Chapter 69
Isabella’s Pov
Levi carried me out of the car bridal style, holding me effortlessly as he closed the door behind us. After which he set me down and gently removed my blindfold. My vision was blurry at first—a hazy mix of darkness. When I regained my sight, I blinked against the sudden brightness filtering through the dense canopy of trees while taking in the breathtaking scene before me—a grand duplex, its sleek modern architecture standing in an untamed forest like one of those beautiful houses you see on the internet in the middle of nowhere, where one can have a bit of solitude.
The structure was sleek and elegant, with towering floor-to-ceiling glass walls that offered a glimpse into its sophisticated interior. I could see the plush white chairs arranged meticulously in the living room, and a grand fireplace. A grand piano stood upstairs in what seemed to be a bedroom, its black lacquered surface gleaming under the soft lighting. The house exuded both luxury and serenity, and it felt surreal.
I barely had time to process it all before I felt Levi’s warm fingers intertwining with mine. His grip was possessive, “Come with me, darling,” he murmured, his voice sweeter than honey.
I nodded, still breathless, and allowed him to guide me toward the entrance. As we stepped inside, the soft hum of motion-activated lights illuminated the space, casting a golden glow across the sleek marble floors. The air was crisp, causing me to lean closer to Levi.
The instant we crossed the threshold, a sharp pop echoed through the foyer, followed by the sudden effervescence of champagne bursting from its bottle which startled me. However, Levi was laughing he seemed to have expected it. His laughter was full and rich making my pulsating heart calm down.
“What a nice surprise, Leroy,” he remarked, his expression one of genuine amusement.
“Just trying to set the mood, sir.”
Levi shook his head then turned to me. “Isabella, meet Leroy my House Keeper.”
Leroy, gave a small bow, a smirk playing on his lips. “My pleasure.” His voice was smooth, edged with playful defiance.
I nodded, giving him a small smile as I studied him for a moment—he was young most likely in huis mid-twenties his sharp jawline, the crisp white shirt tucked neatly into tailored black pants, and the perfectly knotted bow tie. His polished appearance, suggested he was more than just a housekeeper. There was a knowing look in his eyes, as if he already understood the dynamic between Levi and me. I had never thought Levi had time for friends, given his demanding lifestyle. Maybe this man was something close to that.
Leroy shook the champagne again and some of the frothy liquid splashed onto my cheek, cool against my flushed skin. I let out a surprised giggle, my tongue darting out instinctively to taste the sweetness that lingered on my lips.
“That’s enough, Leroy. I believe the mood is already set.” Levi warned, through a chuckle
“Whatever you say, boss.”
"Do you come here often, sir?" I asked, turning to Evren, still overwhelmed by everything that had happened tonight. It felt like my life was going from zero to hundred real quick, and I was terrified that it was too good—like any moment now, I’d be sent into a sudden, brutal descent. Yet, I managed a small smile despite my racing heart.
Levi left my hands, bringing his own to my waist, his grip tightening just slightly—possessive, deliberate. His smile never faltered.
"Not as often as I should," he admitted, his tone laced with quiet reverence, as though this place held memories, secrets I had yet to uncover.
I glanced around again, taking in beauty of the living room. I could tell he loved this place and he was willing to share it with me.
A thrill ran down my spine. What was I becoming to him?
“Sir… what about work tomorrow? This place is pretty far from the city.”
Levi’s eyes lit up with mischief. “You just had my cock in your mouth; maybe it's time you dropped the title.”
Heat rushed to my cheeks, my breath catching at his words. I turned away shyly, glancing toward where Leroy had been standing, suddenly worried he might have heard. But when I looked back, he was gone.
“What do I call you then?” I asked, my voice softer now.
Levi shook his head, his lips curling into a smirk as if he was holding back a secret. I was so interested in whatever he was thinking about now.
“A dollar for your thought.”
He snickered. “You do know who you’re talking to?” he asked.
“Shit.” I said, with fake realization causing us to both.
Levi has laughed today more than I have seen him laugh in all the months I’ve been working for him, combined.
“Come with me.” He said taking my hand again and leading me up the sleek, floating staircase to the second floor.
I wanted to say anything for you master but I bit my tongue. It was bad enough that I was cheating on Mr. L.
The room at the top was even more breathtaking in person than it had appeared from the outside. Expansive glass walls framed the vast night sky, with distant city lights twinkling below. At the heart of the lush greenery lay a tranquil lake, its surface shimmering under the moonlight.
The bed was massive, dressed in luxurious white linen, but what caught my attention was the sexy red dress laid out atop it.
Levi let go of my hand, nodding toward it. “I’m going to freshen up in the guest room. The bathroom is over there. When you’re done, meet me in the garden.”
Before I could reply, he leaned in, pressing a lingering kiss to my cheek. Then, in a move that sent an unexpected shiver racing down my spine, his tongue flicked over the very spot where I had licked the champagne earlier. The sensation was electric, leaving my skin tingling even as he pulled away and disappeared down the hall.
I exhaled shakily, pressing my fingers to the place where his lips had been.
Slipping off my dress, I eased into the tub in the beautiful bathroom, sighing as the heat wrapped around me—reminding me of everything Levi had done to me in the car. The temptation to touch myself at the memory was almost unbearable.
After my bath, I stood before the mirror, my fingers skimming over the gown as its fabric shimmered subtly under the lights. When I slipped it on, it clung to my body in all the right places; its low neckline revealed just enough cleavage, and my nipples peeked through. I knew Levi was going to love it and the thought of him losing his mind over my tits made me feel hot.
Luckily, I always carried an extra pair of pants in my bag—a habit of mine. I gathered my hair, pulled out the makeup from my bag, and applied a bold red lipstick. I think I looked good now. I swallowed hard, smoothing my hands over my hair as I tried to steady the nervous energy building inside me.
Barefoot and brimming with anticipation, I pushed open the door to the garden—and the sight stole my breath away.
Bathed in the soft glow of twilight, roses in every shade imaginable stretched before me. Their dewy, fragrant petals shaped a heart, and just beyond, in delicate blooms, two words stood out: MARRY ME.
Levi was on his knees.
“Will you be my wife, Isabella? My PR manager, my sub, my Bella—for the rest of your life?”
His words knocked the air from my lungs. What the hell? My heart pounded, my vision swam with dizziness.
I opened my mouth, but my throat went dry as realization crashed into me.
"You’re… Mr. L," I whispered, my head spinning. "Why did you lie to me?"
