Chapter Twelve ~ Completely Naked

Liviana's point of view

I felt so embarrassed. I had literally just screamed at my husband, then curled up in a ball and cried my eyes out like a little child. Not to mention I had a room full of warriors that were witness to it, and my parents. How could I not have known that this was a normal part of virgin sex? My mother apologised wholeheartedly, but she wasn't entirely to blame. I had many opportunities to learn about the workings of a woman and her body. We had elder ladies set up lessons to teach young girls about it all, but I always refused to go, and went out hunting with the men instead.

It was because I'd never thought of a man in that way, or believed that I'd settle down, that I was in this mess. Covered in blood, humiliated, and I'd even scared off my husband on my wedding night. I sprawled out on the bed, counting the iron nails in the wooden roof above me, while my mother heated up pot after pot and began filling the tub. Regardless of my hatred of baths, tonight, I wanted one more than ever. I was hoping the water would wash off all the horrid things from the night, as well as the blood. When the bath was ready I got undressed and sank down into the water, letting it wash over my body and engulf me.

The water had never felt so good. My mother left for a while and returned with two bowls of food. She placed them onto the dining table, then busied herself by getting me a nightgown. I got out of the bath and dried myself, before heading over to her as she held up the gown for me. I let the luxurious fabric slide down my body then turned to face her. She embraced me before leading me over to the bed. She sat behind me and brushed my hair for me, like she'd done many nights before. I was going to miss being her little girl. I was now a woman. A wife, and hopefully, soon to mother.

"I'm so sorry I didn't warn you Livi. I hope you can forgive me."

"It's not your fault mother. I had every opportunity to learn it from the elders, but I was too focused on showing everyone what a strong and powerful leader I could be. I was sure that I'd never find a man that would complete me. So, I was going to ask father if I could take over instead."

My mother ceased brushing my hair and tugged on my shoulder for me to turn around. I manoeuvred my body on the bed, so that I could face her.

"Are you serious? You really thought that you'd never find love?" She asked with sadness in her voice.

"Well, yeah. No one had ever come close. I was just never interested in anyone like that. Then Marik arrived, and I'd never felt anything like it. He well and truly swept me off my feet, and changed everything."

She held her hands up to her chest and smiled at me. I could see that she thought my words were sweet, but they were the truth. I didn't plan on meeting someone like him. He turned my world upside down, and made me rethink my entire future. I wasn't expecting it, and I wasn't ready for it. I thought that I knew what I wanted. Thought I knew who I was, and what my heart and mind held, but once he fell into my life, none of that mattered anymore. All that mattered was being with him, every second of every day. I didn't want to be apart from him, ever. Even though he'd only be gone for an hour or two, my heart ached for him.

I sighed heavily, then peered out of the doorway.

"He will be back soon Livi. He's discussing tribe business with your father. Once he's finished, he will be back, and you can try again," she said while getting off of the bed and heading towards the dining table.

My head shot around to look at her, and I nearly fell right off the bed.

"Try again, are you crazy? I've only just washed off all that blood, I don't want to be bleeding again."

My mother chuckled as she sat at the table and picked up her spoon.

"That only happens once, dear. You are no longer a virgin, it won't happen again, I promise."

I sighed with relief, the thought of going through all that again, made my stomach turn. I stood up and made my way to the table. I sat down and joined my mother for a lovely meal, while I waited for my love to return.

Marik's point of view

After handing me some new pants, Marcel explained to me, that if a chief's firstborn child is a female, their husband is the one to take over their tribe. I tried to explain that Liviana would be a very capable leader, and that she suited the role much more than I did. But he just kept telling me about tradition, and that if I turned the position down, I'd have no choice but to leave the tribe, and Liviana. That wasn't an option, but before I agreed, I still needed to discuss it all with Livi first. I told him as much, and made my excuses before I left. I couldn't see how Livi would be okay with that plan, or that she'd agreed with it. I needed to ask her myself.

I knew how headstrong and courageous she was. She would be a perfect chief for their tribe, how could she be okay with this? I picked up my pace and headed into our hut. Ana was clearing away dishes while Livi was putting the finishing touches to fresh bedding. Ana smiled at me and then walked over to her daughter. She kissed her cheek, before kissing mine on her way out. Livi's cheeks flushed pink, and she looked adorable in her embarrassment. I strolled up to her and held her face in my hands, before placing a delicate kiss onto her lips. I then bent down and swept her into my arms and carried her onto the bed.

I sat her down on the bed, positioning myself in front of her.

"Livi, did you know that I would become chief after our wedding?"

I came right out with it, after the day and night we'd had, I didn't see the point in beating around the bush. She nodded slightly, and I was taken back. I truly didn't believe that she would have been okay with a man taking over a position that should rightfully be hers.

"And you're okay with it?"

"I know that might be hard to believe. But I've never met anyone like you, Marik. I love you beyond belief, and I trust you with not only my life, but the lives of my tribe, and family." She shuffled down the bed and straddled my lap. She continued while holding my face in her hands, "I never thought about settling down, being a housewife, or bringing up children. Then you came along. You've turned my world upside down, and changed every plan and thought that I had."

"But I don't want you to change, or to sacrifice what future you had planned. Especially not for me."

"Don't you understand, Marik? You are my past, present, and future. You are my everything. I would sacrifice all that I have, for you. My future wouldn't be worth heading towards, if you weren't in it.'

Her eyes filled with tears as they searched mine. Her words were full of emotion and pure devotion, and I couldn't believe how much love I felt beaming off of her in that moment. She was all I'd ever dreamed of. A beautiful, kind, and strong woman, who loved me more than anything else in the world. I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with her. Couldn't wait to make her the mother of my children. They would be the luckiest children in the world to have her as their mother, and I was already the luckiest man alive. With her by my side, I could achieve anything.

I swept a piece of her hair behind her ear and cupped her cheek, before pressing my lips onto hers. She leaned back allowing me to lay her back onto the bed. I'd never wanted her more than I did right now, and I was going to make sure that she enjoyed every single moment of it. This was about showing her what an amazing goddess she truly was, and letting her see, just how much I loved her. I ripped her nightgown off, tearing it into pieces. She giggled as I yanked the tattered fabric out from beneath her and threw it across the room.

"I'm going to have no clothes left at this rate," she said with another giggle.

"I would be perfectly okay with you walking around here completely naked," I replied with a raised eyebrow.

She quickly slipped off of the bed and began strutting around the room showing off every glorious curve she had to offer. I laid on my side and propped my head up on my hand so that I could enjoy the show. When she twirled around, I couldn't help the purr that escaped me. I quickly bit my lip to stop the purr from getting any louder. The last thing we needed right now was for another bunch of warriors bursting into the hut. To my surprise, once she'd finished her twirl she didn't come towards me. Instead, she headed towards the doorway. I sat up instantly and asked her,
"And where do you think you're going?"

She turned her head to look at me and with a giant smirk on her face, replied,
"Well, if you want me walking around completely naked from now on, I thought it best to let the tribe get used to it. Don't you agree?"

With that said, she turned towards the doorway again and quickened her pace. I sprung off of the bed and sprinted towards her, placing myself between her and the exit. I put my hands on her arms and replied,
"No I don't agree, Livi. That's a ridiculous idea. You step one foot outside this hut, and you'll be ravished in minutes. No man could resist those curves of yours."

I turned her around, then picked her up to carry her over to the bed. Once there, I threw her on top of it, and watched her ass cheeks wobble as she bounced on the bed. My cock began to throb and twitch as she propped herself up on her elbows and looked back at me with a brow raised.

"Is that so? I seem to remember this one particular guy who had no trouble resisting these curves for nearly two whole year's."
