Chapter 24
Chapter Twenty-four
Rico’s pov*
“We have a problem” Enzo informed with a strict line on his face, he has always been indifferent but to see his face hardened surely means it is a big issue.
I throw Leon's phone at him. “The issues?” I questioned getting back to business mode.
“One of the VIPs did overdose, somehow the news got out and the reporters are here, we managed to chase them away…..” he paused and I sensed a but coming.
“One of them managed to enter the club, and we can't find him” he speaks while I chuckle at their impotency.
Dirty Talk is one of the big clubs in New York, and being one of our best means having very good security yet a reporter manages to enter here. That is bad, if our customers get hold of this, it could spoil business, one thing those drug addicts care about is security, they appear to be decent to the public but here they can be who they want to be and get high without any interference.
That means as long as they don't break the rules, harass one of our workers, and most important get on my nerves.
“How many Vips do we have in the club right now?”
“Including you and Leon, just five. The rest are just regular” Enzo answered while Leon grunted, I know what it was for.
He being addressed as one of them, fortunately for him, he is clean and he doesn't involve himself in our family business unless he wants something in return, and that was the case with the ship cargo.
My mom’s family was rich, but their money wasn't that clean, they had help from dangerous people here and there and that was how my mom got involved with my dad and married him. It was a marriage of convenience which later developed into something else at least for my mom.
I know how badly it will affect Leon if he gets seen in this club especially when he is running for a position in the Senate House.
But he isn't the only one at risk, just as it is unknown that Leon is my cousin, people can't find out I run this place, afterall to them, I'm just an heir to multi-billionaires Casinos.
“First, get the VIPs out of here. Come up with any excuse you can, and get them out through the back door, no one must know that a reporter is inside” I barked while Enzo nodded.
“Shouldn't be finding the reporter be your priority” Julia suggested from the phone, I thought Leon had ended the call but he didn't. “By the way, Hi Enzo…. It has been a while”
I looked at Enzo who had a disturbing look on as he replied to my sister. Hi Julia” was all he said before I gave Leon the signal to end the car, which luckily for everyone he did.
“Check the camera?” I asked Enzo as we made our way outside along with Leon, I have no idea why he hasn't left yet.
“We did, even the VIPs section but there are no clues for him. He seems to be avoiding the cameras and he knows where they are so well”
“You suspecting a spy?” I imperiled and he nodded while Leon whistled finding it hilarious, well it is.
I thought men under me were smart enough to know, their betrayal comes with a price. Guess not.
When I was young, the first thing my dad taught me after I killed a man was how to implant fear in men, and I'm too good at it.
“Any live stream about Dirty Talks?”
“Nothing yet, which is strange. That should be the first he does to ensure his safety, that is how they all think. If they make a live stream it boosts their chance of survival” Enzo answered with confusion clear in his face.
“Not really, if he plans to reveal everything then a live stream isn't the best. It will let you guys be aware of his location, but not doing it won't grant his survival. Unless his motive is not to expose you people” Leon shrugged and we all stopped walking as my realization dawned on me.
“Which place doesn't have CCTV in here?”
“Your office and your private room. Do you think he is there?”
I took a deep breath trying to calm down my anger even though the only thing I wanted to see was that reporter blood.
“You check the private room, I check my office” I ordered and headed into my room, it was the last one on the top floor with no one guarding it.
Because I thought there was no need, no one would be foolish enough to try to go there. I have been proved wrong.
“Be fast, we don't know when he might come back”
“Shut up, you are disturbing me. Are you even sure there is anything in his computer, maybe it is empty like everywhere we checked”
“Kid these days keep everything on their computer, it is common sense”
“Well, he isn't a kid, according to you he is the devil. And once I get my hand on this information, we will fucking set for life, I can't believe anyone will offer that amount for a piece of information”
“Just be fast” The two men inside my room both yapped among them, not knowing that I was outside the room, looking at them. The fools didn't even close the door, how idiotic, for them to think they could even steal from me.
“This is an eyesore to watch” Leonard speaks. “It is like I'm sorry watching two fools interact”
I agreed with him for once, it is stupid to watch. The men must have heard his voice because one of them brought his gun, while we both entered the room.
The man who holds the gun makes a large mouthful rapidly at the sight of me. His hand was shaking and I could easily tell that he never shot anyone before.
With the clothes he had, it was obvious he worked as a server in the club, and the other one sitting down must be the reporter.
“How daft you must be, to think you can easily steal from me? It hurt my pride that it is just a common server”
His hand trembles more, as sweat fills his forehead and his entire body shakes.
“I didn't mean to, I'm sorry”
“What are you doing? The gun is in your hand, if you just shoot him we will be able to get out of here” the man says feeling irritable by his partner's behavior.
“I won't advise that if you manage to kill Rico. Your chance of leaving here becomes slimmer, the sound will alert his men and they will come here immediately, trust me it only gets worse from there. You won't be killed immediately because that is mercy, you will be tortured to death by his father, his sister, and all of his family members including me, like I said that is if you managed to kill him which is impossible”
The reporter grinned and then cackled into laughter. “You guys must think you are invisible but you are just a bunch of thugs dressed in expensive suits, how ridiculous”
“If you aren't going to do it, then give me the gun” he tried to collect the gun from his partner, but was shot instead.
His voice echoed through the room, like the sound of the gunshot, thankful only the person on the top floor would be able to hear not downstairs, and on the top floor anything goes.
I looked at Leonard and grunted as he put his gun back to his back, and shrugged at me. “He got on my nerves,” he said while I rolled my eyes, the other man dropped the gun in his hand and was shaking.
“Now, where do we start from?”
A loud groan filled the room and the smell of flesh burning evaporated the room, and their blood stained the floor. “Please, I already told you everything”
They were paid to bring information to them, but he isn't telling who they are, their location, and where to meet them.
“It isn't enough, tell me more or you end up like your friend,” I said as we both glanced at the body on the ground next to me, the reporter had bled out from shooting earlier, he was all mouth and weak, but the server is still alive and I will get information out of me one way or the another.
“I don't know anything” he said again and I was getting frustrated honestly.
“Want to take over” I asked Leon who hadn't left my side, we were the three in the torture.
“In this suit, nah”
I ignored him as my phone rang, it was Kai.
“Speak”
“Angel is here to see your wife”
