30. Reporting the Queenbee

JAY'S POV

I hummed softly as I guided my car into his car park just as a notification appeared on my phone's screen. I parked my car carefully and picked up my phone.

VICE CHANCELLOR'S SON, JOHNNY DAVIS HOSPITALIZED BY BANDITS. The headline stated.

Wow! What? Isn't that the guy that started the meme on Lucia? Seems like he was handsomely rewarded.

I clicked on the headline while stepping out of my car: Johnny Davis, a year four Medical student of Royal Empire University was attacked by bandits on his way back from school to his off campus apartment yesterday morning. Johnny is presently hospitalized due to the severe beatings he received from the bandits. Presently, investigations are still ongoing as a member of the bandits is already in police custody.

I chuckled with an eyeroll. The perpetrator is already obvious to the observers, 'Lucia's handwork'. I closed my car door and walked to the entrance of the mansion while pocketing my phone.

I walked into the mansion and a maid Immediately directed me upstairs to Mr Caden's office. I already informed him I was coming earlier. On reaching there, he was engaged in a heated conversation with his stubborn daughter. I stood just outside the open door, silently watching them.

"...How many times do I have to scold and correct you before you'll learn to listen to me, huh Luciana? Do you know what'll happen if it gets confirmed that you were the one who sent the bandits?!" Mr Caden yelled at the top of his voice, good thing he knows. The stupid girl just stood there looking nonchalant as she chewed a gum.

"Dad, I've told you I didn't do anything. Why won't you believe me?" She denied.

"Oh shut up there! You can try convincing yourself that you weren't the one but you can't convince me because I know you and I know what you can do. Isn't it enough already? Can't you learn to forgive and forget? Aside that, do you want to drag me down to the mud? Haven't you had enough of this evil character of yours? Haven't I done more than enough for you? I tried my best to make sure you turn out perfect, yet this is what you do for me in return? Goodness! Lucia get your acts together and start acting like a proper woman, not some badly trained child. If your mom was still alive - her blessed memory- do you think she'll be proud to see you like this..." The poor man was at the verge of tears. But the nonchalant girl, kept rolling her eyes north, south, east and west. I crossed my arms in amusement, whoever ends with this girl hmm, let me not say a thing.

"...if you continue like this, I'll have no choice other than to disown you." On hearing that, rude girl began to apologise quickly.

"Dad I'm sorry, I won't repeat it again. Please forgive me."

"That's all you say all the time yet you end up doing worse. The vice chancellor's son, can you imagine? You're really lucky he's under me and is a compassionate man, otherwise I would have made sure you have a taste of prison life, maybe then and only then, you'll get your acts together. You'd better prepare to go apologise to Johnny at his hospital bed..." He sank down on his seat.

"Dad! I said I'm sorry already, do I have to..." She was protesting when he cut her off.

"C'mon shut up, you annoying child!" He stood up angrily and pointing at her, he reemphasized. "Tomorrow, you must go to BJ'S HEALTH CARE HOSPITAL and apologize sincerely to the young man, only then will you be forgiven." He sat down back. While she tried whining in protest.

"Get out!" He yelled. The man was so angry I wonder what he'll do if I report his daughter to him again. But I have to, so she'll know she have to take her silly attitude away from us.

Lucia was angrily stomping out but stopped immediately she saw me. Her eyes widened in consternation and her father's eyes followed her gaze.

"Oh Jay, I see you are here already. Please come in." He said, reclining on his seat. Do not relax so much yet sir, I've got another bomb blast for you.

Lucia looked from me to him and back to me.

"How much of that did you hear?" She asked me accusingly.

"More than enough girl," I scoffed, rolling my eyes away.

"What....What are you doing here?"

"If you are that curious, why don't you stay back and see for yourself." I retorted. Releasing myself from the wall, I eyed her and walked in.

"Please sit," Mr Caden said, I sat down at the chair opposite him and looked behind at Lucia who was still standing there.

"If you don't mind Mr Caden, I'll like your daughter to stay back and hear what I have to say." I said, smirking at her.

"Sure. Lucia get a seat." He ordered. She walked back in and sat down shakily at another chair a bit behind us. My smirk must have messaged her, she looks visibly shaken by my presence.

"Mr Caden, I'm very sorry for what I'm about to say but you just have to know." I began. Mr Caden adjusted his seat.

"Okay go on Jay." He urged.

"Well, a week after our resumption at this campus, your daughter ordered the matron of our dorm to exchange our previous janitor to another one assigned by herself." I paused and watched his reaction. Mr Caden looks perplexed and Lucia looks like she'd pass out anytime soon. "Your daughter sent one of your head guards to assume the post of our new janitor, so that he'll be informing her on our every move, 'Daniel's especially,' he was more like a spy. With the information he was passing to her, she and her friends were literally seen every place we're at, aside the dormitory. Even places that were private to us, they were there. We were confused at first until only recently, we discovered that it was the janitor that was telling on us." I said. Mr Caden exhaled sharply, in annoyance.

"Is this true, Lucia?" He asked his petrified daughter.

"It's.... I'm sorry Dad." She apologized lowly, picking on her nails. In his wrath, Mr Caden flung a book at her but she was fast enough to escape it hitting her.

"How dare you subject my guard to such a level you, shameless child?" He yelled. Same thing I said.

"Who did you send? Tell me!" He barked, standing up on his feet immediately.

"Wayne did nothing wrong. He was going to report her but she threatened to deal with him if he does. Please spare the young man, he was only following his bosses daughter's orders." I interjected.

Seeing what she did to Johnny Davis the VC's son just because he made a meme of her, imagine what she'd do to an ordinary bodyguard. I was gonna add that, but it'll be an insult to his face.

"Wayne? You sent him to do this? Didn't I warned you not to touch my guards? If it isn't the maids you are humiliating, it's the scholarship students, now you dare to send my head guard and meddle in the idols' affairs. What's wrong with you Lucia?" He shouted at the already trembling girl.

"I just wanted to ask you to warn her not to meddle in our affairs again, Mr Caden. We didn't come here because of her, we came to study. That said, I'll take my leave now." I stood up carefully.

"I'm very sorry for this Jay, she won't repeat it again. Please tender my sincere apologies to Daniel. This child has brought me a whole lot of humiliations, I know how to deal with her. Thanks for letting me know about this. I hope to see you some other time." Mr Caden said and we shook hands.

"Sure Mr Caden, have a good day." I said as I stepped out, on reaching Lucia's side, I gave her a 'next time don't dare' kind of look and then walked towards the door.

"An actress without a proper character," I heard her father said to her as he hissed angrily.

I opened the closed door and stepped out, only to meet her friends eavesdropping by the door. They flinched when they saw me.

"Er....em...Ja...Jay hello." they stuttered.

"You girls should try giving your friend good advice at times, she needs it." I said and while they stared at me in shock, I walked away from them and down the stairs to the living room, before heading back to the car park.
I brought out my phone from my pocket and discovered I have a missed call from Dan. My phone was on silent mode all this while, that's why I didn't notice his call.

Mission accomplished. Now to more serious matters like accommodation for my sis on her arrival and getting Saline to trust me. I can't wait for that to happen.

I'll place a call to Dan on the way back to the dorm and I'll have my  manager arrange an apartment for my sis and whoever she's bringing along_if she's, immediately I get home.

I also have a surprise package for Dan....
