"I went to the grocery store" Sophia said after Killian asked her where she was.
"You should have sent one of the maids or better still tell me to order whatever you want to buy" Killian said.
"You know how much i like buying things myself. Is Summer still asleep?" Sophia asked.
"I guess. She hasn't come down" Killian said, he was watching a movie in the living room, he already dismissed his bodyguards.
"I should start preparing dinner" Sophia said, hurrying to the kitchen"
"Call one of the maids to help you"
"No, I'll be fine by myself" Sophia said.
"You're not allowing these maids do their work, they just clean the house and rest" Killian complained.
"But cleaning the house is part of working too. I've been cooking for years without anyone assisting me"
"But you allowed Disha assist you without hesitation. Is it that you don't like the maids or what?" Killian asked.
"Of course i like them, i don't just trust any of them. Remember Gloria was poisoned and we don't know the culprit till now" Sophia said sadly.
Killian sighed and dropped the remote control, wondering why she brought Gloria into this.
"Yet you trust Disha so much" Killian said.
"You trust her too Killian" Sophia said.
"Why do we trust her?" Killian asked rubbing the back of his neck.
"I don't know too, maybe it's because she obviously has a clean heart" Sophia said.
"Of course, she's worth the trust" Killian said, thinking of Disha yet again.
"I'll be in the kitchen Killian" Sophia said.
"Okay"
Killian rose to his feet and walked towards the stairs.
He's going to have a nice time in the garden.
Boredom is killing him already...
Normally he works on his computer,sleeps or take a walk when he's bored but he doesn't feel like doing any of those now.
He just want to be alone and think.
He doesn't even know what to think about but at least being in the garden would give him things to think about.
Looking at the trees and watching the butterflies fly are indeed beautiful.
"Beautiful!" Disha grinned as she walked into her mum's room.
She left Lucien in the kitchen to check on her and she was so glad she met her knitting Summer's sweater.
She had described Summer's size for her and her Mum had been so glad to start knitting it.
The knitting wool is purple and white.
Disha know Summer would love it.
Her favorite color is purple.
"C'mon, I'm not done with it yet" Mrs Smith said.
"I know but it's good looking already, it's gonna be great when you're finally done with it"
"Of course , i was born with this talent" Mrs Smith boasted and Disha laughed.
"You're the architect behind Lucien's habit of boasting" Disha said.
"Of course my son inherited that from me" Mrs Smith laughed.
"Okay, dinner will be ready soon. You need to put this down"
"But it's not ready yet" Mrs Smith shrugged.
"It will be ready soon"
" I'll put it down once it's ready" Mrs Smith said and Disha sighed.
She enjoys knitting alot.
"I knew you wouldn't succumb" Disha pressed her lips together...
"Then why did you suggest it to me" Mrs Smith asked.
"Mum, you can continue tomorrow, just take a rest before dinner" Disha said.
"I'll take all the rest i want after dinner but for now, i should focus on this. That family has been good to you as you said and i should make sure the little girl's sweater comes out nice. It's a way of appreciation" Mrs Smith said.
"Of course i know mum but you've been on this since.... afternoon, it's evening already" Disha said.
"Disha, go attend to dinner. You know Lucien would be on his phone and won't even know when the meal starts burning"
"Oh..my, that's true" Disha said, hurrying out of the room .
Mrs Smith smiled after her and continued knitting.

"Why are you eating so slowly? It's not like the food is not delicious" Lucien said, almost done with his own meal.
"That's true, Disha what's wrong?" Mrs Smith asked.
"Uh? Am i really eating slowly?" Disha asked.
"Of course sis" Lucien said.
"I will eat normally then" Disha said.
She's really missing Killian's building.
She missed Summer non stop talk during meal, the laughter they shared at the dining, the...
And she really missed how she secretly glance at Killian and sometimes catch him staring at her too.
Gosh.
"Is there another Chris in the picture?" Lucien asked, serving himself another round of meal.
" Uh?" Disha asked.
"You keep smiling to yourself and just now you blushed" Lucien said.
"Just shut up and eat" Disha said.
"If there's another Chris in the picture, i won't hesitate to punch him over and over again" Lucien stated.
"There's no other Chris in the picture okay?" Disha said.
"Ohh Kay" Lucien shrugged.
"And, i almost forgot. I hope those tiny teens of yours didn't step their feet into this house" Disha asked.
"Well... they didn't" Lucien lied.
"Like you would have told the truth" Disha cursed under her breath
"I'm telling the truth, you can ask Mum" Lucien pushed out his lips.
"Like you don't know she'll cover you up. You both are just....arrrgh!" Disha rolled her eyes.
"Does that mean I'm not allowed to date. I'm seventeen!" Lucien frowned.
"Ofcourse you're allowed to date but not allowed to have tons of girls and keep making them cry" Disha said.
"They keep coming to me and... i don't want to hurt their feelings by refusing them"
"Can't you just choose the one you really like and let the rest of them go!" Disha said.
"Well...i don't really like anyone of them for now"
"Yet you keep having sex with them! That's more like taking advantage of their feelings for you and Lucien, you've not arrived at your legal age yet. What you're doing is illegal!"
"I use protection" Lucien defended.
"Whatever!" Disha shrugged.
"I'll be sleeping in your room till you leave" Lucien said.
"Whatever!"
"Are you pissed at me?"
"Whatever!"
"Okay I'm sorry!"
"Whatever!"
"Disha!"
"Whatever!"
Mrs Smith watched their exchange, laughing.
NEXT DAY
Hello" Killian's baritone voice pierced into her ear and her heartbeat increased.
She had been so nervous when she saw his call and it had took seconds before she could answer it.
Is he calling cause he missed her already?
Her cheeks flushed at that thought and she couldn't help but grin.
H..hi" She said calmly.
How have you been?
Fine, thank you.
Well...Summer wants to speak to you" Killian said and she felt disappointed.
He hadn't called cause he missed her, he had,cause Summer wanted to speak to her.
What the hell is she thinking?
Why would he miss her?.
"You're just his daughter's nanny and nothing more!!" Her mind screamed at her.
Killian left Summer to speak with Disha while he walked to the window, peering out.
Her voice had lit his bored heart.
He hadn't only called her because Summer wanted to speak to her, he had wanted to hear her voice too.
He miss her presence in the library, dining room and all over the place.
Damn! She's only gone for two days,you don't even think of other nannies when they go for a week!
He sighed, watching how people moved about in the street.
Summer was still on the phone with Disha and she was sounding so excited.
She doesn't even sound this excited when she's speaking with her mother.
Talk of the devil!
He saw Diane's car parked right in front of the building.
What the hell does she want! It's not time to visit Summer yet but he was surprised and almost shocked to see Zack step out of the car and not only Zack...
Marie too,one of his maids.
"What the hell!" He cursed.
He left Summer to continue to converse with Disha over the phone while he left the room in a rush.
He got to the living room and Zack and Marie walked in at the same time.
"What was that?" Killian asked harshly and Zack was surprised.
Killian had never spoken to him in that manner.
"Wh..at Mr Killian?" Marie asked hoping the cat hadn't been let out of the bag.
They were just returning from Aiden's building after hatching a new plan.
Diane had promised her a lot if she could hurt Disha and she's more than pleased to do the job.
First, from the look of things Killian is starting to like Disha and she hated that.
She had loved Killian right from time but he had been so blind to see that.
She wanted him for herself and she had tried severally to make him see that but no! He doesn't always look her way.
And now she finally get to deal with the lady who has been getting his attention lately!
"Why the hell did Diane drop you!?" Killian seethe.
"What! He had seen that?" Zack panicked inwardly.
"H..how did you...see that Mr Killian?" Marie asked.
"I was standing by my window! Now, answer my question" Killian said.
"She gave me a lift" Zack said.
"Me too" Marie said.
"How? Like... what are you saying.? A lift? When did you both go out? How could you go out without informing me and even if you wanted to go out, why didn't you take one of the cars" Killian said.
"I.. I was bored, i only took a walk and i didn't even knew i had gone far until i heard the horn of a car. It was Diane and she offered to drop me at home since she was going through the same route. I refused of course but she insisted. On getting into the car, i saw Marie" Zack said, glad his lie had come out smoothly.
He hoped Killian believes him...
"Ohh...so Marie, what were you doing in Diane's car?" Killian asked.
She cleared her throat and sighed.
What is she gonna tell him?
What would she say she was doing in Diane's car?
She should have just declined the offer of Diane dropping them at home but they were pinpointing ways to execute their plans.
She was glad Killian hadn't seen Aiden who had been in the car too.
"Marie!" Killian half yelled.
"She offered me a ride too Mr Killian" Marie said.
"When did you left the house? You left without informing me?"
"I..i quickly went to say hi to my mum...and Diane offered to give me a lift" Marie lied.
"I'm not against you checking on your mother but you should inform me first and then why didn't you take one of the cars?" Killian asked.
"I.. didn't want to disturb you, all i planned was just to say hi and return. I'm sorry Mr Killian" Marie said, licking her lips in the process.
"I'm sorry Mr Killian" Zack said.
"It's fine" Killian said calmly.
"But you both should know Diane isn't welcomed here. Y'all know how she almost destroyed me. I want everyone working for me to stay away from her . She's dangerous and evil!" Killian said.
"Okay Mr Killian" Marie and Zack chorused, including the bodyguards in the living room.
"How come Diane gave the both of you a ride together, the same day! almost the same time!" Sophia said, walking out of the kitchen.
She had heard everything and she knew something was off but she doubted it cause she trusted Zack, he wouldn't lie. But Marie....the lady is hellish! She's one of the maids Sophia doesn't trust.
Sophia knows almost all the maids have feelings for Killian but she knew Marie's to be extreme.
She had once approached her to help convince Killian to date her!
"Sophia, they just explained to me" Killian said when he noticed the angry look on her face.
"I know! I heard it all" Sophia said .
"Diane giving us lift the same day...i guess it's coincidence" Marie said with a fake smile.
She hated Sophia with passion!
Always behaving like the lady of the house.
Killian listens to everything she says! And she had once told Sophia to help in making Killian notice her feelings for him but the deranged woman had refused.
"Coincidence? So be it then" Sophia shrugged.
"Dad I'm done speaking to Disha" Summer grinned as she walked down the stairs with Killian's phone in hand.
"What's going on?" She frowned, seeing the gathering.
"Nothing, princess. We're just having a discussion" Killian said bending to his daughter's height.
"Ohh...is that why you left the room in a rush?" Summer asked.
"Yes" Killian said.
"Aren't you done with the conversation already?" Summer asked.
"We are" Killian said.
"Dismiss them" she whispered into her dad's ear and he laughed.
"You all can leave" Killian ordered and they all obeyed, excluding Sophia though.
"His face sucks!" Summer rolled her eyes.
"Who?" Killian and Sophia asked at the same time.
"Zack" Summer said and Killian sighed.
"Zack is a good guy Summer" Sophia said.
"Whatever, have your phone dad" She said and Killian gently took his phone from her.
"Disha said her Mum made the sweater for me already" Summer said excitedly.
"Really?" Killian asked.
"So fast" Sophia said.
"Yeah yeah, i can't wait to put it on" Summer grinned.
"I miss her already" She added.
"She'll be coming tomorrow morning" Sophia said, she so much missed Disha in the kitchen.
Though, she had been alone in the kitchen for years without feeling lonely but just few days Disha left,she was starting to miss her presence.
"What's for lunch?" Killian asked.
"Fried noodles, steamed dumplings,Millet gruel and red bean cake" Sophia said.
"Ohh okay" Killian said.
"Dad, please tell someone to bring some ice cream to my room, my favorite animation is starting soon" Summer said.
"Okay" Harold said.

"Good morning Mr..Killian" Disha smiled delightedly.
She was so happy to have resumed and she was more happy to see the face she missed most.
She was just walking into the living room and she had seen Killian ready to leave for work .
"Mr?" Killian raised a brow.
"Ohh..good morning Killian" Disha said and the workers around glanced up in surprise.
"Good. How're you Disha?" Killian asked, trying not to show his excitement.
He's so glad to see her again and damn! She looks more beautiful.
She's putting on an aqua silk top and black tight fitting jeans, and her hair is packed in a ponytail with tendrils framing her smooth face.
No make up! Yet She looked stunning, that made his heart yearn for her more.
"How's Lucien?" Killian asked and Disha was surprised he remembered her brother's name.
"He's fine" She said.
"Your mum too?" He asked.
"She's fine too and they both sent their greetings"
"Ohh..okay" Killian said.
"Summer is in her room" He added.
"Okay, i will go see her now" Disha smiled.
"Bye" Killian said.
"Bye and have a nice day" Disha said.
Killian walked out of the door smiling with two bodyguards behind him.
He know he's gonna have a good day.

Disha exchanged greetings with Sophia in the kitchen and they chatted for some minutes before she finally left for Summer's room.
She dropped her bag in her room and then walked in through the adjoining door.
"Summer, I'm here!" She called happily.
Summer,who just finished bathing ran into her arms in excitement.
Disha sat with Sophia in the kitchen, she had just returned from dropping Summer in school and was having her breakfast, chatting with Sophia at the same time.
"How's your brother and mum?" Sophia asked.
"They are both fine, they sent their greetings to everyone" Disha said.
"I guess Summer got her sweater already" Sophia said.
"Yes, i showed it to her already and she was so excited. She's gonna put it on when she's back from school " Disha smiled.
"She talked about the sweater nonstop" Sophia said.
"Really?" Disha laughed.
"Yes"
"And do you know what made her love it more?" Disha asked.
"What?" Sophia asked.
"The color. It's her favorite color" Disha said.
"Wow! She'd be completely in love with it" Sophia chuckled.
"Yeah, she wo.." Disha was saying but got interrupted by a maid who walked in.
"Hi" Disha said.
The maid nodded in response and Disha wondered what's with the attitude.
