Chapter 42 - Unexpected Trip

**Serena**

I sat up and smiled as the other two arrived, they took some items from the cart and walked inside our little hideaway.

Garrett came over first and kissed me sweetly. I sighed in contentment.

Devon set a box on the table and came over next. He sat on the edge of the lounger and pulled me into his arms, crushing me to him before he too kissed me. He set me back so he could look at me. I must look a mess, hair mussed, sleepy eyes. But you couldn’t tell from his expression. He looked at me like I was the most beautiful thing in the world.

“We don’t like sleeping without you, so we were up early. I made pancakes, bacon and sausage. Garrett made the coffee,” Father said.

Garrett was pulling things from the box. Individually wrapped plates of food, syrup and a carafe of coffee. I could see the steam billowing off the items. I heard silverware clatter to the table and then Papa was pouring the coffee and putting in the creamer. He handed me the first cup and I moaned at how good it was.

All three men whipped their heads around to look at me and I blushed. Just one moan from me and I had every bit of their attention.

“Thank you, Papa. And Father, that looks delicious and will taste even better in this beautiful setting. All three of my daddies in attendance. Thank you all for yesterday and the time I got to spend with you individually. It was probably the best day I ever had in my entire life. I feel spoiled and loved.” I told them all.

Papa put syrup on my pancakes and handed me the first plate. I dipped my bacon in the syrup that ran over and took my first bite, careful not to moan again but it was so good. I let them know that as we all dug in and ate our breakfast.

I listened to the woods around us wake up with birdsong. The trees creaked a little with a light wind that was blowing. We laughed and had a lively conversation while we ate. When I was done with my plate, I had to kill the lighthearted mood.

“So, what do you know and how are we going to thwart your father?” I asked because I needed to know, and they needed to tell me.

Devon began. “We know that Lavinia and her father will be there, so we can guess who else he might have invited. Nina’s dad is at the top tier, if we were talking like a mafia type organization. Dad calls it a conglomerate. Many men with businesses, all connected, but seemingly separate. Of the five men that Dad trusts the most, two have daughters of marriageable age. Then the next level down, hard workers, earners, Dad would say, two more have daughters. We think that there will be at least five women to choose from. They have probably been told to woo us away from you and each other at the party. Either to cause dissension, or to turn our heads and choose another instead. We think this marriage deal Dad is going to present us with, will come with strings attached like money and power in the organization, which we have all disavowed. We want out from under his thumb and to stay that way.”

Daddy added, “I got word from my contact, and we can get married legally in Dubai. One of us must be a citizen, so that has been organized. And I paid off several government officials to get marriage licenses. They allow plural marriage there, but it usually a man that has multiple wives. A secure location has been arranged for the marriage and signing off of the marriage licenses. We fly out tonight. It’s a fifteen-hour flight so we will have just enough time to get there and back before the party.”

I was dumbfounded, my mouth gaped open. Three huge men got on their knees and said, in unison, “Will you marry us?”

Daddy presented me with a ring box which I took as I stared at all of their faces, so earnest, so loving.

“We picked out a ring and had it specially made for you. It represents all of us,” Papa said in a soft voice.

“Open the box, sweet girl,” Devon said.

With trembling hands, I opened the velvet ring box. In the plush fabric lay the most exquisite ring I have ever seen. Four thin gold bands swirled around each other. Each band had a different stone representing each of our birth stones.

I began to cry as Daddy took the box back and placed the ring on my finger.

“We need an answer Baby Girl. Will you be our wife? We promised to make you our Queen, the center of our universe. We will not lie or cheat. We just want to love you for the rest of our lives,” he promised.

“YES!!! Yes, yes, yes. Three times yes! I love you all and I’m blown away that we get to do this. I’ll have three husbands! All the ladies will be so jealous!” I squealed.

The guys rushed me en masse. Throwing their arms around me, hugging me and kissing me wherever they could reach. The whispered soothing words of love and devotion.

“Let’s go pack our bags and get back to the airport. We are flying to New York to catch a commercial flight that will take us directly there. Our personal plane is not equipped to do such long distances. It will be grueling, because we won’t be able to stop in order to get back in time.” Daddy directed.

We cleaned up our mess of food and headed back to the mansion. The next chapter of our lives was starting. The guy’s dad couldn’t do anything if his boys wee already married. I still think there will be trouble, but you can’t marry someone in the states unless you are already married, and we will be.

The flight to New York was uneventful. We arrived at the airport and waited about an hour for our commercial flight. The guys drifted around me, making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The took turns sitting next to me, so that I was surrounded by them and not the crowd around us.

Fifteen hours on an airplane wasn’t very fun but we made it to Dubai and were taken straight to the wedding venue. I hadn’t thought much about what I would wear, it was a rushed wedding so I brought one nice dress with me, but Daddy had other plans already in place.

I was taken into a dressing room where a gorgeous wedding dress with sparkling crystals sewn all over awaited me. There was a small train and a gauzy veil. As usual, Daddy thought of everything. Beautiful kitten heels that matched the dress were put on my feet as a wedding planner helped me get dressed. Hair and makeup had already been done.

It only took about an hour and then I was walking down the aisle.
