Chapter 24

He looked at the state of the building and was highly disappointed that someone in his pack can be living in such a bad situation. Alex made a mental note to remind the decorators and builders to work on the place or better still relocate her closer to the pack house.
He quickly hid in the bushes again and changed into his human form. He wore the cloth he took from the boder patrol guy and changed into it.
Alex climbed her steps quietly afraid he was going to statle the old woman.
"Stop acting like a whimp and get your self in here Alpha"
Alex released a sigh of relief and stepped into the house with full confidence. Looking around he noticed the dismay around the house, no lights and all the curtains were noticeably down.
"Stop looking around and come stay hello to your grandmother" the seer said.
He hastened his steps and located her in the middle of a chair surrounded with piles of clothes stinking badly. He wondered when last she had a bath or a proper clean up but that was not his agenda for today.
Going on his knees in front of her, she placed a hand on his head and muttered some words of blessings to him
"I know you didn't plane to come and see me, but the moon goddess has a way of directing your foot steps to me"
"I'm sorry grandma that I haven't come visiting you for so long" Alex said, settling in by her foot so he could be comfortable
"tsk tsk son you don't have to worry about me" she said, giving him a tooty grin which showed most of her brown teeth.
"The moon goddes led you here." She said , placing both hands on Alex's shoulder.
Alex felt like a little child looking again, safe and sound in the hands of his mother but he was full of questions, questions that needed answers and those answers he will get today.
He racked his brain in search for at least one ounce of doubt he will get but couldn't find any.
He was very sure he found the right person to talk to and get understanding on how to deal with his cara.
"I need answers grandma" he said in a low husky voice
"And answers you will get son
"If you don't venture into the storm, you will never get to the other side of the sea"
"What does that mean grandma" he asked more confused than when he arrived here
"She's in love son, but she will never admit it. The past of a great warrior always comes in the way of their future. "
" What does that mean grandma" he asked..
"You are on the right track, you just need to be patient. And don't forget to protect her from the enemy within"
He looked at her smiling face and wished his mother would have grown old to this age but life had other plans for him
"Go now son, go and fight for what is yours" she said calmly. "May my spirit go with you and protect you from every evil eye. Go son, go now"
Alex got up form the floor and knelt down to great her one more time. She touched her head with her hands and placed it on his head in a manner of blessings.
Stepping out of the house, he pulled out his clothes and changed into his wolf form, carrying his clothes in his mouth, he ran all the way back to the pack house.
The kitchen staff yelp and ran away when he batched into the kitchen and ran straight for the stairs that led to the the Royal Chambers.
Every pack member recognised the alpha's wolf so no one really stopped him for entering the house.
He took the stairs in such speed that he got to his room in less than 2 minutes. He hasn't exercised his muscles for so long and he knew he will be sore.
Entering his room, he changed into his human form and brought out a little back pack that will contain all his necessary clothes.
He trew random things into it not considering how long he was supposed to stay there cos he had one goal in his mind, protect Athena.
A knock sounded on the door distracting him form his impromptu departure.
He sniffed the air and caught the scent of servant
