Chapter 26

"Where did you shoot him?"the master asked with a raised tone!.

"On...his hand sir"he hesitated to reply because he knew his reply was stupid.

"You shot someone that betrayed me on the hand?Is that how I trained you?" The man questioned angrily.

"No sir,it was due to the smoke sir it won't happen again"he said pleading.

"So, Herry came to my territory to kill me, maybe I had belittled our little CEO, what about his opponent?"he said with anger filled voice.

"She's good also.,her childhood care taker and her ex assistant is travelling to Canada this night and she seems pretty sad about it"he said.

"Perfect!take him" The masked man said as he slammed his leg on the injured man's fingers!.

"Okay sir" The injured man said and stood up to carry out the assignment his master sent him on.


"Herry seems to be playing smart but little did he know who I am and what I can do to destroy him.". He mumbled.

Herry sat in his study as he continued pressing his phone. He was watching a business programme but he suddenly paused it and look up...
"It couldn't have been Jake so it's obviously one of us but that is not right either. How did he know I would be coming and escape before I arrived? "he asked himself with confusion in his eyes.

"Who do you suspect sir?"Ray asked, also feeling complicated.

"I don't really know. So, I'm giving you an assignment, find out who the imposter is and I want quick answers."he said thinking of who could have done such a thing .

"I'll find out sir" Ray replied and left to start the investigation.

"Who could have sold me out? I'll have to start keeping my movement a secret and only Ray will be aknowledged."

Herry kept on thinking of what the next plan would be. He he had to do something, who knows what their next action will be.

"If I am able to trace the injured man, I'll be able to trace his cowardly actions.
But whoever this is will suffer my wrath..."

His mind roamed around and stopped at Lisa's gentle gaze. He was thinking about Lisa!
"She really had my back today but why?we are enemies and she shouldn't be helping me...,I guess it wouldn't be that bad if she got the position.
She's very reliable and kind but I have my reasons for wanting the conglomerate and I can never ignore it!.."He thought out loud.

" but, I guess she's not that bad"he said with a smile.

"And I have to admit she was actually looking okay during the meeting at the restaurant,the red dress made her look more feminine and gentle"he added, still smiling but then he frowned and slapped himself...

"What the hell is wrong with me? why am I thinking about Lisa?!"he questioned, while massaging his temple.


Lisa received a call from ken.
"Hello Lisa meet me at Ben's gatadage I have something to tell you"old man said over the phone.

"Why do you want to meet there?"she didn't get an answer as the call ended.
"Why does old man want to meet me at a gatadage and I thought he was traveling. Well the only way I'll get answers to my numerous questions is if I go there.

She immediately got dressed and drove off to the location.
She got there in less than hour.

Knowing how dangerous it will be to go there at that time she still took the courage and went ahead because she truly trusted ken and believed in him. She hoped he had called to change his mind about leaving him.
She couldn't deny the fact that she needed him around..

Arriving there ,she saw no one and the place was eerily dark...

"ken!"she called out as she looked around the room. She had a mixed feeling in her heart!.

She could feel the presence of people watching her discreetly and that was when she understood she was in great danger!

Soon,, five men came running toward her and they grabbed her~
"Who are you?! don't touch me! you assholes!" She shouted as she fought back the men!

They kept on dragging her toward a black van and she kept resisting
"Leave me,who are you?!"she said panicking.

Someone hit her head with a club and she lost consciousness
"Leave me...."she said as she slowly lost consciousness.

Lisa woke up in a dark room and she struggled to regain her vision as her sight was blurr
"Where am I?"she struggled to say..
"Welcome Miss Lisa" A strange masculine voice suddenly rang in her ears and she looked toward the direction of the voice but she could see no one.
" Its such a pleasant surprise to see you!" The man exclaimed as if he was shocked " The brave woman who dared compete for the conglomerate with Mr Herry.. It takes a lot of courage to do that"he added with a calm voice and chuckled.

"Who are you?!" Lisa asked with gritted teeth, straining her eyes so she could see him because he was standing in the shadows..

"I am your greatest nightmare" The voice replied in a very scary tone but Lisa wasn't at all moved.

"Why have you brought me here and what do you want from me? " she asked with a raised brow.

"What I want from you? You will know it very soon" he said and left,leaving her alone in the room.

Lisa smiles inwardly
"Such a cool jerk!" she muttered out, enjoying the whole ordeal and a wicked smirk appeared on her pretty face.

Back home, Lisa had gone missing for a while now and this worried her Personal assistant who suspected her competitor Mr Herry could have kidnapped her..
He quickly made a call to the police station and informed them of Lisa's disapearance and his suspicions.
The police gathered themselves and followed Lewis to investigate Mr Herry.

"Hi sir, we are from the police department,we were told you might have some information about Miss Lisa's disapearance." One 9f the police officers said to Herry, showing his Identification card..
"I'm Mr Herry but I don't think I have any information about the missing person" Herry replied after a long silence. He looked somehow confused and a hint of fear rushed into his serious gaze but he was quick to make it disapear and his aloof face appeared once more.

"Wait Mr Herry? like the influencial CEO? " Another policeman, who had recognized Herry too late said out in amazement.

"Yes I am" Herry replied with his voice full of ice.

The police men all looked at each other and fear appeared on their faces. "Well... You don't need to worry about it, since you have no information about her."They said and hurriedly left leaving Lewis behind but not before giving him a hard glare!.
They did not want to mess with Mr Herry because it will cost them their jobs if not their lives and they were not ready to lose any!. Besides, Herry had a clean record that the whole world might criticize the police if they were to hear that they suspect him.

"I still don't believe you're innocent and I will make sure to get all the evidences to prove you guilty!" Lewis said with so much confidence that one would think he was threatening Herry.

Herry raised a brow ... "Is that a threat?" He asked with a smirk on his handsome face.

"Take that as whatever you want!"he said and turned to leave.

Ray's face immediately turned gloomy and his hands twitched. "Should I teach him some lesson?" Ray asked as he was already about to throw some punches at Lewis but Herry was faster enough to stop the push before it landed on Lewis. A punch from Ray might have Lewis killed and Herry didn't want that.
Ray had been standing beside Herry through the whole conversation and he couldn't watch someone as low as Lewis insult his boss!.

"Leave Me!" Ray shouted with a stern look but Herry shook his head, giving him a signal which he took instantly and dropped his hand while Lewis quickly rushed away from the room with his neck stuck into his body in fear!.

"So, Miss Lisa is out of the way now? This means, you can get the position since she's out of the way now and that's all you ever wanted. Isn't that so?." Ray asked with excitement in his voice. He was glad that Lisa was out of the way and the only one they had to fight was the hidden coward! But he was wrong...

"Send our men to find her" Herry suddenly blurted in a calm voice.

"What?" Ray was shocked to hear that and he couldn't help but exclaim with eyes wide opened "Are you sure you want to do this?? She's finally out of the way and you should be happy for that! What use would it be if you help her out again?" Ray asked, not understanding why his friend was doing this. It felt strange to him.
