Chapter 11 Cutting the Trip Short

“I suggest we leave for your city as soon as possible,” Hart said solemnly after they finished eating. Under the table, his hand was warm on Myra’s thigh, sending electrical volts down her back and inciting her arousal.
“Back to City V?” Myra gasped, pulling her legs together to contain her desire. Stop it, Hart, she uttered mentally. Fortunately, after a long silence, Hart moved his hand away, to her relief.
He stood up and made an enormous bow before the others.
“I’m deeply sorry for the inconvenience.”
Sierra’s eyes followed Hart’s hand gestures as he explained about his situation and how he had indirectly caused Myra to be entangled in his family affairs. His excellent body language would make anyone sympathise with his condition, given the fact he was an illegitimate son and his stepmother was causing issues. Also, the fact he was such a handsome man earned a bit of favour from Sierra.
“I don’t blame you. Actually, if not for the little mess back there, we wouldn’t have met that hot dude. But I agree, we need to go soon.”
Myra felt her tension leave her. But if the men were after Hart, why had they gone after her friends? Did Angelo know they were staying with her friends?
An hour passed. She showered and changed into a bathrobe, not used to the heat of the tropical weather. Then she opened the window of the room she shared with Sierra and took a deep breath. The window was sea-facing, so she could get a proper view of the scenery outside her room. The breeze took her hair up and swirled it around her head.
“Myra, don’t let it affect you,” his familiar seductive voice soothed her. She closed her eyes and allowed him to take her into an embrace. She didn’t want to talk right now. Hart had closed the door and locked it behind him when he entered the room, but it didn’t bother her. Maybe Sierra would be a little mad that he had locked her out of their shared room, but it was no biggie.
He continued in a loving tone, “I promise you, everything will be back to normal once we leave this place. We’ll live our lives as if nothing happened. I will keep you safe.”
He had said we.
So, they were going to leave together? What he had just said distracted her, yet she knew the answer in her mind. She wanted him to be with her, be it in Bali or City V. He was her consolation. Strongly, he lifted her into his arms and laid her gently on the bed.
Her heart raced. He had turned off the lights. How naughty!
Her arms hung loosely on each of her sides, on the soft bed. She kept her eyes closed, feeling the tug of the knots of her robe. His cologne was incredibly invigorating, relaxing her further. His lips touched her, opening her mouth to his tenderness.
All her life, she had never, ever felt like this. His hands slipped around her shoulders, removing the cloth around her so that she was naked under him.
She didn’t want him to stop. His kisses pulled her into a state of oblivion. At the same time, she felt his fingers streaking over her bare torso. The desire that she felt earlier was coming back to her. Now? How long did he want her to wait?
Suddenly, he stopped what he was doing and peeled his lips from hers. She struggled to open her eyes to discover the reason for his abrupt cessation of his conquest on her.
“Patient, Myra,”
Hearing his whisper, she closed her eyes once more.
The room was so silent that she soon heard him disrobing slowly. Once he was completely undressed, he joined her on the bed. She obeyed his instructions, moving into the position he wanted before she felt his fingers burrowing inside her core.
Mmm. She wanted him inside her. Much more than earlier.
Hart, please. She breathed harder and deeper as he slipped deeper inside her with his deft fingers, making her yearn more and more with his exploration.
In the darkness, feeling him grab her hips and plunge right into her was the best solace she could have ever wanted.
………………………………………………………………….
Myra snapped awake with a yawn, realising that she had dozed off. Luckily, Hart was still beside her, in spite that it was already deep in the night. A little prod woke him.
“Hart, what time is it? Sierra would want to come in and sleep, you know.”
Hart chuckled. “Rest, baby. Your friend has a companion tonight. She said to me, not a word about it, and she’ll pretend she saw nothing. In return, I have the night to spend with you in your room.”
“Uh, Sierra?” Myra shrugged. “What hunk did she sneak in this time?”
Hart just smiled. “You’ll find out later. Why don’t you take a rest? It’s going to be a long flight back home, dear.”
“Home? Tomorrow?” She tried to catch her breath, but she was panicking. “Hey dude, that’s fast!”
He just laughed again. “Don’t worry. I have arranged it all for us.”
“But I-”
He hugged her tightly. “Trust me, Myra.”
“Okay,” she gave in. “I trust you.”
“So, it’s back to bed, I hope?” He pulled the covers over her naked body. She smiled meekly.
“I’m just thinking, what will life in City V be like with you?”
He stroked her soft hair, bringing it to her right. “I promise I will make it awesome, Myra. You will have no reason to not feel happy with me. I will make you feel like a queen, and I mean it. That person called Jake, he will not be a part of your life ever again.”
His words sounded so sentimental. Myra closed her eyes and allowed a tear to roll down her cheek. A few more tears of joy followed. She didn’t know what she had done to deserve such a man as Hart. If only Jake and she hadn’t happened.
Then maybe, if she had met Hart first, their first time would have been magnificent. He kissed her again, to stop her from crying further.
She climbed on top of him and straddled him, returning his kisses wildly. It was just the beginning. There would be more to come on their little love journey.
But first, starting with her father, it worried her about how he would react to her relationship with an illegitimate son of a magnate. If Hart wanted to move on in City V with her, that meant he would start from scratch. As an Asian foreigner in City V, hopefully he would gain some Asian friends who wouldn’t discriminate against him for his nationality. And then, there was the age gap. It just didn’t sound conducive, considering how many others would judge them.
Aside from the relationship, she also had to focus on university. Being a second-year university student that had difficulty coping with lectures made it a lot harder. She would need to put a lot more effort into her studies to maintain her grades. She didn’t want her relationship to sound like the cause for her dipping grades.
“Myra, what are you thinking about?” Hart asked, watching her forlorn face.
“There’s a lot,” she mouthed, staring at him. “I haven’t told you much about my father, he’s so overbearing. I’m afraid he won’t accept you since you’re…”
“Much older and having no achievements in your city, thus doesn’t deserve his daughter?” Hart’s eyes twinkled with superior charm as he pronounced his sentence. “Trust me, babe, if it takes a lifetime to convince your father, I would. But now,” he glanced at her with a concerned look in his eyes, “I want you to take your rest. We just did it for two hours straight, not including our earlier sessions. You need your beauty sleep, and I don’t want to see a panda-eyed beauty tomorrow on the plane.”
“Aye, Aye, you win,” she grumbled, pouting her lips, but he just pulled her on top of him and wrapped his arm around her.
“Good night, Myra.”
It compelled her to reply. “Good night, Hart.”
“Go to sleep now, before I change my mind and punish you for your naughtiness.”
She pinched him playfully on his belly. “I would really like to see how you punish me, Hartie.”
“Don’t test my patience, babe. You know it.” His eyes twinkled again. She flushed red like a beetroot, understanding what he meant immediately.
Closing her eyes, this time, she grudgingly went straight to sleep. That monster in bed could be wild if he wished. She didn’t want it to exhaust her so extremely that she had to walk the next day. Even if it was a long flight home, walking through the gigantic airport all the way to their gate would take a considerable amount of energy and time.
It’ll all get better, Myra, she told herself as she succumbed to weariness, falling into a deep slumber.
