Chapter 14

Ashley heard someone called her name so she turned only to be dumbfounded. It’s Dorky’s cousin! He was all smiles as he walked to her. She had the sudden desire to turn away from him because Jett was coming anytime.
"Hi Ash! It must be my lucky day. I just came back from Macau. Can we finally do the photo shoot? I’m sure your schedule is not as tight as last time? " He said with a boyish smile.
"C-Chad..hmm.. I can't....I don't think..."
"It's okay. We can have it whenever you’re ready. I can wait.” He moved forward to see her closer.
She froze when she heard a familiar voice cursed. She turned and saw how red Jett's face was .His nostrils were flaring and he was looking at Chad as if wanting to kill him right here at this moment.
"L-Love.." She moved to she was between him and Chad. She could feel her heart beating fast. He man was on the warpath. He was breathing shallowly. "L-Love..h-he is..Dale’s cousin..." she said while stuttering.
She had her face raised at him and she wished that he would look into her eyes. Some people outside the store stopped walking and were now curiously looking at them. There were also some shoppers inside who were doing the same thing. She thought she saw two or three of them taking photos or probably recording what was happening. Her eyes went back to Jett. She put her palms on his abs to get his attention. He gripped her arms but his eyes were still on Chad. He was glowering at him.
"Out of my way ..." he said to her through almost clamped lips.
"Noo..! P-Please Love..." She begged. "Sir Jett!" a female voice called.
"Tell the people to go out then close the f*cking door Thea!" he demanded, without taking his eyes off Chad.
The other man was holding the stare. He was poker-faced. She tried to see who the woman called Thea was. The female was in a black and white uniform. She frowned when she looked at the store’s name. It’s IRM.
"Sir...." Thea’s voice seemed a bit scared and unsure.
Cursing, Jett turned his head to where the woman is. "DO IT!" he angrily said.
Thea nodded and motioned to three male staff but they didn’t have to ask the customers to go out because they themselves hurriedly got out of the shop. One of the male staff closed the door and locked it. She moved closer to Jett. She was murmuring their endearment while still trying to catch his eyes. She was hoping that he won't do anything violent. She witnessed how he could be when enraged.
"Didn't Dale tell you that Ashley is my woman?!" He asked Chad through clenched teeth.
She lowered her eyes. She was now staring at her man's chest. His breathing was ragged. She didn’t know if he could hear her heartbeat because the shop was very quiet.
"He did." Came Chad’s cold reply.
Jett cursed and his hands went around her waist to lift her like a feather. Before she knew it, he got her out of the way and flied at Chad.
"LOVE!" she shrieked.
Jett did a flying sidekick. Chad was hit on the chest and fell on one of the racks. Still on the ground, Jett picked him up by the collar and targeted his nose with a palm strike before punching him on the stomach. He then kept on smacking Chad while he held him steady by his hands on his collar. Dale’s cousin wasn't able to defend himself because Jett was too fast.
She felt her knees wobbled so she weakly leaned on the display window . Chad’s face was bloody so she closed her eyes.
Then a female’s voice thundered in the room. She called Jett and ordered the male staff to stop him and get him off Chad. Just when she felt she might fall, she was enclosed by someone’s arms. The woman helped her to move to the corner.
"Stay here." The tall woman gently told her and she just nodded.
She leaned her back on the glass window and shut her eyes again. She didn’t want to see the aftermath of Jett’s rage..
"Thea stay with her !" came the female’s firm voice again.
"Don't f*cking touch me!" She heard Jett say.
He kept on kicking Chad who was on the floor, whimpering in pain.
"Jett! STOP IT! Bring him to my office!” The female ordered the male staff but Jett kicked Chad again before the three can help him walk to the small room behind the cash register.
"Stop it Jett! Are you going to kill him?!!"
She opened her eyes and saw the tall woman holding on to Jett’s arm. The three men brought Chad into the small office. ***
The tall woman was Brenda, Jett’s cousin. His mother and Brenda’s father were siblings. She was the sister of Nicolo who was training Jett. Brenda managed some of the IRM shops whose owner was their aunt.
Thea handed her a glass of water and asked her if is she was okay. She was sitting on a chair in front of the register while the cousins were talking on one side of the shop. They couldn’t hear what they were talking about but one thing was obvious, Jett was still very much angry and Brenda was trying to calm him down.
She got the glass of water and thanked the female staff. She felt weak after seeing her bad*ss boyfriend badly injured his friend’s cousin. The latter on the other hand was still inside Brenda’s office. He was being treated by a doctor and a nurse from the hospital in front of the mall. She was hoping that his injuries weren’t that serious. She saw one of the male staff got a shirt from the display and brought it to the office. It was probably for Chad. What just happened was a confirmation that Jett was capable of doing anything when he was enraged. ***
"I am not done yet with that fu*king d*ckhead!" Jett told his cousin through clenched teeth.
"Will you just stop it? You have just beaten up your friend’s cousin for crying out loud! I thought you are a changed man? You are back to your barbaric ways! For all you know what you did is already trending on social media!”
"Do you think I f*cking care? That trash was almost touching my girl!" He cursed while raking his fingers to his hair.
He turned his head to look at Ashley. He narrowed his eyes. If she didn’t run from him, this would never had happened.
"So you don't care if your father learned about this? You will waste all your effort just because you are so narrow- minded? You should have talked to your girlfriend first before causing that man serious injury! “she threw Ashley a glance with sharp eyes.
"Shut the f*ck up Brenda!! I will pay for all the damage if that’s what you are worried about! “he rasped before angrily turning to go to the small office.
Brenda hollered to her staff to close the office’s door. She followed him and held on his arm to stop him but she ended up being dragged by him. Luckily, before they reached the door, it was closed and locked from the inside.
Jett removed Brenda’s hand on his arm and hit the closed door with his fist. Brenda just stepped back while Ashley and Thea stared in awe.
"I will finish you off next time you come near my woman you f*cking son of a b*tch!" he threatened Chad. He kicked the door a few times before going to his girlfriend.
"L-Love.." came Ashley’s small voice when he got her arm to pull her up.
"Now I will deal with you..!" He said through clenched teeth.
"JETT!" called Brenda but Jett ignored her.
When they stepped out of the shop, they heard Dale’s voice calling him. Worry, fear and hesitation were evident in his face.
"Dude!" He came closer to them with his wheelchair. His crutches were on his lap.
"Didn't you tell your stupid cousin that my girl is off-limits?! "Jett asked in a very cold voice.
"I did dude..."
"Talk to your cousin again or next time I will really finish him! And tell those two d*ckheads that I will deal with them really soon! I saw how they were looking at my girl!"
"O-Okay dude.."
"I will spare you because you are still injured but next time I see your cousin come near my woman again….” He intentionally didn’t finish his sentence because Dale knew what he meant.
Dale nodded and without removing his angry eyes from him, Jett got one of his crutches and using his knee, broke it into two like it was just a dry twig. He threw the other one near the escalator.
Ashley and Dale were wide eyed with their mouth slightly open with what he did. Jett pulled Ashley to him and left Dale.
Now as they were waiting for the door of the elevator to open, he spoke. "If you didn't leave my side then none of this would have happened! Next time you do a thing like that you will see worst!"
Ashley just nodded. He gripped her chin to raise her face .
"Did you hear me?!" he asked through clenched teeth.
"Yes.." she replied in a small voice.
Then the door opened so he released her chin.
(Ashley’ POV) A small smile broke her lips when she saw who was in the lift. It's Luis, minus Rina.
"Ashley..." he smiled back at her but his brows creased when he looked at her boyfriend.
Jett pushed the open button to stop the doors from closing. "Out!" he ordered Luis.
She bit her lower lip and frowned. She transferred her eyes to Luis. Through her eyes she wants to apologize for Jett’s rudeness.
Before stepping out of the lift, Luis nodded at her as if to accept her sorry on behalf of Jett.
"Reserve a suite on your wedding. We'll stay overnight." Jett told the other man which made her frown .
Do they know each other? She asked herself.
"I thought Patrick and his wife can't stay overnight?" asked Luis.
"It's for me and Ashley." He replied matter-of-factly then pulled her inside the elevator without waiting for the other man's answer.
Before the door closed, she saw Luis nodded.
"D-Do you know Luis?" she asked.
He didn't answer and without warning, he leaned her back on the wall. He pinned her arms above her head. He pressed his hard body on her softer one. She felt her mouth went dry. He lowered his head and one of his hands tilted her chin. His eyes were glinting but they still looked steely. His expression was wooden.
"Yes! He is my cousin! I planned everything so you will be their photographer." he confessed.
Her heart pounded. What he said made her more scared of him but at the same time sexually aroused. Though he was still in a black mood, obviously he was having a hard on. She could feel his arousal above her tummy. His warm and minty breath fanning her face was making her body tingle.
"I did that to get you and I am ready to do anything just to keep you mine! " he said breathily before pushing the emergency button and kissed her roughly on the mouth.
