.
"You're going to help me find my sister and if you're good I'll bring you back here to finish what we started." He says seductively.
"As long as I get to kill Antonio, I don't care."
My neck is quickly in his grasp as it has been many times before.
"While you're out there remember who you belong to." He says gruffly.
"You." I say compliantly.
"You're going to need this."
Before I could inquire on what this is, I'm greeted by a harsh devouring kiss. Followed by a needle being shoved straight to my heart. I gasp into his mouth, and I feel like I've just been hit by a semi-truck.
"Adrenaline, I'll need you on you're a game." He says into my gapping mouth.
The adrenaline begins to course through my veins and I'm ready to kill. I will kill everyone in my path to kill Antonio, and his family for everything they've done.
"How much time to we have?" I ask.
"Not long."
Giovanni, steps closer and removes my collar. I instantly slap him. His eyes become dark and hungry.
"You deserve that." I say a in a matter of fact tone. "I need something to wear unless you're ok with everyone seeing me like this."
Giovanni, places a black silk robe over me and we exit the play room back to my prison. He leads me out of the room into his safe house. The same one I came to before. The one that I received the chilling phone call of Santiago's death. I feel like that was the start of the domino effect that I call my life. After his death all I have witnessed is death, and now I feel that Isabella's death will be on my hands. After all, it was me who told Antonio, to pursue her.
"I need a gun." I say as I zip up the leather jacket.
"You look pretty damn good in leather."
"A gun, now Gio. I do not have time to play your game of cat and mouse."
Giovanni, steps to me in his custom tailored suit and a smirk plastered across his lips. His husky scent fills my nostrils and I know it's not just adrenaline coursing through my veins.
"I need to make a phone call. Emmanuel, will show you to the guns and then you will meet me out front."
I exit the door to find Emmanuel, standing with his arms folded across his chest. I had no time to dwell on the view he'd seen earlier, right now I need to kill. Emanuel, instantly began
"The brother who has Isabella, his name is Gabriel. He crossed paths with Franco, Gio's brother years ago. Antonio, your friend was born under the name Francisco, but changed it to become part of your organization."
"Antonio, is nothing to me." I said with narrowed eyes. "It will be good for you to remember that while we are out there today."
"Oh dear Scarlett, I have a great memory." He said with a smirk and a wink.
The memory of me bound, spread open, and vulnerable was written all over his face.
"We find Gabriel, we find Isabella. What do we know so far?"
"We know that Gabriel, asked for you to deliver his brother alive or Isabella dies."
"Ok got it I'm the bait, and not one of yours so it's ok to lose me over Isabella." I say it in a cruel tone, and Emmanuelle's face stiffens. "I would have made the same decision for my family. We have no time to waste. I need to know what the play is."
"Well first you'll need these."
Emmanuelle, opens the door to what looks like an armory. A white room with shelves of guns and explosives. I see there's a black duffel bag and load up the guns. I place two .45 caliber hand guns into my thigh holster. Emmanuelle, hands me an ivory and diamond encrusted revolver.
"We need to go."
I throw duffel bag over my shoulder and walk out ready to kill. I don't care about living or dying because she's innocent, and a part of me knows I'm going to survive. It's what I do. I survive. We head out of the house and waiting at the bottom of the steps is Giovanni. I don't make eye contact, I stare straight ahead to the open van door where Antonio is sitting. Hands tied behind his back, and a black cloth over his head. Out of pure instinct, I touch my gun in my holster.
"Settle down Gatita." Giovanni, whispers in my ear. "You will get your chance, but not now."
I take in a deep breath and sit across from him in the van and he takes in a long whiff.
"Scarlett, I wish I could see your face right now. Now that you know it was me who killed your entire family." He lets out a chuckle and the barrel of my gun is on his forehead. "Do it. Pull the trigger. Pull it like I did to your mother."
"When I pull the trigger Antonio, I want you to look me in my eyes. I want my face to be the last thing you see." I say before I hit him in the temple with the bottom of the revolver, and he passes out.
