"Horrified"
Jeremy waited desperately on the other side of the phone waiting for his response.
"I can't forgive you but if Emilia would then I can decide something upon you" Rayven told his condition but still in a stern tone, not showing him any soft corner.
"Okay! Okay, I will no- I should actually! But promise me if I'll succeed in getting her forgiveness you'll behave normally with me like your brother as you used to do so! I promise I won't make any more mistakes in life!" Jeremy spoke in a thankful tone.
"Jeremy, it's too early to dream about those things! First, do you think she wants to glance at your face!" Rayven reminded him of the harsh reality.
"That's on me to do. You just gave me permission to meet her once' Jeremy spoke. His tone was requesting.
Silence settled itself for some moment over the phone.
Jeremy was holding his breath as he was desperate to hear his further response.
"See you in the evening" Rayven spoke and disconnected the call without bothering to hear his response.
Now, for some reason Rayven's heart felt light. He had finally found a little piece of mental peace.
He looked up at the sky to meet his eyes to the newborn sun rays reflecting his way.
Then he inhaled and exhaled deeply and started to jog towards his mansion. His head was pretty much cleared now.
---
"This girl is unbelievable" his mouth fell open in utter astonishment to see Emilia still sleeping when he entered her room after taking shower.
She had been sleeping since yesterday's afternoon and was still not up.
"What a cute little chicken she is! '' he couldn't help but to think when he saw her sleeping carelessly with her hands up like a baby she was.
He admitted that slowly she was becoming the reason for his smile. He couldn't recall if he had smiled this much just in a day in his whole life.
"Emilia" he shook her shoulder as he said.
"Get up. The sun is out already, little one".
She opened her eyes to look at him.
"What!" Now she is the same Emilia from the day before yesterday.
"Madam, how many hours are you going to sleep more? He bent onto her causing some dripping drops to fall in her face . she flinched as the water came in to interact with her skin.
"I'm getting up. M- move aside" she was afraid that he might hear her drumming heart.
He did as she said, still smiling.
She slowly sat up in bed. The person who was extremely active. It was painful for him to see someone moving this lazily.
"Do you want me to help you with washing up?" he offered with a mischievous grin.
"N- no"
And hearing upon his offer she stood up from the bed and rushed to the washroom at the speed of light.
Behind she could hear his loud chuckle. She huffed.
"I'm waiting at the breakfast" he spoke loud enough for her to hear and then walked out of the room.
---
"Good Morning, little one" he chipped like a happy bird when he saw her entering the dining area.
"M- morning" she answered, avoiding eye contact.
She clearly noticed the absence of the servants as only the butler was there.
She sat next to Rayven.
"W- where is your kitchen staff? She couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.
"I fu- he stopped in the middle of the cursing as he remembered that his little one was a fast learner.
"I don't need those incomplete persons in my place who couldn't take care of my personal belongings even" he continued as he told her indirectly.
His jaw dropped.
"Did he fire them all just because of me!" She couldn't believe it, but reality was in front of her.
Rayven's lips parted to say something but he didn't speak as he thought it wasn't the right time.
"Mr Hudson" hr smoothly gestured him to serve the breakfast.
Butler moved forward and started to serve breakfast as per he was ordered.
Then breakfast was done in silence.
-Time skip-
Evening ~
Emilia walked into the kitchen to get herself a glass of water as she felt thirsty.
Standing, she poured herself a glass of water. As she turned, scenery instantly blew her senses causing the glass to crash into the land.
The shivering sensation from yesterday was back in her body.
She couldn't believe how he could be here in the presence of Rayven. When he had told her that he won't let even any insect roam around her. Then what was this? Why wasn't he around when she was indeed now. What about the promises he had made to her yesterday! Was that all a lie?
Thousands of concerns popped up in her mind at the same time.
Jeremy was standing there. But his condition was making him look like some homeless beggar who was beaten to death. He did not look like that previous handsome and naughty goofy Jeremy. Not even a bit.
His condition was pitiful.
His arm was fractured. There was a big bruise around his eyes. And his left jaw was swollen. Not only that his right foot was plastered as well.
She could see those blue bruises on the exposed parts of his body.
All this was the outcome of Rayven's beat. He would've beaten him to death anyway if she had not stopped him.
She felt two hands tightening around her throat when her eyes met his. Even though he was injured, he could still do something to her, she believes.
"Y -you" she spoke with a horrified expression.
"Emi-
"Rayven!!!" She shouted instantly before he could say something with her color tuning pale.
"Rayven". "Rayven" she cried hysterically.
"Emilia please-
"Rayven...Rayven" she continued calling for her savior with her full strength of voice.
She felt that she'd faint any moment soon if Rayven won't be here soon.
"Emilia listen at least" Jeremy pleaded as he took a step forward.
She backed off losing her senses until her back hit the kitchen counter.
