Blood:

The enemy army attacked at dawn.
Alessios had warned them, as he had been able to hear the thunderous coming and going of the enemy preparing. The women in the pavilion had been combat-ready, having exchanged their heavy, luxurious gowns weeks ago for men's clothing, much lighter and more practical for battle.
They had agreed to keep surrounding his tent, as Sarab was not allowed to use her gift and had therefore been convinced to stay inside it.
Alessios fought on the front lines, having chosen to maintain his animal form. The havoc he wreaked on the enemy was countless, with claws and teeth he killed left and right. It crushed heads, pulled out intestines, ripped out throats, and devoured the rebels.
The captains of the golden army who had remained faithful fought on horseback, slaughtering enemies in their path.
After the first wave of assault, the white snow-covered field had been dyed red, as were the claws and terrible jaws of the great wolf.
However, after the next two waves, the enemy opened a breach in the defensive lines, managing to penetrate the camp.
"Stay here, Cítiê," Umara ordered hastily, mounting the horse after Burya. "Your gifts are more defensive than attack, create a barrier around the tent and don't let it fall until we return."
"If they come back," Sarab commented discouraged.
"We will," Umara answered firmly. "Cassandra has no idea what awaits her."
They galloped off, quickly dealing with the insurgents who had slipped into the camp. In moments, Burya began to throw lightning bolts and sparks at them, striking them down on the spot and causing most of them to drop dead, for his part, Zai launched large balls of fire from his hands, calcining the enemies, those who managed to escape fled in terror, crying out with a loud voice for mercy.

The four women shed their mounts, and Umara noticed multiple tracks leading even deeper between the tents of the camp.
"Come with me, Umara," Mem hurried her. "Apparently, an advance party of the enemy has sneaked into the camp and this is dangerous. They could ambush us or…
When he didn't finish his sentence, large columns of smoke began to rise inside the camp.
"They've set fire to the tents!" Burya yelled. "Will Cítiê and Sarab be okay?"
I don't know, but we're going to find out. You stay here, protecting this breach.- she said addressing Burya and Zai.- we will continue forward.
Saying this, she and Mem each mounted a steed and set off at great speed among the burning tents. Taking a detour, they found a large number of their soldiers dead, advancing through so much smoke made it difficult for them since it clouded their views and caused them to cough every minute.
Finally, they reached the tent of the moons, they found it charred and reduced to ashes.
"No!" Mem lamented. "What happened, Umara?" Where are Sarab and Cítiê?
´´I do not know but.´´
She didn't get to finish the sentence, a cry for help interrupted her, looking quickly at each other they understood that the call for help came from the forest and urging their mounts they surpassed the wide trench of sharpened stakes that separated the forest from the camp. After riding blindly for a couple of minutes, they reached the clearing where they had practiced to better master their gifts and were greeted by a terrible vision.
Around twenty men had created a lathe for Cítiê and Sarab, the former lay unconscious on the ground while the rebels amused themselves by pushing Sarab between them and causing small cuts on her body, making her bleed.
Umara was enraged. Never in her life had she hated someone as she was hating these men now.
Throwing a quick glance at Mem, she understood, and dismounting from her mount, she crouched on the ground.
"Everyone?" asked the ice twin.
"Take care not to hurt the girls, and leave only one of them." Umara bellowed.
Instantly, from the very white snow that covered the entire ground on which those terrible human beasts stood, monstrous and sharp stalagmites sprouted, drenching most of them instantly.
The one of them that remained alive uttered a terrified cry and ran away, seeking the protection of the trees. In moments, the stalagmites disappeared, causing the twenty corpses to fall to the ground.
"What do you want it for?" Mem whispered, as she and Umara quickly approached the fainting Sarab, who saw them arrive with tears in her eyes.
´´We haven't faced Cassandra's viper yet, maybe this pig can give us information on where it's hiding.´´
´´ Agreed.´´ Mem murmured, making ice sprout from the snow and freezing the fleeing rebel, from the waist down, making it impossible for him to escape.
Umara knelt next to Cítiê, checking that she was still alive.
"What happened?" Mem asked Sarab.
´´Cítiê's gift protected us from enemies, but not from the smoke from the burning tents, we tried to stay as long as possible inside the tent but the smoke began to choke us, we had to get out and ran here, however Cítiê fainted. I think she inhaled too much smoke and while I was trying to drag her away those men found us.
Umara slowly passed her hand a few centimeters over Cítiê's chest, from bottom to top, and a thick black cloud began to sprout, coming out of the little woman's mouth. She coughed a few times and sat up, sitting on the cold snow.
"What happened? Where am I?" What… - Cítiê's eyes widened in horror as she contemplated the bleeding Sarab.
´´I'll be fine, don't worry…according to what they told me, they were performing the ceremony of a thousand cuts on me. It is assumed that I would bleed to death when receiving that number of wounds, however they only managed to inflict a few on me...- he grimaced in pain.-thirty.
Umara approached her, and began to slowly close each of her cuts.
"I'm convinced there won't even be a mark left," Cítiê whispered hopefully, while Sarab twisted her face every time one of her wounds began to close.
