Juliet Ferguson
We step outside onto the balcony, and I greet by a fresh breeze from the ocean, the ocean is his backyard, I step onto the sand and sink my toes deep into it. I’m going to love being here.
“You like it?”
I hum, “I love it,”
He kisses the top of my head, “Now that we’ve completed the tour, we can go back upstairs, and I’ll show you, our room.”
“Can we just stand here for a minute; I just need to take this all in.”
For the first time in a while, I felt safe, I didn’t have to look over my shoulder, I’m in a place where no one knows me, they don’t know me, and I can let loose and relax. No Angelo, no Kira, No Mona, Gio, Sarah or Juan, just me and my boo.
“We can go in now,” I say, and he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder, and I squeal.
“That wasn’t necessary.”
He laughs and smacks my ass, “Vincent,”
“You can scream my name once we are in the bedroom mi amore,”
“If you think that I haven’t forgotten about you and Sarah, you’ve got another thing coming,” I say folding my arms.
He walks us up the stairs and puts me down once we are in front of the door, he looks at me, “Says the woman I fucked on a plane.”
Shit, I – shit.
“We still need to talk about it, that’s why we are here right?”
“And we will mi amore, we will, can we just settle in and then we’ll talk.”
He opens the door and my jaw drops, this room looks like it came out of a celebrity house and home magazine, the white walls, the giant king-sized bed, the soft carpet, the beautiful vanity, and a view of the beach, I can’t wait for him to fuck me on the balcony. I step into the room and run to the bed and jump on it, landing on soft Egyptian cotton. I sigh contently, thanking God for all these wonderful things, He’s blessed me with.
I hear the door close, and I sit up, Vincent takes off his shoes and then his belt and shirt, he walks over to me with evil intent in his eyes and I am ready for whatever evil sin he wants to commit on me, with me and in me.
I take my t-shirt off and peel off my leggings throwing them on the floor.
“Slow down baby,” he says in his deep sultry Italian accented voice, have I told you how much his accent turns me on, he can’t talk about anything serious without me getting a little moist.
“We are just going to take a nap together, I’m tired,” he says.
This motherfu-
I will admit, I am tired too.
He climbs onto the bed and tackles me down, with his arms wrapping around my waist, he pulls me into his chest, “Sleep mi amore, you’ll need this energy later.”
He kisses my forehead and closes his eyes and drifts off the sleep, it’s so weird how this man can just fall asleep off the bat, and I’m just …
I yawn and rest my head on his chest and drift off to sleep.
-
A few hours later
A knock at the door wakes me up but when I open my eyes, I’m not in the arms of my beloved, I’m covered with a blanket and I have my bonnet on my head, bless his heart.
Vincent emerges from the balcony and tiptoes to the door, he opens it slightly and pecks his head out the door, a few moments pass, and he closes the door.
“Vincent,” I call out to him.
He walks over to the bed and sits beside me, “You’re awake,”
He gives me a tender kiss on the lips and then on the forehead.
“Why didn’t you wake me up?” I pout.
“You looked so peaceful, I didn’t want to disrupt that, and it sounded like you were having quite the dream, moaning my name like that,”
My eyes bulge out of my head, “What?”
He laughs, “I’m only joking, why don’t you go take a shower, and get dressed, they will be bringing in lunch in 30 minutes and then we’ll go to the beach.”
I nod and get out of bed, “Is everything already packed into the closet?”
“Yes, mi amore, just go take a shower and I’ll get everything ready for you, yeah?”
I get out of bed and lazily walk to the bathroom, I look around and find all my toiletries organized on the sink countertop, I put on my face mask before brushing my teeth, I get the shower ready while I finish up brushing my teeth and washing my face, once I’m done, I hop in the shower and cleanse myself with my lavender body wash. Once I’m done, I dry myself off and walk out of the bathroom, my clothes are laid on the bed, which I know is Vincent’s doing, he’s pulled out my red swimsuit and a red and white kimono, I must say the man’s got style, I moisturize and dress up, spraying his favourite perfume.
I hear Vincent having a heated conversation on the phone.
“I do not give a shit Angelo, you sort it out, call Gio, he can help you,”
He groans, “You are such a pain in the ass and no, she doesn’t know yet, I’ll tell her.”
There is a brief moment of silence.
“Look, get Gio on it and make sure that you find out what happened, she can’t get away with what she did, she won’t.”
Are they talking about me?
I walk onto the balcony and he’s hanging up the phone.
“Mi amore,” he greets with a smile.
He’s not nervous, he’s calm. So, it’s not about me?
“I thought we were supposed to be on vacation Mario, who were you talking to?”
“Angelo,”
I chuckle, “Why? What’s the matter?”
“You might want to sit down for this,” he says as he sits down on the chair, I sit down and look over the ocean before looking back at him.
“So, Angelo just found out that Thomas is married,” he says.
I roll my eyes, “I’m not surprised.”
I’m going to kill him.
“And I also just found out that the woman he’s married to is Carmen,”
What the hell did he just say?
“You mean dead Carmen, shouldn’t be alive Carmen?”
He nods, “But they aren’t sure, it could be just a false alarm.”
“Oh, it better be, or they are both gonna wish they had stayed gone.”
