Chapter 39 A Revelation for Ryan

Chapter 38

The next morning they showered and headed back home to have breakfast with the kids. They dropped off the triplets to school and they went to work.

At The Wright  estate garden, late afternoon. Golden sunlight filters through lush trees, casting a warm glow over the sprawling estate. The air is filled with gentle sounds: birds singing, leaves rustling, and the faint laughter of children. The entire family has gathered to celebrate Hannah’s legal victory and her true identity finally being recognized.

Hannah sits on a bench, Ethan happily cuddles against her, clutching his favorite stuffed animal. Darrian sat on her other side. Nearby, Martin stands beside her, proud and relieved. The other two children, Rebecca, Ryan, complete the family.

In the middle of this peace, Darrian approaches. He takes Hannah’s hand gently, looking at her and then at the children.

Darrian,  “Hannah,  I’ve waited so long to say this. For us to be a complete family. Whatever the past, I want us  to move forward and not dwell on the past.

Hannah’s eyes shimmer with tears. She pulls him into a warm embrace.

Hannah:

“Oh, Darrian. We’ve had so much pain, and in the end, it brought us here. Our son now accepts me as his true mother and legally he is now mine.

Martin joins, placing a reassuring hand on Darrian’s shoulder.

The children giggle and clamor around, drawing closer. Ethan looks up at Darrian, eyes shining. He said, “Daddy.  Rebecca and Ryan came in for a hug.

Then the  triplets rush off, giggling and chasing each other. Darrian pulls Hanah into a gentle hug, she feels that warm fuzzy feeling of love in her life that no one could replace or steal. Hannah watches the scene, the pure innocence of her children, and the unconditional love they give and feels thankful.

Hannah calls out to Ryan. She realized that she needed Ryan to know about his biological mother. If he decides to want this family, she would be happy but if he decided to go to his real grandparents she would have to let him go.

Hannah gently pulls Ryan aside, sitting with him on a soft patch of grass beneath the trees.

Hannah: “Sweetheart, I have something special to tell you. You do not look like Rebecca and Ethan right. Ryan nodded.

Your real mom was my best friend but she died when you were born. She asked me to be your mom and my son would you like to go to your mother’s family. Ryan clung to Hannah and said sweetly. You are my Mama and I want to stay with you, Becca, Ethan and Daddy.  She said if you ever feel you want to see your other family you must tell Mommy.

Ryan nods, looking up at her with wide eyes.” Ryan’s brow furrows. “Did she die?”

Hannah takes a deep breath, voice trembling with emotion.

Hannah:  “Yes, sweetheart. She passed away giving birth to you, Ryan.  You were so precious to her, and she loved you very much. When she died, I promised to keep you safe and loved, so I adopted you, and you’re now my son in every way that matters.”

Ryan looks at her, silent for a moment, then softly reaches out and touches her face.

Ryan,  “Mommy, I miss her. Was she happy to meet me?”

Hannah chokes back tears, smiling warmly. Hannah, “Yes, honey. She was so happy. And I know she’s watching over us, proud, knowing you’re safe and loved.” Ryan nods, clutching her hand tightly, a tear slipping down his cheek. Ryan, “I love you, Mommy.” Hannah,  “I love you more than anything in the world.”

As the sun sets, the family gathers on the patio for a simple, heartfelt dinner. Darrian takes Hannah’s hand, glancing at Martin.

Darrian, “Today feels like the start of something new. I’m so grateful—for the truth, for family, for love. And I promise—I’ll do everything I can to protect and cherish all of you.” Hannah squeezes his hand, her eyes shining. Hannah:  “Me too, Darrian. We’re stronger now—together.” Martin raises his glass. “To family—born and chosen. To truth, love, and new beginnings.”

The family cheers as the stars come out, their hearts opening anew. The past may have been filled with pain, but the future holds promise, full of hope and family ties that cannot be broken.

That night promised to be another night full of passion.
