Chapter 20: A Sense of Home
“Here’s what we’ll do,” Amelia said, tightening the belt of her robe and sticking her long brown hair into a messy bun. “I’ll get the components for the spell prepared, and you, little Sylvie, fuel up on chocolate and wine.”
Silvana unwrapped a deliciously fragrant chocolate from the tray, then said, “I can agree to that.”
“Perfect,” Amelia said, marching off. “And Kurt, you can freshen up the wine glass of our guest.”
Kurt winked at Amelia, stood up and chimed, “And I can agree to that. Let’s do this.”
Amelia went to the garden outside and began collecting herbs and plants to be used in the spell. Kurt went to the kitchen and returned with a bottle of blood red wine. He popped the cork and poured Silvana a hefty glass.
“Thanks,” she said.
“You kidding me,” Kurt smirked. “You know you’re practically like my sister.”
Silvana hadn’t thought about how anything official would work with Bruce yet, but she knew that she’d stop at nothing until the wedding bells chimed and Bruce carried her down the aisle.
But for all her hesitation towards Kurt, he seemed to be pretty decent now that she was getting to know him.
“I guess you’ve got a point,” Silvana said with a relaxing gulp of wine. They clinked glasses and both smiled.
Kurt pointed to Silvana’s baggy flannel shirt. “That’s my brother’s, isn’t it?”
Silvana chuckled, suddenly feeling even warmer in Bruce’s shirt. “Yeah, it is. How could you tell?”
“Silvana, that shirt would fit around a mountain. Of course it’s Bruce’s,” Kurt teased. “Besides, it’s like a dress on you.”
Kurt laughed and sipped at his wine. “Bruce and I didn’t really see each other growing up, but now that I think about it, I don’t think I would’ve fit into those huge hand-me-downs from the big brute.”
Silvana and Kurt shared in laughter, and Kurt stood up, displaying how slim he was. “I mean, could you see me in those baggy shirts? I would’ve looked ridiculous!”
Silvana was getting that family feeling she felt at the masquerade ball. With the exception of Amelia, witches were so brutally serious, and that often made them seem cold. Maybe Amelia and Kurt were perfect for each other after all.
“Seriously,” Kurt continued, bringing a hand to his knees, “I was a half-pint growing up, shorter than you now, and I think the shirts would have fallen right here, like a long gown.”
“I don’t know,” Silvana joked playfully, “maybe you would’ve looked good in a dress!”
Kurt burst into laughter and wiped a joyful tear from his eye, “Yeah, I’m not too sure I would’ve wound up with Amelia if that was the case.”
He stared longingly at the door Amelia exited through.
“She’s a good girl,” Kurt said.
“She sure is,” Silvana agreed. Then, a wondrous thought infiltrated past her fears, and she imagined Amelia and Kurt, Bruce and herself all happy and peaceful in the cabin, sitting around a dinner table together, passing goblets of wine and forkfuls of food.
“You really make her happy,” Silvana said genuinely.
“Wait a minute,” Kurt said dramatically and with a jovial tone, “did you, the illustrious and magnificent Silvana Sparks, truly just compliment an urchin like myself.”
Silvana laughed and rolled her eyes, “Melodramatic, just like Amelia! Maybe you two are a good fit. And that’s the closest you’ll get to a compliment from me,” she said cheerfully.
Kurt nodded and said, “I’ll take it.”
They both sipped at their wine, and Silvana adjusted to get more comfortable in the armchair she was sitting in.
“Ow,” she muttered, gripping at some sharp tension in her neck.
“Hey, you alright?” Kurt asked.
“Yeah,” Silvana exhaled. “I just have got aches and pains from all the stress.”
“I get it,” Kurt said. “No offense, but you look like you could use a few hours of sleep.”
“Kurt, I haven’t slept in days, and I don’t plan on it until I find Bruce.”
“You’re a loyal one,” Kurt said.
Silvana rolled her neck and said, “Bruce would do the same for me.”
“Ah, shit,” she mumbled, as the pain intensified.
Kurt set his wine down. “Let me help with that. I’ve gotten pretty good at working out the kinks in Princess Amelia.”
Silvana laughed and said, “Princess Amelia is the perfect name. When we were teenagers, we would lay out in the sun all day for her birthday, then get foot massages at a spa, and pedicures—“
“And I’m sure the list goes on,” Kurt added.
“It sure does,” Silvana sighed, trying to keep joking with the man who would one day be her brother-in-law. But she was in too much discomfort to keep up the act. She got out of the armchair and stretched her back as much as she could by pressing her head to the cushion and grabbing the arms of the chair.
“Don’t be stubborn,” Kurt said, moving closer to her. He positioned himself behind Silvana’s outstretched rear. “Amelia wanted you to relax.”
Silvana exhaled, giving her best effort to stretch out the aching in her neck and back. She didn’t see Kurt get closer, but she felt his hands on her tight shoulders.
He whispered, “I do this for Amelia all the time. Don’t think anything of it.”
Something about Kurt’s hands on her body made her tense more, but Silvana figured that if Amelia trusted him, she should too. This could be just the thing to bring them closer as friends, and soon enough, she’d be calling him “brother.”
“Well, I guess if you don’t mind, my neck is killing me,” Silvana confessed, exiting her stretch and reclining face first on the chair’s seat.
Kurt inched his thighs closer to the back of Silvana’s legs, and he started to massage his hands against the back of her neck. He gently pushed her strawberry-blonde curls towards her cheek, and he firmly worked the knots of her neck with his strong fingers.
“Wow,” Silvana mumbled, “you really are good at this. Thanks, Kurt.”
Kurt moved himself even closer to Silvana. He was practically on top of her, and the more he rubbed her body, the more turned on he became. He kept his hips far enough away from Silvana to not poke her with his bulge, but the way she was laying on her knees, he wanted to take her just like that, from behind, and show her exactly what a real Alpha could do to her.
Silvana sighed with more relief. Her eyes were closed and Kurt continued to rub away the knots in her neck. “That was great, Kurt. I really appreciate it.”
Kurt thirstily whispered in her ear, “I’m not done yet, sis.”
He kneaded his hands along the slope of her back, making his way from the cusp of her shoulders and down to her lower back.
Exhausted and finally relaxed, Silvana dozed off, dreaming of the four of them together and happy, like one big family.
But Kurt had other fantasies in mind.
He sniffed the air and caught Amelia’s scent. She was still outside, and now Silvana was asleep.
He lifted Silvana’s flannel shirt up and dug his fingers masterfully into Silvana’s lower back. As he massaged, he could see the tail of Silvana’s pink thong poking out from her skintight black jeans.
At the sight of it, he rubbed his hard cock against her ass so lightly that she would never wake up, but with enough force to feel her warmth.
Whatever Bruce had felt for Silvana, Kurt now understood.
He slid her shirt up even further and traced his tongue across the freckles on her back. Kurt glided his nose across Silvana’s skin, taking in her scent. His dick pulsed and he put himself between her legs, and allowed each of his probing throbs to push against her pussy.
Then, overcome with sexual desire, Kurt got tougher with the massages. He thrusted at her harder, and he undid the clip of her bra.
Silvana was startled awake to the feeling of open air on her breasts.
“Kurt what the hell?!” she exclaimed, spinning around and slapping him in the face. She hadn’t felt his erection against her, but she’d been awake enough to know that he removed her bra. She was furious and embarrassed, and wanted to slap him a second time.
“Only Bruce touches me like that,” she said with fire in her eyes. She held her unclipped bra to her chest with an arm.
“I can’t believe you would do that,” Silvana said, purely disgusted. “After calling me your sister, and in front of my best friend.”
She looked at Kurt as if he were an insect wriggling in dirt.
He became entirely apologetic. “That was a complete accident,” he said. “I would never do something like that on purpose.”
Silvana ran to the bathroom.
Amelia came back inside, and Kurt grinned evilly, prepared to put on a convincing show.
