We’ll be on land shortly
Klaus
We changed boats shortly before arriving at the archipelago. We took a smaller one, guided by a human from the islands, to cross the gigantic coral barrier that exists around Cosmos.
The coral dome in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea shelters centuries-old animals, and keeps away the last travelers who manage to pass through the merciless currents and what they call the “Cloud of Barriers”.
Cloud barriers are phenomena that no human can explain. All types of communication simply disappear when you get close to the archipelago, no technology frequencies can penetrate our lands, and it is very difficult to see anything in the extensive fog. People have bad luck, forget to do little things, get confused, and simply can't get to Cosmos.
Many humans say they have even encountered sea monsters here, great mirages that keep away and preserve our secrets. Only experienced sailors are able to pass, those who are authorized by the gods to penetrate the Persians' home.
The problem is that because we have to leave the yacht, which will be taken back to the coast of Italy by an employee, and stay in a small boat capable of passing through the holes in the coral dome, I am forced to come face to face with Karina, something I have avoided as much as possible.
While my female slept, I took care of everything her body needed. I put water and more of my blood between her lips, changed her clothes, dried her sweat and listened to her heart beating healthy again. But with her eyes open, everything changed.
— We’ll be on land shortly — the older human says, with her complexion is very tanned from living here in this blue paradise, and my female nods her head, huddled in the corner of the wooden boat and being forced to follow the rocking of our vessel without comfort.
I know you are in pain and sick, the accident is still very recent. She slept for more than twenty four hours, however, her body is not like mine.
Karina is fragile.
However, I also know that I cannot take her to myself and comfort her. I am in a very bad position right now and perhaps beyond repair, which makes me distressed.
— Is the house ready and stocked yet, Don? — Vladimir asks from above the sound of the waves as corals scratch the bottom and sides of the boat. It's quite a spectacle and with my good eyesight, I'm able to watch the fish swimming in this deep blue water.
— We always keep Nayni’s homes ready to receive guests — explains the man.
Nayni is the name of the main island, the largest and least dangerous of all in the Cosmos archipelago, which humans believe to be a single island. The other lands have some other dangerous inhabitants and are treated with much more caution.
— Very good, we will stop there and then go to the healer —
Vladimir says and wipes the sweat from his forehead as we paddle. He has to have a lot of strength to not let the boat be taken out of the waters of Cosmos. Leaving is easy, entering is difficult.
— I'll go straight to the healer and you can go to the house, and not make a fuss. I don't want them to know I'm here, not even the other Persians,” I mutter and my eyes escape to Karina, as she has been doing every few minutes.
The sun is very strong on our heads and she only faces the white sand a few kilometers ahead. Karina preferred to stay by my uncle's side, which I don't like at all, but I can't complain.
— Andreas will take you and your female to the healer later — my uncle remembers the plan. Even though no human communication passes, we have our own means and leave as many things ready for our arrival.
— I still remember the way there through the forest, don't worry.
worry — I warn, using the ancient Persian language so Karina doesn't understand.
— Things have changed since last time — Don warns since he knows well the language, and I shrug.
— I'll take Karina to the healer myself — I insist, knowing that she won't
He has no idea what I'm saying and only manages to catch his name in the middle of the sentence.
***
The path to the healer is not difficult, just follow the smells of his special herbs among Nayni's vegetation, herbs that only he knows how to use and cultivate. I still remember all the teas he gave me when I was just a puppy. What's difficult is getting Karina to accept that after walking along the beautiful, deserted beach, she must let me put her on my lap to take her to help.
— You will never touch me again. — The brown of your eyes
They would catch fire if they could, they were so furious. — I disgust you, Klaus, and I'm only here because I had no other option.
Her words hurt me, but what really devastates me is seeing her limping and looking so haggard. If I hadn't taken Niflin's bait, none of this would have happened.
— The way there is not quick and you cannot walk around after your accident, Karina, even taking my blood.
The strong, salty wind blows and blows our hair and clothes. The female wears a t-shirt and my uncle's boxer shorts, as he had more clothes in the yacht's closet.
I came home after the accident, but I wasn't in the right frame of mind to think about picking up her clothes. In fact, I wasn't in the mood for anything, I just wanted to get her out of Red Town.
— I… — Her mouth moves, but no sound comes out as she thinks about the who will speak and continues walking into the shade of a palm tree on the hot sand with flip-flops too big for his feet. — I'll wait for the employee to arrive and take me to your healer then.
Meanwhile, my uncle and the human take out some bags that we brought in the boat. Lava, my cat, will have to spend time with Nora, as she certainly wouldn't be able to handle this entire trip easily.
— Your case is urgent, we've already waited here and I need to know what the
my blood healed you or not.
— I'll wait and after that I want to see an obstetrician. I know very well that You have the money to bring one here. I want to see my son on the ultrasound and know if he is healthy. — Hugs his own body, as if he were protecting himself from me.
It really surprises me that Karina accepted being pregnant with one of my puppies so easily. She would respect it if she said that she doesn't want to have a baby now, even if it would hurt, since I could even hear the small heartbeats of the cub in her belly when it was transformed.
— I can give you an obstetrician later, but I guarantee that the healer will persane
will be much more skillful. They smell disease like I smell fear — I explain and that doesn't change the determined expression on his round, sweaty face. — But what I can't negotiate is that you stay on my lap until we know your real condition.
I try to take her by the arm, but the stubborn human makes a disgusted face. I can't understand how you think she can walk around when her body is so injured.
— Don't you dare! You have no right to anything, you never really cared with me. — He practically spits the words at me.
It was to be expected that because she never had good self-esteem, any doubt would make all the confidence we had built up until now plummet. However, this makes me even more distressed, because unless Karina gets inside my head, I would never be able to prove to her how I feel.
— I know you're in pain, darling, I can tell by the way you move slowly. Just let me help with that, please — I decide to be softer, which doesn't please her at all according to her expressions.
— Let Vladimir carry me then — he suggests and I want to growl, but I hold back.
— Do you prefer my uncle to me? — I arch my eyebrows and wipe my face.
sweat from my brow. The heat here is something like no other, I remember spending my entire childhood without clothes to ward off it.
— I'd rather not be touched by the man who planned to leave me rape! — She accuses, tightening her arms around herself even more.
— I could never do that to you, I've been under a spell since the hotel, Karina! The one time you saw Dante, I had you out of the same room as him in minutes! — I end up losing my patience and speaking much louder than I planned.
In the past I knew how to be quiet, but after Karina and the transformation it is very difficult to remain calm, just as the prophecy says.
The Persian who manages to change forms will have to know how to tame his inner wolf if he wants to have his soul mate, and only when they are truly together will a new era begin.
— That's still bad! Just because you didn't do it to me doesn't mean
I wouldn't do it with anyone else.
She gets a long growl from me. In my species, we do whatever it takes to get what we want. But in Karina's, they condemn violence, even though it continues to be blatantly practiced.
— Let's do it my way, then — I grunt, bend down and pull Karina out of the way. floor without any effort.
In the first few seconds she doesn't even move, as if she were in shock, which gives me the advantage of starting to enter the dense and green forest of Nayni. — Let go of me! — But then she understands what I'm doing and wants to join me. debate in my arms. And as proof that she really is in pain, the female is unable to continue moving sharply for even a full minute. — Put me down, Klaus! — She is panting, her heart is beating very loudly.
— You will be quiet and we will get to the healer's house soon! - I talk, holding her body tightly to mine, carrying her horizontally.
— I'm not your pet anymore, you idiot! — You try to cause me pain with punches in the chest, but Karina doesn't even tickle me with her weak blows and all she does is announce our presence to any animal that is nearby.
— What if you have displaced your placenta? Do you want our puppy die? — I manage to control myself and use a serious tone, which makes her suddenly quiet. Karina doesn't snuggle up against me, but she also doesn't contradict me anymore. — We must tell the healer everything, so that he has all the information and can help you as much as possible — I explain and follow the smell of fresh herbs, which have a pungent aroma that is impossible to ignore for a Persian.
The nature of these islands is breathtaking. The colorful flowers that grow on the ground and also on the trunks of the grand trees, the noises of the birds and even the insects are different from what we have in Red Town.
As the sun has difficulty penetrating the ground, with each step the climate becomes cooler and more humid, which makes Karina sweat even more, oddly enough. Her hair is stuck to her skin and her t-shirt is
close to her breasts, showing her brown nipples that I do my best not to stare at. — Are you going to tell us that you turned into a wolf too? — he asks without me stare, looking at your surroundings as if you were in a zoo. I'm sure Karina has never seen a tropical forest up close, and is only seeing it because Nayni has no predators other than the Persians.
When we go to the other islands, she shouldn't walk like that through the trees.
— Yes, perhaps this will change something in our cub, the healer must know better. Besides my blood could also be different and have done something extra to you.
- Like what, for example? — She sounds obviously worried.
— I don't know, mon polar — I reply and that leaves her speechless for a few moments. seconds, as I walk cautiously.
— I wish you wouldn't call me mon polar anymore. Niflin said that It meant “my destined moon”.
— Why did he tell you that? — I suspect, without understanding why that disgusting male would talk about these things with my little one.
— It doesn't matter, just don't say that anymore — he orders, in his new cutting tone, and I just give a short nod, feeling my chest hurt.
The rest of the way to the healer is silent between the two of us and it's a good thing it's very short, because every second alone next to her hating me is a martyrdom for me.
— It's here — I say, as a wooden cabin appears.
It's still as I remember, small, with a lot of slime stuck to its structure and two beds of grass in front that no animal dares to eat, since they have instincts and know what's good for them and what's not.
We have access to many things from the mainland here on the islands, however, the Persian culture is also very rich and they learned to make their own instruments, which is why the house looks so rustic at first glance.
- What happens now? — Karina whispers and her smell of fear
starts to surface, which makes me sink even deeper into anger. No self-respecting male should let his female go through half of what she went through. — Zeva! It's me, Klaus! I shout, because I know you will hear me wherever I go.
be in your cabin full of your discoveries and medicines.
We wait a little, I hear the man's footsteps between the rooms, however, the male who appears at the door is not Zeva.
—Klaus? — he asks, running his hand through his full, dark-toned beard. coppery. This man who opened the cabin door must be just a little older than my age and he is also tall like me, and strong. —Klaus Dark Elf? — Of course he knows my name, since my family is very well known.
— Why are you at Zeva's house? I ask, suspicious and thinking
What route would you take if you and Karina had to flee from this intruder?
— I'm Astor, the new healer since Zeva left a few months ago. back. — Zeva was an adult a little younger than my uncle Vladimir when I met him, so I hoped he was still alive today, even if he was elderly.
My heart races with nervousness, because now that I've said his name, I know who he is. Astor is Niflin's older brother, who chose to stay on the islands and must not even know that I killed his youngest.
—Is that on your lap your companion? — Astor asks and comes walking towards the two of us, not caring that I don't show any sign of opening.
— Yes — I answer and he sniffs the air a little, then licks his lip. bottom, tasting the air as I do.
— Do you want help? with O cub, right?
