Bonus Shackled

Letting Alekos and Reyes fuck my ass without any lube was a mistake. Several days later, I’m still sore. Proving to them that I can be the wife they want is more difficult than I expected. Many boundaries have been pushed, but I don’t complain. I am the one who started this. They have been happier, which makes me think that they will choose me above everyone else.
I finish applying my makeup and doing my hair. In the past few months, I neglected my appearance. Just because I am pregnant doesn’t mean I need to be sloppy.
When I am done, I go to the porch, where my husbands are waiting for me. On my way to them, I pass through the living room. Alekos’ phone is on the table. The screen lights up while I pass next to it. I only cared about his phone now, because he received a text message with a wink emoji. My stomach churns. The emoji could mean nothing, but ever since Viviane bumped into us, Alekos has been spending more time on his phone than ever. What if he is talking to her?
I shouldn’t be snooping, but Alekos is my husband. If he is entitled to my secrets, then I am entitled to his.
I make sure no one sees me, and I pick up the phone.
*Is dinner still on?*
*Viviane* 😉
Her name is followed by the wink emoji.
He invited her to dinner. I want to read their entire conversation, but I hear noise coming from the kitchen and I put the phone back on the table. Maybe he will realize what he’s about to do before it’s too late to undo the damage.

We spend most of the morning on the beach, relaxing, before we return to the bungalow. The guys get busy with lunch while I set up the table. Alekos’ phone is on the counter. When I see the screen light up again, I pretend to need something from the cupboard above it.
*Excellent. I can’t wait to see you and the others this Friday.*
In the end, my husbands chose Viviane over me.

Angel stares at the moon, lost in thought. Her eyes are red and puffy. When I asked her about it, she denied crying. I heard her, though. Last night, as well. I tried finding out what was wrong, but she just shut down completely.
She’s been like this for the past three days.
Alekos and Reyes have been too busy fucking her to notice that she is not well. I tried bringing it up to them, but they brushed me off each time.
I sit on the beach next to her. “If you need to talk to someone, I’m here,” I let her know.
Angel leans her head on my shoulder. My arm wraps around her. “I just miss my mom.”
I can’t say I understand her. While I love my parents dearly, we grew apart over the years. When I need to talk to any of them, I call.
“I know you do,” I try to comfort her.
Angel falls silent. My palm runs up and down her arm. Some minutes later she asks, “What day is today?”
“It's past midnight, so Friday.”
Her entire body tenses and her shoulders shake. Is she crying again? Suddenly, she stands. “I’m going back to bed.” Her voice is steady but laced with sadness. Why won’t she tell me what’s wrong? Could she know we have been planning in secret? Women are complicated creatures and difficult to keep happy.
I jump to my feet. “I’m coming also.”
Without looking at me, she says, “Will you hold me while I sleep?”
“Always,” I promise.

**Angel**

I woke up about an hour ago and since then, I’ve been looking for my husbands. No trace of them. They left me a note on the counter—how considerate of them—letting me know they went to drink a beer and they will see me later. I might be many things, but I’m not stupid.
They left me here alone while they ran away with Viviane. Or whatever the fuck they did. I tried to be good and do whatever I could to please them, but in the end, I lost. I don’t even have tears left to cry anymore.
I go pack my bags because I don’t plan to be here when they return. If they return.
Their clothes are still in the closet. I grab a pair of scissors from the kitchen and destroy all of them before I get dressed.
When all my things are in my luggage, I book the first flight out of here and a boat to take me to the main island. The next part is going to hurt me, but it is necessary. I take off the ring, the cuffs, and the choker the guys proposed with. I put them on the counter together with a note. I hope it was worth it.
Before I can get out of the house, I hear the sound of a boat.
I let out a sigh of relief. That was fast. All I have left to do is contact Wasp and ask her if she can make me disappear forever.
I step out of the bungalow and wait for the helmsman to dock the boat. From where I’m standing, I can see that there are two people on the boat—a woman and a man. It’s the woman who gets out and comes to me. She is blonde and pretty. I think Alekos might have a type. She looks familiar, but I can’t remember where I saw her.
“Mrs. Raptou?” she asks. It never occurred to me that I am not Hernandez anymore but Raptou. “Do you remember me? We met last year when you came looking for Mr. Raptou.”
Oh. Now I know who she is.
“Cherry,” I say. She smiles. “I am so glad Alekos didn’t fire you.” A confused expression appears on her face, so I explain, “He flipped about the pregnancy and claimed he will have to let you go because you knew about the baby.”
Cherry laughs. “He is always like that when he is stressed. Talking about Mr. Raptou, we need to hurry.”
Then it clicks for me. Why is Cherry here? Before I can ask, she is already dragging me to the boat.
“Everything has been planned to the most minute detail. All you have to do is relax and enjoy your night.”
My night?
My mind goes back to the exchange between Viviane and Alekos and the texts he received. He made clear from the beginning that he is married and very much in love with me. I flipped the fuck out because Viviane was stunning, and why would Alekos choose me over her? He made it clear so many times. Do I ever listen? No. Because at the back of my mind, I still hear Salma’s cruel remarks about me, and how she bragged about sleeping with Alekos. “He will never spare you another glance now that he’s been with me. In fact, no man will ever choose someone as average as you.”
Years later, it still affects me.
Because of that, I am self-sabotaging my marriage. Mierda! Fuck! I even took off my engagement jewelry. My husbands won’t be happy.
“I left something in the bungalow,” I say and try to jerk my arm away from Cherry but her grip on me is strong.
“Whatever you need, we will get it from Veross City,” she says as we get in the boat.
We're going back home?
I should insist on going back to the bungalow, but my head is spinning right now, and I’m trying to think of a good reason why I keep blowing up my life. Or why I don’t trust Alekos’ feelings are genuine. Or those of Reyes and Stefan. Reyes is going to be so pissed when he realizes why I was so down for the past few days.
Cherry winks at me. “Don’t let Mr. Raptou know that I told you. He wants everything to be a secret until the last minute.”
All the plans the guys and Viviane did were for me.
The helmsman starts the boat and sails away.
I am not the only one at fault here.
When I see my husbands, they will have to explain why they thought it was alright to leave me alone in Bora Bora while they flew back home for a surprise they planned for me. We could have had dinner here as well.
*Good luck explaining why you left the engagement jewelry on the counter, Angel.*
I think my ass will hurt for a long time.
Maybe it’s time to reveal my honeymoon surprise for them. I doubt they will find it as funny as I do, but it might distract them long enough to throw away the note before they see it.

Many hours later, we land in Veross City. The flight wasn’t as long as I thought. Cherry didn’t give me time to get bored. She is fun and smart and loves to gossip, mostly about people from her work.  Not in a mean way. Mostly who is dating who and other small office drama things. Listening to her kept me distracted from the questions swirling inside my head.
After the fallout with Salma, I didn’t have any more girlfriends because I didn’t want history to repeat itself. Wasp was the first woman I got close to in years, but even with her, it’s hard to be completely open. That was the main reason I left the Sanctuary: I didn’t like being surrounded by so many women. While I love spending all my time with my husbands, Cherry reminded me why having a girlfriend is so important. Finding one will be difficult, but it doesn’t have to be today.
A black car is waiting for me close to the small airport where the private airplane landed. Cherry is kind enough to accompany me to it since it’s late and freezing. I forgot how cold it is here during the winter. Before we got off the plane, Cherry gave me a long winter coat to wear.
Once we are standing next to the car, Cherry gives me a hug. “It was a pleasure seeing you again, Mrs. Raptou. I hope you have a wonderful night.”
“Angel. I insist. Thank you for keeping me company. You must be exhausted after all the traveling you did.”
Cherry smiles. “This was my last day in Tahiti, so it wasn’t a big deal. Besides, the payment makes up for any discomfort I might have had.”
I chuckle. “Money sure helps.” I should not do this. It’s not worth the risk. “But apart from the money, I hope you had just as much fun as I did.”
“I did.” After a moment of hesitation, Cherry adds, “I didn’t believe you were pregnant the day you showed up at the office. I am glad to see I was wrong. Mr. Raptou is finally happy. He even put photos of you all over his desk.”
He didn’t tell me that.
“How do you know that?”
Cherry straightens her shoulders. “I got promoted to his secretary right before your wedding. Mr. Raptou always kept his private life separate from work, but you are very special to him. Before the honeymoon, he wouldn’t stop showing everyone the wedding ring you bought for him.” In a lower voice, she adds, “Your other two husbands have been more discreet, but they can’t fool me.” She opens her bag and pulls out a card with her info on it. “If you like coffee, I know the best place in the city to get it.”
I take the card from her. “Don’t mind if I take you up on that offer.”
We hug one last time before Cherry opens the back passenger door for me, and I climb inside the car. I notice the woman sitting next to the driver only when the car starts.
“Viviane?”
I didn’t expect Viviane to be in the car that is supposed to take me to where my husbands are. What if Cherry misinterpreted what Alekos told her?
“Angel.” Viviane climbs over her chair to get to me. She sits so close to me that her breath fans my skin. It makes me anxious. “I was very eager to see you again.” Viviane tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear before dipping her head. What is she doing? Her lips pass mine so close they almost touch before they reach my cheek, and she plants a kiss on it. “Too bad you are married. I would have loved to take you out for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything else in between.”
Is she into…women?
Viviane pulls her head back and I don’t even know what to say to her. Luckily, she keeps talking. “Alekos is lucky to have met you first. I hope he is treating you well.” I quickly nod my head. She keeps touching my hair. “Good. I’ve never seen him so in love. To be honest, I don’t think he loved someone until you.”
Feeling that this is my opportunity to find some things about Alekos’ past, I ask, “Have you known him for a long time?”
“Ever since he started becoming famous, I have done the makeup for the women who appeared next to him in photos. Back then, appearance was everything to him, and he wanted to be seen next to beautiful women.”
If I am to guess what Viviane does for a living then without a doubt, she is a makeup artist.
I laugh bitterly. “And then he went ahead and married me.”
Viviane looks confused. “If you are implying that you are not beautiful, you are wrong. No wonder Alekos snatched you before anyone else could.” The car stops in front of a house. “Let’s get you ready for your date.”
***
Two hours later, the driver parks in front of the most famous restaurant in Veross City. My husbands are waiting for me in front of it.
I am so nervous that my hands are shaking. Deep breaths don’t help.
Reyes comes to open the door for me. When his eyes fall on me, he is so shocked, he doesn’t know what to say. Knowing that I’m not the only one nervous helps me calm down a bit.
“Hello, handsome,” I say before he pulls me out of the car directly into his arms. His body trembles against mine, and it has nothing to do with the cold.
How could I ever believe that Reyes would cheat on me? Or the others?
“Qué guapa estás, Nena,” he whispers into my ear.
The other times I was called beautiful, I always thought it was a lie—until tonight. Viviane is a true makeup artist. Combined with the dress and the new hairstyle, she left me stunning.
Alekos is the next one to embrace me. “I’m having second thoughts about this entire night.” Guiding my hand to his dick, he adds, “This is how I am around you all the time.”
Having an over-excited husband is better than having one who dreads seeing me.
I turn to Stefan.
“You’ve always been beautiful, but tonight? The most stunning woman in the world,” he murmurs against my skin before kissing my cheek. For once, I feel like it.
It’s amazing what wonders makeup and clothes can do to my confidence. After the baby is born, I’ll take better care of myself. Not for my husbands but for myself. I want to look in the mirror and not cringe at my own reflection.
Alekos offers me his arm and I place my palm in the crook of his elbow. Before we enter the restaurant, he tells me, “I think I kept you hidden long enough. While I don’t want the world to know about you, it’s time for everyone to know that I am a married man. Especially my family.”
I blink. “What?”
Alekos moves, tugging me after him. “This is our first public appearance as Mr. and Mrs. Raptou.” He winks at me. “Don’t forget to smile.”
If I kill Alekos, will the judge believe me when I say it was due to momentary insanity?
