Chapter 23

"How can I believe?"

"You just have to believe because it's the only choice you have!" Prince Robin smiled softly. If it was his old self, Zavier would have trusted someone who had a smile so gentle and sincere like this. However, the current self couldn't do it that easily.

There were many things that happened in his life, especially after Zavier left and gave him a necklace with this mysterious, discolored gem. He didn't know what would have happened if he didn't wear this necklace. Will everything still happen or vice versa.

"I don't know what happened to you and why you came to this island. You know? our kingdom is on a small island, there are only two palaces and not many inhabitants. When compared to Lithonia, Vasilenia is very small. That means, there is nothing interesting on this small island. There are many beautiful hills and valleys, two mountains and there are many waterfalls that flow along with rivers whose water is very clear. I'm sure in Evangelia the scenery is much more amazing, right?"

"I don't know!"

"You don't know? why?"

"I rarely explore!"

"Is that so? too bad, isn't it? If Vasilenia was that wide, maybe my brothers and I would spend our time exploring various places. Climbing mountains, swimming in the sea, bathing in waterfalls, hunting and many other fun things. You are not that interested in hearing my story,"

"No! that's not it!"

"Is it true?"

"Yes!"

"All right, Zavier. I think you should rest more, eat a lot! you don't have to be afraid. See you later?" he said as he got up and left the room.

Meanwhile outside the room, Prince Nicholas, Matthew, Randall, Vincent and David are waiting for the results of their conversation.

"What are you doing here?"

"How did it go? tell me quickly!" Nicholas insisted.

"Did he finally tell you what happened to him, so he could get to this island?" asked Randall.

"Looks like we still have to be patient. He still hasn't told me anything, but from the way he speaks and the look on his face. I feel like he's going through a crisis of confidence!"

"A crisis of confidence? what does that mean?" asked Vincent.

"It usually happens when someone has lost faith in anything and and anyone due to trauma or because it has formed a long time ago in him. It makes him filled with suspicion about every action that other people do."

"Very good explanation, Matty!"

"But, how can we make him believe in us and tell us what happened?" asked David.

"We can only be patient and try to make him believe us!" said Robin.

"What if he still doesn't want to say it? We'll be in trouble!" said Vincent.

"Why do you find it difficult?" asked David.

"Of course! it could be bad if he still wants to stay here and doesn't want to come home!"

"If that happens, will you feel a loss?" asked David.

"Not really!" he replied giving up his argument.

"And like Mia said, he has very beautiful eye color."

"Is it true?"

"Yes, like a diamond!"

Sapphire Palace, Lithonia Kingdom

A tense atmosphere surrounds the Sapphire Palace, where the sudden return of Prince Samuel, Jia, Kenneth and the soldiers to carry and monitor Nathania while on Arthes Island.

The king stood still, hearing the news that was very shocking to him. His precious son fell and drowned in the sea, how could a human descendant of a god die from drowning? this made absolutely no sense to him as a human being gifted with a special power passed down from their ancestor for 2000 years.

"Falling into the sea during a storm? how did that happen? oh my God ...!" The Queen Mother cries hysterically at the shocking news.

Of the dozens of people on the ship, why it had to be Nathania who fell and why they couldn't save her? neither Samuel, Kenneth, Jia and several soldiers no one spoke. Their soul and body were too tired because they kept looking for Nathania's whereabouts for five days on the high seas.

Meanwhile Queen Alexandra was silent and thought that what happened was just a nightmare. Being too shocked, she couldn't even shout.

"How did he fall? Samuel, tell me! how did he fall into the sea?" King Roderick was furious and then judged Prince Samuel with questions that cornered him.

Samuel tried to stay calm. Because he believed that he was completely innocent of this tragedy. He had warned Nathania to stay in the cabin, but Nathania insisted on helping him.

"Your Majesty, it slipped when the ship was hit by the waves. The ship tilted made Prince Nathania lose his balance and fell. Because it happened too fast, I didn't have time to help him!"

"Lie...!" shouted Queen Alexandra, denying Prince Samuel's claim.

"Do you want to accuse Samuel of deliberately pushing Prince Nathan, do you think?" Valerie who did not accept it if her son was accused as a suspect, immediately defended her son.

"Do you guys think I'm that stupid? why did it have to be Nathan who drowned? of all the people on board, why should it be my son? why ...?" her emotions were unstoppable, after realizing that what was happening now was not a dream.

"Not that everything that happened was Prince Samuel's fault!"

"You ... you're still defending yourself! Are you satisfied now? I'm sure you've planned all this! Nathan ... my son! It's all your fault ...!" QueenAlexandra cried hysterically, her sad cry made everyone who heard her feel her sorrow.

"Nathan ... Nathan ...! give my son back! give him back!"

"Calm yourself down, Alexandra! he won't be that easy. He must be alive and at the moment he is somewhere!" said the King.

"That's right! a person with divine powers will not die that easily. Nathan is still alive, Neraidas will definitely save him!" The Queen Mother tries to convince everyone that Nathania will be fine and she is in a safe place.

"Very well! Commander Robinson, prepare the soldiers and crew to look for Nathan's whereabouts on the islands around Arthes Island! he must be there. Search and find him before the enemy finds him!"

"Ready, Your Majesty!"
