Chapter 14
Chapter Fourteen
Fiona had spent her time after her incident with her sister taking care of her and watching after her, she wasn't sure what she wanted to do. And frankly it wasn't like she could reach him to talk to him. She had discovered that when she had taken her phone to call him only to realize she didn't have his number just his assistant.
So she had taken care of Rosa who was recovering quite well and had noticed her melancholy and was uncertain what to do about it.
She didn't want to come live with her, she kept saying the space was for a married couple. Fiona didn't have the heart to tell her that she and Raven were not a normal couple.
The he had come home, Fiona had hesitated slightly before rushing down the stairs like a crazy person
The door opened lightly and he walked into the house and met her in the living room,Fiona stood to the side trying to pretend that she had not been anxious to see him. He looked wonderful, it was crazy that she was seeing him that way but he was.
He stood there hands clutching his keys like they were a lifeline he didn't want to let go of
" Hey, how are you" he asked dropping his bag on the table and she smiled uncertainly looking to him. She didn't want to make a mistake again
" Fine, how are you" she asked, pointing to the door behind him and , he shrugged
" Went well"
She was fidgeting, Fiona wondered if he could tell , and if he was ignoring it for her sake the fact that it was a possibility was sweet and equally mortifying to think about at the same time.
" Did you go out today" he asked and Fiona nodded
" Yes I was with Rosa all day, I'm trying to convince her to live here with me," she mumbled and he nodded
" I can get her a place here if you want " he muttered and she shook her head.
" You've fine too much already" she mumbled and he shrugged but his eyes were set with purpose something she had learned to recognize over the short time they spent with each other.
" She wants us to have dinner together one day" Fiona muttered wincing, did that sound like she was trying to force him to come
He nodded, running his hands through his hair
" Let's make time for it this weekend maybe" he replied. He walked to her with a slight smile on his face as he kissed her cheeks. Fiona swallowed deeply at the gesture a little stunned by it
" Let's go to bed " he murmured to her taking her arm in his grip.
" Are you hungry" Fiona asked, all of a sudden nervous but uncertain as to why she actually was nervous, it wasn't like she didn't know him, it wasn't like they had not seen each other naked before but she was nervous.
She didn't want him thinking she was clingy
He walked towards the room as he answered
" Yes, but I wasn't sure if you had anything here"
" Order, will Louis' be open now " he frowned looking confused, she laughed
" You're kidding" she mumbled but he wasn't. She reached for her phone
" Take a shower, I'll order" she said and he nodded
She dialed her phone and ordered food and soon there was a knock on the door, she walked to it and opened it grabbing the bags. She closed the door and turned to find a wet and very slippery Raven.
She tried not to swallow her tongue, was she being sex crazed or was this a normal reaction to a man. She didn't really know because other than Donald, Fiona had never had a long standing relationship.
" What is that" he asked as he grabbed the bags from her hand, she laughed
" You've never had Chinese food" she asked and he shook his head
" Not this no" she mumbled bags raised
" Well let's get you initiated " she offered laying out the spread, soon they were eating
" This is rather good " he mumbled and she grinned
" I told you so"
" How has work been" she asked skirting around the topic she really wanted to ask
" Busy but productive" he murmured he was quite good at using the chopsticks
" And you're not mad " she finally asked
" At what " he asked and she paused
" The questions I asked you the other day"
" No Fiona, I was but not anymore" he muttered and she smiled
" I'm glad"
They ate in simple silence, sharing bits of food once they were done, it was back to clearing up the place, and tidying up for the night
" let's go to bed" he mumbled, she gulped nodding slightly
Fiona walked to the room with him, hesitating a bit when he pulled off his shirt and tossed it into the hamper at the bathroom.
Fiona pulled back
" Are you sure you're ok with spending the night here" Fiona asked, and he sighed
" Get in bed, Fiona, you're making too much of a fuss" he huffed and Fiona walked into the room and to the bathroom, she brushed her teeth and washed her face then strode back to the room. Raven was standing there unbothered he walked towards her and pressed a small kiss to her lips, it was soft exploratory and wasn't supposed to last long but Fiona couldn't help herself.
She hung on to him, curling her fingers into his jacket, he groaned his hands curling on her waist as he kissed her deeply.
Then he pulled away, smiling softly against her cheek,
" Let's go to bed" he said softly and she nodded.
We got into bed at the same time, he pulled the cover to her waist his hands come round to her stomach.
" You really aren't mad" she asked and he scoffed
" You're over thinking things. Go to sleep."
Fiona lay there even as his breathing went quiet, thinking and replaying everything that had happened tonight.
With each day that passed Fiona had a sinking feeling that she was coming to like him. The problem was she didn't know if he liked her and even if he did this marriage could only be a secret one as his family would never accept her.
ere in this for the revenge, Fiona didn't know why she wanted him but she did and it was up to her to put an end to those feelings if she even could.
And maybe that was something Fiona needed to think about, why she wanted it, maybe if she knew why then it would help her stop the feeling.
Fiona fell asleep thinking about it.
