His manly scent
If I didn't say yes, then this time next week I could be underneath some old man who would make my skin crawl. And I would very much rather be under Aleksander's body. The realization of that thought made me gnaw on my bottom lip and look away from him again. I felt too warm in my own skin around him.
"I'm serious, Rhea. I might not particularly like taking you in this way, but if this is what I must do to have you I'm going to do it. I just want to make sure you accept it."
"Yes, Aleksander," I inhaled deeply. "I will agree to an exclusive contract with you. You will have to work around my schedule with the ballet, of course. That always comes first."
"Aleksander's eyes lit up even though his face didn't flinch . There was something burning in that gaze and the way he gobbled me up with his eyes had shivers curl up my spine. A slow smile pulled at the corner of his mouth.
"I can work with that," He stood up from his seat and began to walk around the table. "I'll reach out to Dax and work out the details then. I will have some of my own terms to work in", He stopped at my side and kneeled on one knee, then he propped his elbow on the table. Even like this he was so tall we were now eye level. His face was so close and I stopped breathing.
"Your own terms?" I piped up.
"Yes," His hand reached out and I tensed. One finger brushed my hair out of my face and behind my ear. "We can work out the details later, but I'm afraid right now I have to go."
"Oh." I wanted to slap myself for not saying more.
"I have an appointment with my massage therapist today, and then I will see my trainer and dietician afterwards. But I'm going to contact Dax today." It was nearly imperceptible, but Aleksander seemed to shiver when his thumb caressed my cheek. "I already want to see you again."
"You're seeing me now," I stated with a voice far breathier than I meant it to be. Without realizing it, our faces were getting closer and with each second that passed the gap between us closed. "You have a busy Sunday ahead of you."
"I am seeing you now, and if I didn't have these other appointments planned, I would stay here." I felt his breath fan my face as he spoke. A second later his lips were on mine. It was a soft kiss, just a hint of what I knew he was capable of, but it made my core flutter with a new wave of yearning.
"Damn," He sighed as he pulled away with a slight frown pulling his full lips down. I closed my eyes when he pressed his forehead to mine. The heat of his body and the manly smell of him filled my senses and I unwillingly shuddered.
He rose without another word and I was left partially stunned in my seat. My eyes followed his movement as he grabbed his few belongings and tossed his suit jacket over his shoulder. Every movement he made showed off the muscle under the rich fabric of his clothing and my mind wouldn't stop wandering to the things he had done to me this morning.
He caught my stare and my head whipped around to avoid his gaze. I didn't want Aleksander to catch me staring at him the way I was. The ever present smirk on his lips told me he noticed.
"I will see you again Rhea. Very soon, I promise," he stated.
"Alright," I replied, unsure of what else to say. It was quite intimidating to have a man like Aleksander stare at you with those ravenous dark eyes and make wicked promises.
Then he left me alone in the suite. My face twisted with confusion as I wondered how I went from trying to escape from Aleksander to being the first one to leave. And in that time, he proposed an exclusive contract with his own terms. The thought of what those terms might be made me shiver and my stomach rolled over it self.
"A massage, a trainer and a dietician all on Sunday?" I scoffed to myself. "Who is this man?" I forced myself to think of anything but what an extended contract with Aleksander entail. In trying to do so I realized more and more than I would be spending time with a man I didn't know.
Who was Aleksander Makalov? And why did his name ring a bell in the back of my mind?
Now alone, I finally managed to finish the breakfast Aleksander had ordered during my shower. After that, I didn't want to spend another minute by myself in this suite. Not when there were memories with other strangers here and I certainly didn't want those rearing their ugly heads in my mind.
When I grabbed my things to leave, I cast one last look over my shoulder at the ridiculously massive bouquet from Aleksander. There was no way I could get it back to my apartment, but I couldn't stop myself from lingering at it . Something told me to grab the prettiest flower and I did. Plucking a pink rose from the bouquet I gently pressed it in my purse with a soft smile on my face. Then I left the hotel to face the early morning breeze.
The smile on my face died when I got outside and joined the bustling New York crowds on the street. Every part of my body was in pain. Aches and tension wracked my body and all I wanted was to get home and go back to sleep.
Dancing full time was already so demanding, I wasn't sure how I would keep up with Aleksander in my spare time. Six to seven hours a day of training six days a week with three hour performances three days took up so much of my time.
