Chapter 82 Bluffing
Mrs. Taylor's performance was very vivid, and she can be said to have played a doting mother to perfection.
However, Laura did not want to pay any attention to her. She continued to walk in the direction of Class 8 without saying a word.
Mrs. Taylor was a little upset - she was rarely willing to be nice to Laura, but what did Laura mean by ignoring her?
"Laura, stop!"
At the other end of the hallway, several Class 8 students came up to her.
"Isn't that Laura?"
"Yeah. Is Laura being bullied?"
"Come on, let's go check it out."
Hearing Mrs. Taylor's shout, Laura wanted to stop. But her patience dissipated when she thought of the scold she might have to face. So Laura continued on her way, without pausing, as if she hadn't heard anything.
Mrs. Taylor was so mad that she gritted her teeth and cursed "You bitch" and tried to grab Laura.
Just then, however, some of the students stopped her.
"Auntie, you're a grown-up and you're still bullying a little girl, aren't you? Aren't you ashamed of yourself?"
"I'm telling you that don't think we dare not beat you just because you're older. Next time we see you bullying Laura..." these boys showed they were eager for a fight.
Mrs. Taylor's anger instantly disappeared and turned to fear and retreat.
"I, I know, you, you can not hit me..."
...
Laura was relieved to finally get rid of Mrs. Taylor.
She was just about to walk into the class when she suddenly thought of something. She turned around and walked to a secluded corner.
Dialing the phone, Laura smiled and said, "Mr. Miller, it's me. I want to thank you for giving me the contact information of the law firm last time. If it wasn't for you, I would have trouble now dispelling the rumors..."
Carl smiled, "You don't have to say thank you for such a small thing. You're the one who did me a big favor..."
They talked for a while. Before hanging up, Laura suddenly remembered something and asked, "Mr. Miller, can you do me a favor?"
"A favor? Of course!"
"Can you keep an eye on what rare herbs are for sale at the auction these days? I have an urgent need."
"Oh, well... Easy."
Carl thought for a moment and sent Laura a URL and an account number.
"I'm dim-sighted from old age. If you need anything, you can check on it."
Laura casually clicked on the URL and fought out that it was the largest underground materials market online.
"Thanks! This is a real help to me!"
It seemed that it wouldn't take long for something to be done to help Marcus' grandfather with his poison.
...
In the meantime, a group of people online who were watching the hilarity are still waiting to see the follow-up of Laura's lawsuit.
"It's been such a long time and nothing's happened. Is Laura bluffing?"
