Chapter 18

Blane Samuel
Landing my eyes on Camilla again was pretty much a dream that I never thought would come true. Reaching her was difficult because she cut everything off that related to me.
She blocked my number, Brooklyn's number, and even Jess's number. She basically cut everything. When we broke up.. I mean the fake relationship. It was odd for me to think about her.
After that trip, I kept remembering the times that we spent together. I hate to say this but I miss her. Her bright and cheeky personality. I just miss her.
I buried myself at work to forget everything that happened and all the situations around me. But when I have no work.. I never thought about Lauren anymore. It was Camilla, Camilla and Camilla.
Time passes so quickly when I buried myself at work. I went all around the world to make deals here and there with my twin. I basically forgot about Camilla temporarily because when I think about her.. All I wanted was to go to New York and find her.
My eyes landed on her when I entered the venue. And again.. she wore a red dress looking so beautiful. She's currently talking to Kimberly when suddenly she took her hand dragging her to find someone. I followed her and made a big distance but since the crowd was packed. I closed the distance between us fast
She tripped and I quickly caught her with my reflection.
"Than-"
"Isn't it weird that I always save you from something at some point?" I said and I felt her body tense. She pushed away my hands from her waist. She tried to walk away but not this time. I caught her again
"You're not running away from me again, we need to talk" I whispered to her ear and held her hand. It felt so good to hold her hand again after a long time not holding it
I pulled her out from the crowd and brought her to the side. I looked at her but she wasn't looking at me. She looked away and I knew something wrong with this girl towards me.
I mean I know that something was off but seeing her again face to face made me realized it more
"So Camilla Medilton, how are you?" I asked and she kept looking at another place and tried to slip her hand of my grip
"Camilla" I called and she turned to me
"What?"
"You're avoiding me" I stated
"I'm not" She said
"Then explain why you blocked my number and even ran away yesterday?" I asked and she opened her mouth to explain but she closed it without letting out a word
"Camilla." I called her again.
"Can you leave me alone? I need to find my dad"
"Then let's find your dad together." I said and she held me
"Alone."
"Well I'm not going to let this go until you talk to me." I pointed at our hands and she sighed.
"It's called privacy."
"Privacy? It's not about Caleb or Lauren in case you forget. It's about us." I said and she shot a glare at me.
"Us? We're friends."
"Oh really? Then why are you acting like an enemy?" I asked.
"I'm not." She said and I pulled her to find her dad like she wanted.
"Blane!" She called me and it felt so good to hear my name came out from her mouth
"Blane!" She hissed and I found her dad. He looked at us weirdly since we both came to him together
"Hello, Mr. Medilton."
"Why so formal Blane? Call me Dave remember?" Her dad said and he looked at us in a really weird expression.
"Where's Kimberly?" Camilla asked.
"Somewhere around here."
"Dave, I want to ask you for permission to take Camilla out." I stated and I turned to see Camilla shaking her head.
"I thought you both broke up?"
"There's a lot of things that we haven't solve" I said seriously and he landed his eyes on Camilla
"Fine let's talk, damn it!" Camilla bursted out and she pulled me away from her dad. She dragged me out from the venue
"What?" She crossed her arms in front her chest looking at me
"Why are you acting like this? I thought we ended in a nice way" I asked and her expression softens
"Then what do you want to talk about now? There's nothing to talk about" She said and she was right
"We ended in a nice way, so that's why we don't need to see each other again" She added and that gave me a bitter feeling
Suddenly I felt my tongue tied, I can't let out a word to her. I was speechless, I didn't even know why I wanted to talk to her and have this conversation. She was right at some point that there's nothing to talk about
"Look Blane, it's almost 2 years. Everything is too late to talk about, I don't think it's necessary for u-"
"I miss you" I cut her and she looked at me disbelief
"I miss you, that's the only thing that I want to say. I know it's almost 2 years but everytime I close my eyes at night. You kept appearing in my head. It bothers me" I said honestly and she looked at me speechless
"It's temporary" She stated in a small tone and looked away
"I buried myself into my work and hoped that it was temporary but it's not. It's almost 2 years, Camilla" I said looking at her seriously
"It was my fault that I didn't look for you soon. It's because I was afraid that it will only be a temporary and I was caught up with my pile of work" I added and she took a deep breath
"But I don't," She said and that hit me. It felt like a knife just stabbed me.
"All of this was because we created memories together and had fun for a moment. We were caught by the beautiful memories. It's temporary"
"It's not a temporary feeling for me"
"Sorry, I can-"
"Then if you don't feel the way that I do, at least tell me why you're acting like this. Something was off about you Camilla.. Explain it to my face then I'll walk away from you" I said even though the last line will never happen
"Nothing's wrong"
"If you don't tell me, I'm going to bother you until I get my answer" I said seriously and she looked at me disbelief
"There's nothing wrong"
"Then why did you block my numbers and shut everything off if there's nothing wrong? We ended and agreed to be friends not an enemy."
"Why do you call me? There's nothing between us that we need to talk or t-"
"Because I miss you, I need to hear your voice at least once in a while" I cut her
"You know Blane, I don't want to fight. I'm tired so can we just please let this go?" She asked and I shook my head. I leaned my head closer to her and her eyes widen
"Nervous?" I asked smirking when I found her face went red
"Nervous my ass" She scoffed
"Then why is your eyes twitching and your face go red?" I asked and she took a step backward glaring at me
"I think you have a problem with your eyes" I chuckled as her comeback
"Gosh.. I can't express how much I fucking miss you" I said because seeing her in front of me already tested my inner beast. It was sleeping all the time and it came out suddenly
"So tell me Camilla, what made you turn this ice cold?" I asked
"Nothing"
"Aren't you at least need to thank me because I went to Caleb's house and punched him in the face for di-"
"What?" She cut me and looked at me in horror
"I went to-"
"You idiot! Why did you do that?" She bursted
"You still like him?" I asked since her reaction was like that
"Argh you're annoying" She pushed me aside and walked away. I picked her up on my shoulder and walked to the lift with her smacking my back and kept protesting
"Gosh Camilla! Stop punching me" I hissed
"Let me down Blane!" She smacked harder but I needed to hold it. I got into the lift and pressed 15
"Blane you idiot!!! I'm wearing a dress!!!"
"That's the best part babe, I get to see the best view"
"Blane!! Put me down!!"
"Nope." Got out on the 15th floor and I took out my hotel card. I got inside and threw her to the bed
"You're damn rude" She hissed but I trapped her by holding both of her wrist making her lay on the bed
"Blane!!" She protested and tried to wiggle out. I looked at her blue eyes and I felt so relieved and so happy seeing her again. It's almost 2 years and the feeling of missing her piled up
"Do you know that I want to kiss you so bad right now?"
"Get off me!"
"Let's date Camilla" Her eyes widened with my statement. She stopped wiggling out. She looked at me weirdly and she held my face turning it to see my birthmark
"Get off me" She pushed me and I caught her again. I made her to look at me in the eyes
"Let's start a real relationship Camilla."
"You love Lauren, are you expecting me to believe that?"
"Lauren? I'm over her"
"You slept with me but you kept calling her in your sleep. What do you want me to do? Keep in touch with you? Keep meeting you like nothing happened?" My eyes widen when she said that
"You were drunk and maybe you thought you were sleeping with Lauren instead of me" She said coldly and that hit me, what?
"I never went for her again." I said.
"That's what you think Blane, you still love her. You said you won't let her go and will always love her. Now, you wanted to have a real relationship with me when you said that to my face after we slept together?"
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"What's the point? It's better for me to draw a line, to build a wall and keep you away from me because I was going to ask you to open a new chapter with me but hearing you say that made me throw away all of it!" She bursted angrily and then she walked out of my hotel room.
I was speechless..
