His Prisoner, His Rules

**Ivery Clark POV**

Alrigo had no shame.

Not an ounce of it.

I sat stiffly on his lap, my back rod-straight, hands clenched into fists as he held me there like I belonged to him. His grip was firm, possessive, a silent declaration that I had no choice but to stay exactly where he wanted me.

The warmth of his body burned through the thin silk of my nightgown, and every shift of his thighs beneath me sent a reminder through my sore, aching skin.

My ass still stung from yesterday, from the way he had bent me over his desk and punished me until I was trembling, until tears had spilled past my lashes. And yet, here he was—acting like none of it had ever happened.

Like he hadn’t broken me.

Like he hadn’t done filthy things on the desk, whispering against my ear while I struggled in vain.

“Open.”

His voice was low, rich with authority, and the fork hovered just before my lips.

I snapped my eyes up to him, my glare sharp enough to cut. The sheer arrogance in his gaze made my blood boil.

He was enjoying this—this twisted little game where he got to control me even in something as mundane as breakfast.

But then his voice dropped to something slow, something rich with command. “I said open your mouth, little pet.”

My jaw clenched. My pride screamed at me to slap the fork away, to shove off his lap and walk out of this room with whatever dignity I had left. But I knew better. His rules were law, and defying them only led to consequences.

And my body had already paid enough.

My lips parted, bitter resentment pooling on my tongue as I allowed him to press the bite past my lips. His smirk deepened as he watched me chew, his fingers flexing slightly on my waist as if to remind me who was in control.

“Good girl,” he murmured, his voice dropping to something dark, something indulgent.

I forced the food down, ignoring the way my stomach twisted at the praise. At the way he made it sound like he owned me in every way.

Alrigo slid another bite between my lips, enjoying this—my obedience, my silence, my forced compliance.

I swallowed, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand as if I could erase the humiliation.

"I want you to get ready after this." His voice was smooth, unbothered, as he set the fork down. "We're going to my office.”

I stiffened. My brows furrowed as I turned to him, confused. "What? Why?"

His dark eyes flicked to me, a glint of amusement beneath their sharp edges. "Did you forget, ma bella? You still owe me a lot.”

I clenched my teeth. “I'm already done with that punishment.” My voice was tight with restrained fury. "You made sure of it.”

Alrigo leaned back in his chair, fingers drumming against the table. "Oh, but I’m not done.”

My blood ran hot. This bastard.

“You’re going to work at my company as an intern.” Alrigo said casually, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

I let out a sharp humorless laugh, crossing my arms. “You must be joking.”

His dark eyes flicked to me, unwavering. “Why would I? Also shouldn’t you be grateful? It’s a good opportunity. Your profile could use the boost, *considering you’re still a college student.*”

I scoffed, “Boost?”A humorless laugh escaped my lips. “That’s rich coming from you. Since when did you start *caring* about my future?”

Alrigo took a slow sip of his coffee, unbothered. “Since I decided to *own it*.”

My breath hitched, my fingers curling into fists. *Own it? This son of a…*

I scoffed, tilting my head mockingly. "As if. Why don’t you just admit it? This isn’t about my profile or career. You just can’t stand the thought of me being anywhere outside your reach.”

“You’re a goddamn lunatic,” I spat. “You get off on this, don’t you? On keeping me locked under your thumb like some prized possession? I bet the thought of me out of your sight terrifies you, doesn't it?”

His smirk deepened, slow and taunting.

“Of course,” he murmured, tilting his head slightly. “Because keeping you locked up in the mansion would be far too dangerous.”

“You can’t even handle the simplest tasks here. Who knows when you’ll blast the house when I'm not around?”

His smirk widened. “So wouldn’t it be safer if I kept an eye on you, ma bella?”

Heat burned through me—not the flustered kind, but the pure, unfiltered rage that came with being mocked so effortlessly. I clenched my jaw, my pride warring with the suffocating truth.

"You're sick," I spat. "Twisted. So obsessed with control. So you’d rather drag me to your office than let me breathe on my own. What’s next? A leash? Are you going to chain me to your desk so I can’t escape your sight for even a second?"

Alrigo exhaled a quiet laugh, dark and rich. He reached out, curling a finger beneath my chin, tilting my face up to his.

“Now there's an idea,” he murmured, voice like silk over steel.

My breath hitched before I caught myself, my spine going rigid. I swear he is a born psychopath. Alrigo suddenly got up, making me flinch and I rose along him and took a step back.

"Be ready in 15 minutes " he said smoothly.

“I won't.” I sneered at him.

Alrigo sighed, "It’s a simple choice, Ivery. Work for me, or… belong to me in a much different way. I don't mind either way, I'll enjoy it thoroughly."

My stomach twisted in fury, but I knew—there was no winning against him. Not when he had already decided my fate.

We reached Alrigo’s company and my jaw dropped from how huge the building was. So this is King enterprises..?

I walked a step behind him, just as he expected, but every pair of eyes in the vast, sleek lobby was on me. Employees scurried to greet him, eyes flickering to me with barely concealed curiosity.
Alrigo, of course, moved forward as if none of it concerned him.

"Good morning, Mr. King," his secretary, a striking woman in a crisp black suit, smiled professionally. "Your schedule for the day is on your desk. Shall I bring coffee?”

“No need.” Alrigo dismissed and signaled me to come in. I obeyed him and walked along the cabinet. The heavy office doors shut behind us, sealing me inside his world. His empire.

And Alrigo was right, This was… a golden opportunity.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Jewelry Design was my foundation, but King Enterprises could be my breakthrough.

Their jewelry brand wasn’t just any normal brand—it was the pinnacle of the industry. The company dominated the global market, known for its breathtaking craftsmanship and unmatched prestige. People spent their entire careers just dreaming of getting a foot in the door here.

And now, here I was, being offered a place inside. If I played this right, this could change everything for me.

I crossed my arms and turned to face him. "So? What exactly am I supposed to do here?”

"You want me to work, fine. I'm good at designing. No one is better than King Enterprises when it comes to jewelry—"

Alrigo smirk stopped me. That slow, knowing smirk that always meant trouble.

"Who said you'll be working as one of our regular employees, ma bella?”

I froze. My stomach twisted.

"What...?" My voice came out wary, almost breathless.

He leaned in, watching me with a gleam of dark amusement. "Do you really think I would bring a troublemaker like you here to work here with my employees..?”

I feel something ominous about him now.

“Alas, but I have other plans for you now.”

Oh god.
