Chapter fourteen

LOTUS'S POV
I wake up and get ready for work,I look at my bump in the mirror, I'm now six months pregnant.
Edward and I have been dating for three months now and the relationship between Luciano and I has been rocky, it's even weird that Liam calls him dad. But he'll grow out of it.
Luciano ignores me and we only talk if it's work related,but I don't know why he's mad when he went and slept with Giovanna.
The hormones ain't helping either, whenever I see him I just want a piece of the Italian Adonis, Edward isn't helpful whenever I make a move on him he says it just doesn't feel right. I can't help it, I'm pregnant and horny. I'm tired of the dreams I have of Luciano.
I'm still upset he slept with Giovanna a few days ago but I know I have no right to.
I get ready and make my way down stairs.
"Are you ready to learn the gender of your baby",my mom literally sings. I smile and take a bite of my waffles.
"Yes mom, I'm so excited", I say.
"Liam and I hope it's a boy",Enzo says.
" I have a feeling it's a girl", Katherine and my mom say at the same time.
I just laugh as they start arguing. We drop Liam off and we drive to the clinic for my appointment.
"Are you excited, mommy?",Enzo says imitating Liam.
" Yes I am and you're not helping",I say.
" Today is an awesome day, you know the gender of your baby and I'm opening my new club",he says excitedly.
" But who's going to be my driver? '',I fake a pout.
We laugh and pull up. I make my way to the receptionist and she tells me my doctor is waiting. I changed doctors, something about Edward can not date a patient.
My new doctor Carolyn is a kind and amazing soul."so Miss Biltran are you ready to know the gender of your baby?". She tells me to lay down and she brings out the machine she applies the cold gel on my tummy. "So there's your baby you can hear the heartbeat and the gender of your baby is...…..................",she pauses.
" Oh come on Carolyn, tell me already,I grab her by the collar and shake her a little" she laughs and rolls her eyes.
" You're having a girl congrats"she says and a few tears drop from my eyes because I knew I was having a girl, I've been buying pink clothes like crazy.
I say my goodbyes and I excitedly run into Enzo's arms
"Woah baby momma relax",I roll my eyes at him" I'm having a girl Enzo, I'm so happy",his eyes go wide and he kisses my forehead.
We drive to work and I just want to share the news with everyone. I reach the lobby and the guard, Nico offers me pink Rose's,I kiss his cheek and kiss his cheek. "How did you know?",I ask and he says Enzo texted him. And now he owes him money.
I make my way to my office and I find Rose's, balloons and a pile of f gifts all in pink and all my workmates. They all offer me gifts for my baby and I'm not going to buy anything more because they have practically everything I need ,they even got me a crib. We all have a little celebration and Enzo and Nico later join in. My parents and Liam later come as well. The only person missing is Edward.
I got off the phone with Edward,he told me he didn't know about any party, I'm sure Luciano made sure to not invite him.
I turn and bump into Luciano"hey thank you so much for the party,I really appreciate",I say and put a lock of hair behind my ear.
"It's nothing, it's the least I could do after acting cold towards you",he says shyly smiling at me,I hug him at first he stays frozen and later wraps his arms around me.
I feel at home and like this is where I should be,I inhale his scent and I wish we could be more than friends. I wish things were different between us why can't he just tell me how he feels about me. I know you think if I like him why not make the first move. Maybe I'm scared that he'll reject me or we'll end up like Nick and I.i loved Nick so much I gave my all but now I want a man to love me instead and give me his all.
We break apart when Giovanna clears her throat and says it's time to cut the cake and everybody is waiting for us.
I cut the cake and because it's my special day everyone gets a day off.
We go home and everyone helps out away the gifts,we are going to paint half of Liam's room pink with some butterflies, Luciano and I keep staring a glance at each other and I keep blushing,he really is a great guy especially with Liam he has been at every event at Liam's school and I really appreciate it.
After we finish up we have brunch and play in the pool. I wore my white bikini with little sunflowers on it. And the way Luciano stops his drink midway makes me blush and does things to my body. And just then Liam and Enzo attack me with their water guns. I scream and fall in the pool.
They burst out laughing and I drag them in with me. We spend the rest of the day having fun and taking some family photos.
The day goes by and the next day at work we start preparations for the Annual wine tasting Gala and rich people from all over the world will come and attend. Our winery has been working on a new wine that will be introduced.
I can't wait to attend it, and see the new wine. No one except my dad and Luciano have tasted and seen it.
It's in two weeks but there's so much to do Liam and I need to go for a dress fitting with Versace. I'm sure everyone will be shocked to see the person assistant in an expensive designer dress.
No one knows apart from those close to the family that I'm the former Mrs Lunchester,and even though I've chosen to work as a personal assistant, I'm almost as rich as their Boss .
"Who are you going to attend the Gala with", Luciano asks me as we walk out of the conference room.
"Edward,I heard you're going with Giovanna again this year",I say as he opens the door to his office for me.
"Yeah I am",he says and scratches his neck and we just stand there and the silence stretches on.
I collect my things and make my way down to the lobby we're done for today.
I find Enzo waiting for me as usual flirting with the receptionist. Even after opening his own nightclub he insists on driving me around.
"Where to bella signora?", He asks me as he starts the ignition.
"First we pick Liam from school and then we have a dress fitting at Versace, who are you going with to the Gala anyway?",I ask.
" I'm thinking of going with Carolyn but you know lotus tuxedos ain't for me , I'm not as polish as Luciano",he says.
" Nonsense will get you a tux as well,have you seen yourself you'll look scrumptious",I say and he shakes his head and laughs.
We pick Liam up and head to Versace.
Immediately we reach Liam runs out and rushes for Donatella Versace. Liam and her have a very interesting friendship. It's really cute.
"Lotus my dear,how have you been?",she hugs me and kisses both my cheeks.
"I've been good Donatella,I hope you have something beautiful for me and you know I want to always be the only one with it",I say and we chuckle as we enter the store.
"Of course dear but it will cost you heavy as always",she jokes. " You know me I'm willing to spend anything on a dress",we laugh and her assistant offers us refreshments.
She hands me three beautiful dresses that take my breath away,she made them to compliment my pregnancy.
I tried on the first dress which is black and laced with gold. It's mostly lace and is so bold. I model it for them and Enzo covers Liam's eyes,I laugh and try on the other one which is golden blue and which has a flared skirt and I feel like a princess. I try on the last one which is black and is all shimmery,it is backless and has a long slit that lets all my left leg out and it hugs my baby bump just right,I model it for them and Enzo chokes on his champagne.
Someone takes pictures and the dress will be available for others to buy a month after I've worn it. Liam and I will be matching and he also tries on his suits. Donatella finds something for Enzo as well and everything costs me about $800,000.
