The Dragon Fury

Anita landed a decisive kick, sending the keeper crashing to the ground.

As they caught their breath, the forest around them erupted into chaos.

Five more keepers emerged from the shadows, their eyes blazing with an otherworldly energy.

"We have to move, now!" Jacob shouted.

The group sprinted towards the distant peak, but the keepers didn't back down, they kept pursuing them. Anita knew their run was futile if they didn't get the keepers off their backs.

“Oh, Dragon goddess, I know I don't believe in you, but if I am really your daughter, I call on you to show me your way and give me the rage of a dragon fighter,” Anita cried out under her breath, her heart was pure, and she made the request not for her own selfish interests, but to save her friends. She stopped running and faced the keepers who had nearly caught up to them.

“What is she doing?" Amira asked curiously when she turned her back.

"That girl is definitely stupid! She is ready to die!" March blurted out with unbelief and continued running. Jacob slowed down to look at Anita, and what she had in mind.

Anita raised her hands and closed her eyes as if calling on the goddess, but nothing happened. She felt disappointed and dropped her hands, but at that moment, her eyes turned yellow and her hair became gray.

Anita's transformation stunned the group. Her yellow eyes gleamed like gold in the moonlight, and her gray hair flowed like silk.

"What is happening to her?" Marcus asked, awestruck. And no one could answer because they were all shocked. They had called her the Dragon's Daughter, but none of them had believed she was the one.

"I am the Dragon's Daughter. I will protect my people," Anita's voice was low and husky, unlike her own.

Her body began to shift, her muscles bulging beneath her skin. Scales shimmered across her arms, and her fingers transformed into sharp claws.

The keepers halted, fearful of the dragon fighter before them.

"You shouldn't have awakened one of the dragon's blood," Anita growled her voice now a fierce roar.

With a sweep of her arm, she summoned a wave of flame, engulfing the keepers. The group watched in awe as Anita, now a powerful dragon fighter, charged into battle. She successfully took out all the keepers present, and after that, she transformed back to her normal self and nearly collapsed on the floor, but luckily Jacob caught her just in time.

“What the hell just happened?” Rose asked, her face pale and covered in shock. The rest of the group looked at the exhausted Anita, their mouths widened and they looked dumbfounded.

…….
“What in the world is that?” Tippy murmured as he looked up in the sky. The dark sky was covered with a thick fog, thunder and lightning echoed, and blood was dropping out of the sky.

“My Lord, it's raining blood,” Remy, the keeper accompanying Tippy said in a whisper, the look on his face was that of horror and his skin looked pale.

“I can see that, I am not blind!” Tippy snapped at the man angrily. “Something has awakened,” he continued with a grimace.

“No, not something but someone,” Lilith's eyes shone with malevolent intent, and an evil smirk settled on her lips, “the Demon Lord's plan is going according to the script.”
…….

“Anita, can you hear me? Please say something even if it's rubbish, I want to hear your voice to make sure you are all right,” Jacob cried out as his hands gently caressed Anita's cheeks.

They had arrived at Elijah's forest, but Anita had not said anything, and her eyes were shut tightly. They were worried and different scary thoughts passed through their minds.

Arianna, Amira, Jay, Bobby, and Rose looked at one another, wondering how to comfort Jacob.

“She is still breathing, so why the hell is he acting like her lover? Argh, this is so clingy, the Dragon Goddess's daughter doesn't need a man to act like he is her savior, she is a strong woman who can take care of herself!” Marcus said, looking at Jacob with disgust.

Jacob turned to face Marcus, he looked angry as though he wanted to scold him, but Anita held him back.

“Mind the way you talk, bro. Those two are a perfect match made in heaven,” Jay whispered into Marcus's ears, surprising him.

“I am fine, just tired,” Anita mumbled weakly, her eyes gently fluttering open, it had gone back to the original color and her hair was no longer gray.

“Anita!” Arianna cried out and quickly sat down by her side, they both stared at each other, their eyes filled with emotions. “I am so happy to see you alive and well,” she confessed and hugged her.

“The feeling is neutral, Ari,” Anita replied with a gentle smile on her face.

“Thank you so much for saving us. Indeed the goddess's power is pure,” Rose said and took a seat beside Arianna. Anita offered her a smile, and gently looked at each of them, offering them a smile.

“How in the world did you do that?! And if truly you're the goddess's daughter why haven't you returned all these years? Do you know how long we've waited for you? We lost some valuables simply because you delayed your arrival!” Marcus yelled at Anita.

“With all due respect, I don't think that's any of her business. You were living your life the same way she was, she didn't even know that she was the dragon's daughter, so stop blaming her for your loss, because it is not her fault,” Amira replied to Marcus, she had hated him right from the moment he told her to go to hell.

Marcus was offended by Amira's reply and he growled at her. “So easy for you to say, you have never lost anything or anyone. Your life has always been easy and rosy! I pray you pass through what I have,” he cursed, and Amira smiled sadly.

Rose was angry at Marcus, and she wished Amira had replied to him. “You asshole! How dare….”

“That's enough guys, no need to fight. We are all tired, let's rest here, at dawn tomorrow we'll visit Elijah,” Bobby informed with a hoarse voice, stopping the disagreement that was about to start.

“I don't think that's a great idea, we are almost at the monastery, if we continue now, we will surely get there tomorrow morning. But if we remain here the keepers might gather and attack us,” Jay suggested, indifferently to Bobby's idea.
