Chapter 16

STEVENSON
I am here in the office and alone. I spent my time reviewing the files. Earlier I was very annoyed because I couldn't understand Andrea why she didn't want to agree to take me, even though Draeden was with her. I was even more annoyed when the asshole sent me a picture of them bathing in the sea. I feel jelous and mad to him. Earlier I wanted to follow them, but I'm really embarrassed, because she wasn't invited me, I'm really pissed off!
It's about afternoon and I don't feel like eating outside so I just ask my secretary to delivered to my food first. As I was waiting for my lunch, I received a call, which made me smile profusely. I didn't even finish the files I was reviewing and I just told Melody that when someone called me to say I was in a meeting.
I was excited to go home and pack the stuff I would need for a few days.
I went down to the ground floor and straight to the parking lot. I immediately got in the car and drove fast. Unbeknownst to me I was right across from my condo unit, I got out of the car and took the elevator. When I got out of here I went straight to my unit and took some of my belongings, I was only in Palawan for about three days so maybe they can be used. I also got out right away and walked away dragging my luggage. I took the elevator down to the parking lot area. I didn't call Draeden so that he would be surprised when we met there.
I was already on the flight and it was about three hours before I arrived in Palawan. While driving, I suddenly smiled. For a few days now, I've been thinking about how I can follow them without being embarrassed. Answered prayer when Mr. called earlier. Chua said that he wants to invest in my hotel and in Palawan he wants us to meet because he is there now. You saw the opportunity, so I did not miss the opportunity and I grabbed it immediately.
At least, even if they see me, Andrea won't think that I followed them, I kind of feel because after I confess her, she's avoiding me. The weird thing is that I can't explain why she treats me like that, it's like she suddenly became cold.
While I was on the flight, I sang songs and accompanied my favorite music. Unbeknownst to everyone I am good at singing but I just keep it to myself. That I would enjoy my trip so I didn't realize that I was close to Palawan. I texted Mr. Cheng's secretary, to let her know that I am close to the meet up place.
I got out of the car and was greeted by the staff of my resort, Mr. Cheng.
Meanwhile, Axel and the three of them are currently building a sand castle. They were having fun when suddenly something hit its eyes.
"Sir pogi," out if nowhere the boy said suddenly.
Andrea was a little surprised and wondered why Axel said that. She looked in the direction the boy was looking but she saw no one. So she just quoted that maybe his son was just distracted so that’s what he sees. And it just forgot in my mind what Axel said.
While the mother and daughter are busy building the sand castle, Draeden and Tanya are constantly being beaten and chasing the sunshine.
My best friend's map is really thrilling.
"You're just jealous," his mind started to screamed.
She said goodbye to Axel first because it would be a comfort room first. She walked to the comfort room of the resort. In its haste she did not notice the encounter and collision.
“So-- it didn’t finish what it was to say, because she was surprised who she bumped into.
"Sir Stevenson?" It's a startling question coming in her mouth. She didn't expected that she saw here.
"Yes, I am. I have a meeting here. I didn't know you were here either," I answered her question. She thought I was following her neither.
"I see. All right sir, I'll go first," she said goodbye.
"Ok," I replied. I turned my back on it and walked out of the resort. I looked for Axel and saw him at the far end towards the sea. I almost ran to where it was because it was already submerged in the water and dire just walking straight. Axel was getting farther and farther away until the water was up to his head so I ran even faster.
"Axel," I shouted as I could no longer see him on the water
Tanya and Draeden were startled by his shout. Surprisingly they no longer pay attention to why it is here their attention is on what it is shouting.
"Axel, where are you?" I shouted. At the same time, plunge into the water and dive into it. I could see Axel barely moving. I immediately picked him up and carried him to the shore of the sea for mouth to mouth resuscitation.
I felt a mixture of nervousness and fear at that moment. After a few minutes I repeated being revived here it suddenly spat out the sea water I had drunk. That's the scene Andrea reaches.
"What happened?" she asked and wondered why so many people were surrounding her son and Tanya was crying.
"She almost drowned," she replied.
"What? How? Tanya what does that mean?" she cried and gradually burst into tears because of the rush of her emotions.
"Beshy sorry, I didn't know Axel was going far," she said while tears kept falling in her eyes.
"I'm sorry? What if something bad happens, will that save my son's life," she cried.
She hugged Axel and was purely sorry. It was also her fault that she would not have trusted to leave her son to others, this would not have happened. The medic also came and made the child sit in the wheelchair, Stevenson and Tanya were just next to her and Tanya was left behind because she was still ignorant of what had happened.
Inside the hospital, Axel was immediately given serum. I can see how Andrea worries about her child.
"T-thank you for saving my son, Sir Stevenson," she said.
I didn't answer what she said, but I suddenly hugged her I felt that she was not alone at that moment. I waited for her to let go of my hug, but it tightened even more on my chest so I wrapped her even more in my arms.
When the doctor's check-up on Axel was over, she told me that we could go inside. I whispered to Andrea so she let go of the hug. It was a bit embarrassing so I bowed. It went straight inside and approached Axel. I gave them time with them. First I just stayed outside. Later, Andrea came out because Axel was looking for me, so I went in as well.
"Daddy," Axel called when he saw me. I approached him and hugged him tightly.
"How are you?" I ask him.
"I'm ok now dad, thank you for saving my life," he said.
"No problem, get well because we're going to build more sand castles," I said and ruffled his hair. I just let him do what he wanted to call me.
Then someone knocked outside. I went to open it, sir Draeden and Tanya came up to me. They were carrying food and fruit. I'm not annoyed with it anymore, I've come to think that it's not really everyone's fault. I am his mother so I should have been more protected here.
"Beshy sorry really," she said once sobbing.
"Beshy, it's not your fault and the two of us, I should take care of my child, especially since he is a minor," said Andrea.
"I'm sorry Andrea," said Sir Draeden.
"You're not to blame for what happened sir. It's ok that's important Axel is safe and thank you sir Stevenson," she said.
We all fell silent when sir Draeden spoke.
"Buddy what are you doing here?" the curiosity of my crazy best friend.
"I'm meeting Mr. Chua here, my business partner," I said and I didn't care if he believed me.
"Really?" he mockingly.
"It's up to you if you don't want to believe," I replied.
Our quarrel stopped when the two returned carrying the food.
"Let's eat?" Tanya's invitation
At the same time the two of us went to the table to eat a snack. While Andrea is teasing her son who is now sitting.
We also talked a lot that day, but Andrea didn't even join. She was busy taking care of her child as if she didn't want to be separated from him even for a moment from what happened earlier. We just let him do what he wanted and I just looked at him in the distance.
