15.1 - Levi Ending
My mind was made up. I slid off my bed, dumping Noah’s file in the trash.
Noah had been a great boss and a good friend to me. But the truth was, I missed Levi. I missed his stupid insults, his sneaky way of trying to help me and of course, he made me come alive in a way I could never let go of.
I wanted him back.
What was it he’d said to me?
*‘Just remember the first time we met.’*
The first time we’d met had been in an alley close to a bar I often went to. Was that where I’d find him? It seemed weird, but it was worth a shot.
I pulled on a coat and grabbed my purse, rushing out of there. I caught a bus, watching as the sun went down.
By the time I got to the alley, it was dark.
For a moment, I hesitated, looking around. An evening mist hugged the streets. A homeless guy was sleeping on a bench nearby. Streetlights buzzed to life, drawing clusters of insects.
I wandered into the alley, making sure to keep my wits about me. Taking in my surroundings, I couldn’t help but be reminded of all the things Levi had done to me that night. The pleasure he’d made me feel had been almost too much to take...and he didn’t even penetrate me that time.
I thought I heard a noise up ahead, and it made me stop in my tracks.
I waited, letting my eyes adjust to the gaping shadows. Then, I saw something that made my jaw drop.
“Xan?”
Xan was standing, completely naked, entering a young, pretty-faced man from behind, one hand clutching the man’s hair.
“Oh! Olivia, hey!” he answered cheerily.
“Uh…” I held up a hand, shielding my eyes.
“Whoa, no need to be embarrassed. I was just…” Xan removed himself, and the young man slumped against the wall. His face was dazed, like he wasn’t quite sure where he was. “...well, I was just enjoying young Vincent here.”
“What’s wrong with him?”
“Him? He’s fine.”
“He doesn’t look fine.”
“It’ll wear off.”
“Wear off?” That was familiar. “Wait a minute. You’re mind-controlling him?”
Xan turned to face me, and I grimaced at his utter lack of shame. “Well, yeah, that’s what we do, Olivia. I’m sure Levi would have done the same to you if he could have.”
“At first, I guess. But...”
“But what?”
“He’s different now.”
“What?” Xan gave me an incredulous look. “You seriously think he cares about you or something? You know that’s impossible, right?”
“Then why did he ask me to come see him?”
Xan stared at me, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he considered this. “I don’t know,” he said stiffly. He looked me over for a moment, the smile coming back to his face. “You know, you look really nice today.”
“Oh. Uh, thanks, I guess.”
“Doesn’t she look nice, Vincent?” he asked the young man, but Vincent just stood there, mute and staring at nothing. It was unnerving, actually.
“Tsk,” Xan went. “Where are your manners, Vincent? Go say hello to Olivia.”
“Wait, what??” I exclaimed as Vincent lunged towards me. To my horror, he grabbed me, pinning me to the ground. “W-what is he doing??” .
“What men like doing to women,” Xan answered like it was obvious, standing over us with a vile grin on his face. He squinted at Vincent, who then tore my shirt open, all while his eyes remained in that glassy gaze.
*He doesn’t even know what he’s doing!*
“Xan!” I cried out in a panic, trying feebly to cover myself up.
“It’d be better not to struggle, Olivia,” Xan sang. “Why not just accept your place?”
“My place??” I tried to push Vincent off me, but he was too strong.
Meanwhile, Xan knelt down above me, firmly holding my wrists. That allowed Vincent to push my skirt up. He yanked my underwear off, grabbing one ankle with each hand and parting my legs.
“No! L-Levi! Help me!”
“You really think you matter that much to him?” Xan leaned down to whisper in my ear.
Suddenly, Xan was pulled roughly to his feet by someone, and I heard a voice growl, “I don’t know...what do you think??”
With the break in Xan’s concentration, Vincent froze, while I sucked in a breath. “Levi?”
Sure enough, there he was, his hand roughly clutching Xan’s hair as he stared him down.
“Levi! I-I was just - ”
Levi didn’t give him a chance to finish, sending a hard blow to his cheek.
“Argh!” Xan stumbled backwards into some boxes and other trash in a loud, pathetic display.
Levi glared down at him. “Call off your little pet. *Now*.”
“Y-yes, Levi.” Xan looked right at Vincent, and it was like breaking the surface of water. Vincent blinked, sitting up and looking around at us. “Huh??”
Levi pushed him off me, and I leapt up into his arms.
“Go home,” Levi told the man.
Looking scared and confused, Vincent took off down the alley. I turned to look at Xan, but he too, had disappeared.
I let out a big sigh, covering my face with both hands.
Levi waited a few moments before tipping up my chin so that my gaze met his. “Are you OK?” he asked.
“Yeah...I’m alright.”
“Don’t worry. You’re safe now. I’m taking you home, OK?”
“OK,” I said with a nod, clinging onto his shirt.
Later that night, Levi and I lay curled up in my bed, me lying on his chest as he caressed my hair. “I shouldn’t have left,” he sighed. “But I thought you might need some time.”
“Time for what?”
“Time to be sure. I can’t change what I am, Olivia. I’m always going to be an asshole, and I’m always going to have these needs...but who knows? Maybe a witch might be enough to satisfy me.”
“Wow, you sure know how to flatter a girl, don’t you?” I shifting, sitting up so that I could meet his eye. “How come you’re such a charmer with those women at work and with my mom, but when you’re with me, you’re a total jerk?”
“What I present to those woman and your mother - that’s not the real me. This is.”
“Lucky me, I guess.”
“Yeah. You have no idea…” He swept my long hair away, sucking one of my nipples and making it taut in his mouth. At the same time, his hand roved under the blankets, meeting my clit and stroking fervently.
I leaned my head back, moaning softly.
A moment later, Levi leaned back, smiling up at me. “I’m hard again.”
“God, you’re really putting me to work, aren’t you?”
“You knew what you were getting into, Olivia. Now, hurry up and get on top. It’s time for you to do some of the work.”
“Why, you arrogant son of a - *hey*!” I pretended to protest as he dragged me into his lap. Taking a firm hold of my hips, he bounced me up and down while I kept steady with two hands on his broad, smooth chest.
The whole time, Levi never took his gaze off mine. The look in his eyes, amber and blue, were so different from the first time we’d met.
It wasn’t just about filling a desire anymore. This time, there was something else. Something warm and open, maybe even a little afraid at being confronted by feelings so new to him.
Afterwards, I lay in his arms, completely spent as he rubbed a hand up and down my back. “Go to sleep,” Levi whispered in my ear.
“You’re not going to go anywhere?”
“No.”
“You promise?”
“I promise. I’ll be right here when you wake up.”
I yawned, snuggling against his shoulder. “Will you make me breakfast?”
“I *am* breakfast,” he replied with a chuckle.
“Good God.”
He kissed my forehead tenderly, becoming serious again. “I’ll do it if you’re a good girl. Which you are. Guess this is what happens when a good girl meets a bad boy.”
“I guess so. Who would have thought, huh?”
“Goodnight, Olivia.”
“Goodnight,” I whispered, not hearing the words he said after that as I drifted off to sleep. But in my heart, I already knew.
