May cause them

"I'm so happy you could make it to my place. It's the first time I've had a friend over."

It was Saturday once more and they had just gone shopping for some particular things to make them look good tonight.

"I'm glad too Fiona,"

"So let's start with the make up."

"I thought you said we were looking forward to a great artist a while ago." Thea said and Fiona demonstrated dramatically.

"Wala...here she is, your one and only true makeup artist, Fiona Weston" Thea burst out laughing. "What's funny?" Fiona put her hands in her waist acting sassy.

"You? A makeup artist? A professional one at that? I don't believe you."

"Trust me, I am able to make someone ugly turn into a princess." Fiona retorted.

"You do know that you can be ugly and still be a princess, don't you?" Thea asked chuckling.

"Oh I do, I've seen lots of them." The both laughed. "Well sit, we can't be late."

"Okay, okay." Thea said taking her seat in front of Fiona's vanity mirror.

---

"Here let me help you," Claire said reaching for his button and fastening them one after the other.

"This looks good on you," she told him.

"That's why I wore it. It's been a long time."

"Of course, but you have better ones. Why did you chose to wear it today of all days?"

"What do you mean?" His voice made her paused for a moment before she continued, finishing up.

"I just meant to say that since you bought that tuxedo because your wedding day that....didn't actually hold. Won't it bring back memories?" She said to him.

"I bought many. Does that mean I won't wear them too?" He walked away from her. "Come on your own please. I have somewhere to be before I actually reach the venue."

"And where do you have to be? You have an important occasion an hour from now."

"I'll be fine, I just need to clear up some things before I come there. Take care." He said before walking out of the room.

---

"Just look at yourself, you look beautiful on make up. With or without make up by the way....but I'm envious of you. Oh goodness, I told you my hand work will do."

Thea still stared at herself in awe. She looked gorgeous. She felt her face slightly with her fingers tips just to confirm that it was in fact, her.

"I look..... beautiful." She turned to Fiona with a beautiful smile on her face. "I look..."

"Yes, you always looked gorgeous baby girl now get up let me make myself shine as usual."

Thea actually got up and walked to where she laid her dress. She didn't know if she was sane but she wanted to impress Ash. Would he see her as beautiful? Would she walk besides him all night and Maybe later, they would sneak off and do some things upstairs?

Some things that are better demonstrated than said.

She picked up the dress and admired it for the nth time.

"Are you going keep staring at it? The dress isn't going to wear itself Thea," they both chuckled at Fiona's statement.

---

"Have a nice day," they both waved the taxi driver before he zoomed off.

"My gosh, I'm nervous."

"Me too," Thea said. "Let's just go in, we are probably late." Just as they strode inside, Ashton's car packed in front of the hotel and he came out with Samuel by his side.

"If we weren't able to find the bracelet there, it should still be with the person responsible. I think the person may be here for my ceremony Samuel so, watch everyone carefully and keep your eyes open for anything at all, just incase."

"Yes sir," Samuel said as they entered the hall.

---

Thea looked everywhere for him but she wasn't seeing him. A Waiter stopped in front of her further into the room preventing her from seeing the couple in front of her.

"Care for a drink?"

She turned her attention away and focused them on the waiter in front of her.

"Sure," taking a drink away from the tray, her eyes began wandering around again then the landed on him.

Ashton chatted away with a few business men a bit further away from her. He looked very masculine and handsome too. She didn't fail to notice how the material clinged to his muscles perfectly.

That tuxedo had the same fitting as it was then, only a slight difference where his muscles where. He shook hands with the man he was currently talking to in dismissal then it went back to where it formally was, behind the waist of a lady.

She couldn't take her eyes off the hand and for a moment, her grip on the glass tightened.

It was as if he felt her stare and so, his eyes skimmed round the crowd until they landed on hers. He froze and so also the lady that his hands were around. She turned to look at Ashton curiously. Following his eyes, they landed on the Thea.

For a minute there, she frowned when she too locked eyes with Thea. Thea's attention darted from the both of them to the hand that still lingered on Claire's waist. She swallowed painfully as she watched Claire stake her claim by kissing him very close to the lips and he let her.

He let her!

Fiona came to stand besides her. Having being the only one watching this exchange in understanding, told her, "look away." And Thea did so.

"Care for a drink?" Fiona took the glass from her still and Thea walked out of the hall with the little courage she had left.

Ashton made a move to go after her but Claire stopped him immediately by a grip on the hand.

"Ashton my boy how are you?" His mother said. Ashton turned to see his mother and father approach him. He mustered a smile. For a moment there, his eyes darted to the door where his beloved just walked through.

Thea wiped the tears that managed to spill immediately. Everything was like a dream ever since and now she had woken up to reality. How could she have forgotten that he was still engaged to Claire and she, was the other woman now.

All these thoughts made her a little absentminded for a while and she suddenly bumped into someone who was able to hold her from not falling.

"I'm sorry,"

"It's okay," he said.

"Mr. Lockhart? Oh my goodness, forgive me, I wasn't looking."

"I said it's okay," he said to her softly. She stared at the hands that still held her shoulders firmly. He released her immediately.

"Is that from shoppers club?"

"Hmm?" Jace asked confused.

"The bracelet, is it from 'the shoppers club?'"

"Oh I really don't know, someone gave it to me, why?"

"It's a nice bracelet, that's why. I'll just be on my way. Sorry again."

"And again, it's fine." He told her and she walked away.

---

Arranging herself once more she shut the door of the restroom and walked out. She could hear a speech going on downstairs and so, she thought she would do a little exploring for a bit, take her time up here before going down to the hall again.

The night was already ruined for her and she couldn't wait to go home already.

Walking distractedly passed a slightly opened door, she heard moans.

Interesting ones at that,

Those weird noises made her halt on her steps and walk backwards a little bit.

Talking of invasion of privacy,

She couldn't resist the pull to pip through the free space where the door refused to shut well.

The blonde hair man kissed the lady he covered impatiently. The only thing Thea saw was the show of manicured hands as it caressed the man's back and a flash of red dress.

She vividly remembered turning again to witness Jace walk away from her after she accidentally bumped into him. She was staring at the same back now. Sensing as if someone was by the door, Jace stopped.

Thea noticed this immediately and looked away seconds before he was able to turn.

"Why did you stop?" The feminine voice asked and that was Thea's cue to leave. Before Have could reach for the door she had slipped into a corner unnoticed.

"I thought someone was by the door." He said after he properly shut it close.

"Leave it and kiss me, I missed you." She said to him and he did just that.
