Chapter 37 Final judgement

Naomi made her appeal for another trial. Hannah cannot get everything that belonged to Charmaine and her. They will make her life miserable.

The courtroom buzzed with anticipation. After weeks of legal battles, evidence, and carefully guarded secrets, the air was thick with the weight of truth.

Hannah sat quietly beside her lawyer, her heart pounding but her composure holding firm. Across the room, Naomi and Charmaine fidgeted uncomfortably, knowing the tide was turning against them.

The judge’s gavel silenced the murmurs.

Judge:

“Ms. Balsam, there is additional evidence and testimony to discuss. Counsel?”

The lawyer stepped forward, clutching a sealed envelope. He looked directly at Hannah, then at the courtroom.

Lawyer:

“Your Honor, I request permission to reveal Hannah Balsam Wright true identity, and show her capability of raising her children with ease. She is the tycoon Samuel Balsam’s granddaughter and the heiress Samantha. She owns several companies worldwide. She is the English Boss Rose.

A gasp rippled through the courtroom.

The judge’s gaze hardened. “Proceed.”

The Unveiling

The lawyer pulled out a thick file and handed it to the judge. He began reading aloud:

Lawyer, “This is a confidential report drawn from the Balsam estate, last month’s estate audit, and verified testimony from estate officials. In summary: Hannah Carter is the granddaughter of Samuel Balsam, the renowned philanthropist and business magnate. Her father was Samuel’s only child, who tragically passed away, leaving her an orphan. With no family and through her marriage she is now the wife of CEO Darrian Wright.”

He paused for effect, then continued:

Lawyer, “Until this point, Hannah has kept her identity concealed for her safety. Her biological inheritance includes controlling shares of Balsam Industries, and a multinational conglomerate. She is and has always been the rightful heiress.” There is much jealousy and hate for Hannah by Ms. Waverly -Balsam but Hannah has shown enough mother love for her three children and would never harm her child.

The courtroom was silent, everyone processing the revelation. Hannah looked downward, tears brimming, she’d kept this secret for years, a core part of her identity she had tried to shield.

From the back of the courtroom, a distinguished man in his early 70s, Martin Wright, the patriarch of the family and Darrian’s grandfather, slowly pushed himself to his feet.

His eyes, sharp and tender, met Hannah’s.

Martin, “Your Honor, I wish to speak.”

He moved toward the front, his voice steady but emotional:

Martin, “I’ve known Hannah for some time now, secretly, trying to protect her from those who wish her harm. In my heart, she is the granddaughter of my best friend Sam balsam. She is now married to my grandson. This court deserves to know this truth. Samuel’s blood runs in her veins, and her integrity and strength prove she’s worthy of her heritage.”

He paused, voice thickening. “My grandson is in the audience. She is kind, gentle and a great role model. She handles her children with care and patience. She may be busy but she has a competent nanny who takes care of her children. My grandson and I co-parent with her. She deserves to be acknowledged as Ethan’s mother. She gave birth to him. As for those two women they manipulated me into believing that Charmaine is Ethan’s mother.

A hush fell. Hannah looked at him, tears rolling freely now. She was overwhelmed by the warmth, acceptance, and hope in his words.

Naomi’s face twisted in fury. “This is manipulation,” she sneered. “Hannah has been hiding her true motives all along.”

Charmaine, trembling, looked at her mother, uncertain, torn between loyalty and doubt.

The judge banged his gavel. “Order! The court will consider this information carefully. The court appreciates the integrity of Mr. Wright’s statement.”

Ethan reached up and held her hand tightly.

Hannah’s voice broke with emotion. “Yes, sweetheart. I am. I’ve always loved you, no matter what anyone says. And now, everyone knows I’m your mother.” Ethan looked into her eyes, sensing the sincerity and love. Slowly, he nodded.

Martin, teary-eyed, opened his arms as Hannah gently lifted Ethan into a hug. Darrian completed the circle of love. They stood as a family, a testament to perseverance, love, and truth.

The Judge asked the Jury for their verdict.

The Bailiff asked Naomi to stand.

The ruling of the court specified she is sentenced to house arrest and community service in a children’s home for three years. Lastly she has a permanent restraining order to not go anywhere near Ethan.

Naomi, realizing her plans are crumbling, hissed under her breath, while Charmaine clenched her fists in quiet frustration.

But for Hannah,a new chapter was beginning. Her true identity was finally recognized, her family was uniting, and the love she fought so hard to protect was more visible than ever.

That night she and Darrian had a long conversation about how to keep Charmaine and Naomi away from Ethan and his siblings.
