Chapter 24: In Which He Calls

Ashton moved the curtain aside and peered out the window that offered the view of the street and sure enough, just as he had expected there was a black SUV parked outside the house with tinted windows offering no view of the men inside.
They were gonna tail them wherever they went and that wold make things a lot harder.
He pulled the curtains back in place and turned around facing sora who was sitting at the kitchen island on a high barstool all wrapped up in a blanket and lost in thoughts as she was more playing with the scrambled eggs than eating them, a solemn expression adorned on her face.
Yesterday's events had taken a toll on her,it was exactly the kind of thing he was afraid of when getting into a relationship with her but now it was too late and his priority was to get them out of this god forsaken mess.
Last night, when they had gotten back home late, she hadn't let go of him no matter what he said or what he tried, he had given up after a while and just laid with her til sleep consumed them both.
He sighed and made his way over to her,pulling her out of her thoughts as he wrapped his us around her petite form from behind and placing a kiss on her neck.
"You are not eating properly love, You hadn't eaten last night either, what are you thinking so hard about?" he asked.
"I...I... I am sorry Ashy, acted like such a baby yesterday I wasn't brave at all... I only made the situation harder for us an..." Ashton interrupted her with his lips on hers,grabbing the back of her neck and Slipping tongue in her mouth.
The kiss was sough and possessive, one that didn't give Sora time to respond back but hard her moaning against him nonetheless.
He pulled after a minute, leaving her breathless and with swollen lips, all flushed.
"You listen to me now, you will never be a burden on me, ever. As for how you reacted was completely natural and understandable doll, II don't expect you to act brave or heroic in situations like this, you kidnapped for f- god's sake, this whole situation was because of me, this is what people I get close to get in return, this is why I was afraid in getting in a relationship with you, you in no way are at fault here baby" Ashton said with sincerity.
"I love you Ashy and I just wanna be with you no matter what" she said, nuzzling her face in his neck.
"Good. Now eat" he picked up the fork and started feeding her himself.
She did like being babied by him.
Once done, they moved into the living room where he sat down with her on the couch and turned on the tv for some background noise.
They were both silent for a while, none of them actually focusing on the telly, just staring at it while their thoughts wandered elsewhere.
They still hadn't brought up the subject of the man Ashton had to kill in order to get them out of this predicament but Sora couldn't take it anymore. She had to ask.
"Ashy, are you really gonna kill this man?"
Ashton was silent for a few moments but finally spoke up.
"I don't know doll, I don't know. I don't want to, that would be stooping down to his level and I'd be no better than him"
"Then don't Ashy! please don't, I'd rather die than have you kill somebody else just to save me. I don't want you to do it because it will change you forever, there will be no going back and he will expect you to do it again for him, there would be no stopping him from threatening my safety and blackmailing you to kill using me" Sora said, climbing on his lap and cupping his face with both her dainty hands which were soft against his five O'clock shadow.
"I am not gonna let you die Sora, but you are right it would change things forever if I go through with it, even between us and he would make me do it again if i go through with it this once" Ashton agreed.
"Good, then we figure out something else okay?"
"Okay"
Ashton had spent all day going through his contacts and raking his mind through how several scenarios might play out for them and not many were in their favor but he did find an old contact in his phone which led him to an idea.
This could either work well in his favour or screw everything up. He had to take the chance though and so he dialed the number.
"Detective Seo Jin, I have a direct lead for you to take down the entirety of the Takahashi empire, we need to meet"
