Chapter 34

JULIAN moved away and picked her up. He brought Prudence to her room and gently put her down to bed. She was filled with anticipation and excitement when he started undressing. She was shy to look at him at first, but she realized later on that there was no need for that as he would see her as well. Soon, he joined her in bed.
She was holding her breath when he slowly pulled her dress, leaving the lingerie as the only piece of cloth on her body. But Julian decided to keep it in place and kissed her. He trailed kisses to her jaw, down her neck, until his warm lips reached the top of her breast. He showered both with butterfly kisses, sucking at each tip one at a time while his hand was playing with the other. Prudence might not have experience with that department, but she wasn’t innocent at all. She knew Julian was preparing her for something greater… something that the two of them could share.
“Julian, please… take me now,” she drawled as he slid his lips down her body.
She thought he would go even lower, but he stopped midway and played his tongue on her navel. Prudence shut her eyes, still feeling the moment and the sensation it was bringing her. Julian was almost there; any minute now, he would take her… all of her.
“Oh, Julian…”
She grabbed his hair when his face landed between her thighs. Her lingerie was still on, but she could already feel the warmth of his lips and his breath. It instantly sent shivers running up and down her spine. Prudence thought she would go crazy.
“Julian, please…” She almost cried.
He looked up and met her gaze. There was desire laced with mischief in them. Then she suddenly remembered that he loved being in control.
“Why are you so impatiently, Prudence?” He mumbled as he grabbed the band of her lingerie. He gently pulled it down and threw it on the floor. “There is no need to worry… I will take you there, but first… let me pleasure you. Isn’t this your first?”
She swallowed hard and nodded afterward in response.
“I want this night to be memorable… something you wouldn’t forget for the rest of your life….” Julian drawled while he parted her legs.
She gasped when his fingers gently parted her now wet folds, and then his finger played with her nub. Jolts of electricity crept all over her body. It felt like every inch of her was coming back to life. Soon, her breathing went hard. The sensation building down there went stronger, making her toes curl. She was closer to something that would definitely blow her mind once she had reached it.
“Julian!” A loud moan escaped her lips.
But he didn’t mind and continued his assault. The next thing she knew, his finger was going in and out of her, making her even crazier.
“Please… Julian, please…” she cried.
This time, he heard her plea. He went on top of her, kissed her lips, and gently lowered himself to her. Prudence spread her legs wider and welcomed him. She felt pain, though it was something she could bear. It eventually faded anyway because Julian knew what to do.
“Julian…” Her hand reached for his face and caressed his cheek.
He then brought her hand to his lips and kissed it as he continued thrusting above her.
And then there was her heart battling with her mind if what she was doing at that moment was right or wrong. She could only hope that it wasn’t something she would regret in the end…
Soon she heard Julian groaning, his muscles started to tense, and his pace went faster… harder. Prudence was near the peak as well, waiting for him.
“Join me…” she muttered as she framed his face with her hands and gave him a quick but deep kiss on the lips.
“Are you sure?” He pressed his forehead against hers.
“Yes…”
With one long thrust, she felt him come inside her. Their bodies were both trembling when he collapsed on top of her.
Julian then eased himself from her and lay on her side. She thought that was it, but he pulled her close afterward and snuggled with her. Prudence didn’t know quite well if it was okay to feel good about it. But then, she just let herself feel that moment and that special connection between them. She would wonder what would come next tomorrow or perhaps later when he left the bed to go home.
Soon, she felt her eyelids getting heavy.
“You must be exhausted,” he whispered, kissing her eyes one at a time. “You may sleep if you want. I won’t do anything.”
“I feel sore.” She never thought she could be that honest.
“I’m sorry about that. I think I was a little rough.” Julian pulled her more until they were skin-to-skin again.
She felt something hard poking her, making her realize that he was aroused again.
“Y-you are—”
“Don’t mind it. It’s fine.”
She doubted it.
“It will hurt, Julian.”
“Then so be it. You said you are sore, and I don’t want to—”
“But there is another way to work it out.” She moved away from him and was about to give it a go when his phone suddenly rang.
“Don’t mind it,” he said.
But the ringing didn’t stop.
Prudence heaved a sigh and wrapped herself in the blanket.
“Answer it. It must be urgent. Perhaps it’s your father calling you.”
He looked at her for a couple of seconds before he left the bed while she stayed there and watched him donning his clothes.
“I will be back,” he said as he strode to the door with the ringing phone in his hand.
“Hm.” She nodded her head and smiled.
Prudence left the bed after a few moments and went to the bathroom. Perhaps a warm bath would help.

JULIAN stared at his phone’s screen as it continued ringing. He had already reached the veranda but hadn’t answered the call. There was hesitation because the call was from an unknown number. He was always wary of calls from strangers and would always reject the call and wouldn’t give a damn. However, there was a voice inside his head that kept telling him to answer it.
He took a deep breath before he swiped to the right.
“Julian…”
He was stunned for a moment upon hearing the voice on the other line. There was no way he would forget that. He shut his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose, for he could be hallucinating. But the caller spoke again, giving him the confirmation that he needed.
“It’s me, Chase… your brother.”
“C-Chase… where the hell have you been? We’ve been worried about you—”
“It’s quite a long story, brother.” He heard him sigh. “I don’t have enough time for now to tell you everything.”
“For goodness sake, tell me you are safe, Chase!” He washed his hand to his face.
“I’m safe, brother. There is no need to worry too much now.”
“Fuck it! How can we not worry when it’s you?” He heaved a deep sigh. “When are you coming home? A lot has been going on since the day you disappeared.”
Julian turned in the direction of the house. He couldn’t help but feel scared of what would happen once his brother returned home. He could easily give up his position in the family because he wasn’t destined for that, to begin with. But there was someone whom he couldn’t give up now, and that was Prudence.
“Don’t worry. I will be back soon. I still have something to do before I return home.”
“Could you give me a heads up before you come home?”
“Of course, I will tell you. I need to talk to you first before I show myself to everyone. Listen, Julian… there are only two people in the family that I trust right now… it’s you and father. But please, keep this to yourself for now.”
“I-I understand.”
“Good. And oh, don’t save this number. I will call you with a different one.” His brother ended the call.
With fists clenched, Julian rushed back to Prudence. She was inside the bathroom when he returned to her bedroom. He decided to step in and join her in the shower.
“Julian…”
She gasped when he suddenly pinned her to the wall and kissed her hard on the lips.
“You are mine, Prudence…” he said breathily after the kiss. Julian then turned her around and took her from behind.
“I thought you… Ah!”
She screamed when his thrust went harder.
“Tell me to stop, Prudence,” he said.
“No…” she countered. “D-don’t stop….”
He was trying his best to hold himself back, but he just couldn’t, plus the fact that she allowed him to do what he wanted. Julian’s emotions had already consumed him even before she could notice.
That only meant one thing… he had lost.
