Chapter 27: Uninvited Guest

Jasmine's POV

"ZENIA! ZENIA!" I called for my sister as soon as I entered my apartment.

I rushed to her bedroom where I found her hiding her chest area with a bed sheet and a male voice was coming from the computer. I only managed to get a quick look at him.
He had sandy brown hair and hair and brown eyes.

"Jesus! Jasmine what are you doing home so early?" she asked with a panic and shut the computer.

"Girl, were you having Skype sex with some guy?" I asked with a laugh.

Her face flushed with embarrassment and I couldn't help but to laugh even harder. "So that's what you do when I'm at work? And I thought you told me last night that you're starting a summer job at Las Chicas Boutique. Why aren't you at work?" I folded my arms and waited for her answer.

She put on her tank top and got out of the bed. "The manager called me this morning. I'll be starting tomorrow afternoon."

"That's great. I'm so proud of you."

"Thanks. I'm willing to help you wherever I can. The rent is on me this month."

"No. I want you to save. Open up an account and save your money."

"Okay. I'll do that. Why are you home so early though? It's not even 12:00 yet."

A big smile spread across my face and her eyes lit up because she knew I had a juicy gossip for her, but I wanted to tease her first.

"So, guess what?" I started.

"What? What? What?"

"I have a dinner date this evening."

"Bradley is really desperate," she said coldly and sat on her bed.

"No, girl. I have a dinner date with Mr. CEO of Hollen Tower!" I screamed as I did a silly dance.

Zenia rushed to me with a big hug and a loud squeal. "Are you serious? Where's he taking you?"

"To his parents house," I answered as a cold chill calmed my heated nerves.

"What?" Zenia asked, stepping back. "He's already taking you home to meet his folks?"

"No... Well, yes... It's more like a business date sort of thing."

"Bitch, shut up. Stop trying to limit this. He's taking you home to his mom and dad for a dinner date, this is a big deal. He likes you, Jassy. How many rich guys takes their assistants to their family house."

"A few."

"Exactly. You've made an impact on this man."

"Girl, whatever! Can you please use some of your magic on me this evening? I'm dinning with his mom, dad, sister and younger brother. I want to make a good first impression, especially on his mom, since I already met his father."

"Really?"

''Yeah. He came by the office for a meeting with his son. Can you believe he hugged me instead of shaking my hand like a normal gentleman? He's not stuck up for a rich man. He's so down to earth and friendly, and funny too."

"Jas , this is great. Play your cards right and you'll end up the next Mrs. Hollen."

I laughed.

"Move out of the way," Zenia said, pushing me aside and standing in the closet. She scanned my dresses. "Here!" she said, tossing over a white two piece dress with long lace sleeves.

"This?" I asked alarmingly.

She scoffed at my reaction. "Yes. It's respectable enough for his parents, but at the same time you don't want to bore him. So the lace exposure should be enough to have those eyes on you the whole time," she answered with a satisfied smile.

I scoffed that time.

"Okay. Lets get started on that hay bed on your head."

"What! My hair isn't a hay bed!" I scolded.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah."

She tossed me my Argan oil shampoo and conditioner.

After washing my hair and air drying it, I trimmed my toe nails and had my sister polish them. I watched her pair the outfit with accessories and decide on the perfect hairstyle to put my hair in. Then, finally, it was time to get dressed.

I stepped out the shower, toweled off my skin, applied lotion and stepped into my two-piece dress, very carefully so I wouldn't leave a mark on it. The dress hugged me in all the right places, but it made my booty looked too huge for my liking.

I called Zenia in my bedroom immediately. "I can't wear this!" I protested.

"Why?" she asked.

"This is too slutty-ish. Look at this! I have two asses!" I turned my back towards her so she could have a perfect look.

"Damn girl, you're going have that man drooling all over you."

"Zenia, stop it!"

"Jassy, would you relax! You look great. I don't see what's the problem. You have a nice ass, so what? He'll just spank it," she laughed out.

"I'm meeting his parents. I look like a hooker."

"No you don't. You look beautiful and so sophisticated."

She guided me to the seat at my computer desk, plugged in my curling iron and began styling my hair.

"Time for your accessories now," she said when she was through with my hair. She handed me my pair of black wedges, gold bracelet and gold necklace, not actual gold though or else I would have pawned it a long time ago. "WOW!" she said, taking a step backwards and admiring her 'project' when everything was complete and I was ready to go.

It was 6:25 pm. I was pacing the sitting room back and fort, palms sweaty and mumbling words to calm myself.

"Girl, please settle yourself. You're acting like a bloody chicken without a head. Relax!" Zenia scolded.

"He'll be here any minute, Zenia," I said, taking a seat now.

"Wait! He's coming here?"

"Yes."

"Bitch, you got me looking like a runaway slave while you're all on fleek. I can't meet him like this!" she ran towards her bedroom.

A knock came at the door.

Instant panic came over me.

Calm down. It's only a casual dinner date.

"Hi," I greeted as I opened the door to the handsomeness standing there.

He looked so perfect and down to earth in plain black jeans, clean white T-shirt and white sneakers. His hair slicked back to his head, eyes luminous and a bright smile on his lips. He really was the most handsome man I'd ever laid eyes on. Magazines and television didn't do him enough justice.

"Wow, you look so damn beautiful," he complimented, which made me form a big smile. His eyes scanned me as he bit his bottom lip. And I felt the sparks already.

"Thank you. And so do you," I complimented him back.

"So are you ready?" he asked.

I nodded yes.

"Oh, I know you're not about to leave before introducing me to your date," my sister blurted out, coming towards the door.

"I'm sorry. I completely forgot about you," I apologized with a small laugh.

"Yes. I can see why," she said.

Evan flashed a huge smile. "Hi I'm Evan," he said, stepping inside and extending his hand. She shook it.

"I'm Zenia. Jasmine's sister. It's so nice to finally meet you."

"Likewise."

"Bye Zenia," I ended her staring at him.

Evan walked out and I followed suit.

"Jassy wait!" Zenia called. I stopped in my path. She came up and whispered in my ear. "Please tell me what his younger brother looks like when you get back."

I couldn't hold back from a big laugh.

Evan smiled at us as he stood five feet away.

"Girl, bye," I dismissed her.

She went back indoors and I followed Evan to his car. He opened the door for me, just like a gentleman. I got into the passenger's side and he got into the driver's seat.

"You really look stunning," he complimented again.

"Thanks." I mentally thanked Zenia.

He pulled off the pavement and held my left hand with his right for the entire car ride to his parents' mansion.

______________

I opened the car door and got out when he did. He came over to me, held my hand again and led us through a glass door. "We're here!" he called as we entered into a room that was absolutely breathtaking.

A maid greeted us. "Good evening, Mr. Hollen. How are you doing?"

"I'm fine Dory. This is my date. Jasmine," he introduced me.

"Hello Jasmine and welcome."

"Thank you," I said to her.

"This way to the dinning room. Mr. and Mrs. Hollen will be down shortly, but EJ is already at the table. He was very eager to see you again, and when he heard you were bringing a date, he went even crazier," she said as we followed her pass two living rooms. She opened a door and allowed us to walk in.

A huge dinning table awaited. And sitting at it, was the younger image of Evan. I recognized him from the office.

"Bro!" his excitement got the best of him. He got up and hugged his big brother. Evan returned his embrace and tapped him on the back before ruffling his hair. EJ growled lowly.

"Let me introduce you to my date, Jasmine. Jasmine this is my little brother, Ethan Junior. Or you can call him EJ for short."

"It's nice to meet you," I said, extending my hand. He didn't take it. He hugged me instead.

"It's nice to meet you, too," he said back, after releasing me from his embrace. He was just like his father.

"Hello," a cheerful voice said behind us.

Emily had arrived with her date. She was wearing a green dress, fitting tight at the top and falling loosely at her ankles. I couldn't get a clean look at her shoes, but knowing the wealth these people were sitting on, they had to be expensive.

Evan greeted his sister and so did I. She greeted him with a wave but greeted me with a hug.

Evan pulled out a chair, allowing me to take a seat. He sat down right beside me, which calmed my nerves, since I was getting nervous again by the minute.

The door opened and a couple walked in.

"Hi Halley, hey Martin," Emily said with a darling smile.

She wouldn't call her mom 'Halley', so that definitely wasn't her. I didn't recognize them though.

"That's my parents' best friends, Halley and Martin. They have a son together but he's spending the summer with his grandmother," Evan said in a whisper to my ears.

"Okay," I answered back softly, watching as they take a seat opposite from us.

The doors opened again.

"Hello everybody," Mr. Hollen greeted. He was dressed casually like his sons and following right behind him was a very beautiful black woman.

That explains it.

My nerves calmed instantly this time. Evan got up and I followed suit.

"Hi mom," he greeted her with kisses on both cheeks.

"Hi sweetie. How are you?" she asked.

"I'm alright. Mom this is my date, Jasmine Blackman. Jasmine, this is Emma Hollen, my mother," he introduced with a smile, like he was very pleased of letting me meet her.

"Hello, sweetie, and welcome to our home," she said instantly and I was pulled into another hug.

"Thank you," I replied.

"Have a seat, please," she gestured.

Evan and I sat down again.

The dinner was being served by two chefs and Dory.

"Sir, you have another guest," a man dressed in a black uniform said as he came into the room.

He must be a security guard.

"No. Everyone is here," Mr. Hollen answered.

"She said she was invited," he replied.

"Who?" Mrs. Hollen asked, shifting her eyes to the doors.

"Hello everybody," Jessica greeted with a bright smile on her face as she walked in.

Everyone froze, including me.
