I went outside and explained that Alice was having issues and wished to speak to Janet. Janet climbed out of the hot tub and went with me back to the house. She saw Alice crying and rushed to her, hugging her. This time, Alice didn't flinch when a naked person hugged her; it was her sister.
"Alice, what's wrong?" Janet asked.
"Alex is having an affair," she sobbed. "Even tonight, he said he was working late, but he'll come back to the house late, smelling of sex and cheap perfume."
"Oh, Alice. I'm so sorry. What can I do to help? Do you need a place to stay? I'll ask Chen. I'm sure he wouldn't mind letting you stay with us."
"I don't want to impose," Alice said.
"You're not imposing, you're family. It will give you time to decide what you want to do."
"Wait one," I said. "Let me call an attorney. If you decide to leave him, you might want to do certain things to protect yourself."
Alice nodded tearfully and I called Zoe.
"Hello, Julia. To what do I owe this pleasure?"
"Zoe, I'm sorry to disturb you, but Janet's sister believes her husband, Alex, is having an affair and is considering moving out of the house. Could you please talk to her and tell her what she might need to do to protect herself?"
"Sure, hand her the phone."
I sat Alice down at the dining room table and handed her the phone. Janet stood behind her, rubbing her shoulders while I got her a glass of water, sitting down beside her when I brought it. For the next ten or fifteen minutes, Alice mostly said yes or no to the things Zoe was asking or talking about. Apparently, at one point she was asked about work, because she said 'part time' then after a few more nos or yeses, she said 'Julia offered me a full time job with benefits', then an 'okay' at some point. Then a 'yes, Janet's house', by which I suspected she was being asked if she had a safe place to stay. She could stay here if Chen wasn't agreeable, but I couldn't imagine him saying no.
Eventually, Alice thanked her and handed the phone back to me.
"Listen, Julia. I gave her what advice I could. I'm going to text you the name of a good divorce attorney in Fresno in the event she decides to go that route. The most important thing is having a place to stay if this should somehow become violent. She said she can stay with her sister, so that's good."
"She could stay with me if need be. She could have Lucia's room."
"Good. She still doesn't know what she wants to do. It's a big, life altering, decision, so I don't blame her. I told her to start a diary of things she believes is documentation of an affair. I don't think it's necessary to hire a private detective yet."
"Perhaps our resident police officer could help."
Zoe laughed. "You've still got your slave then."
"Yes. She seems to be enjoying herself."
"Give her my number in case she has any more questions prior to hiring a divorce attorney."
"Thank you, Zoe."
"You owe me, Julia."
"You know I'm good for it."
Zoe laughed and hung up.
Alice said, "Your friend said California is a community property state and I don't need to worry too much about division of assets, but she suggested before I move out, I get a snapshot of the amount of money in each of our accounts in case Alex tries to move money out and hide it. She also said I should start planning for a future without him, just in case, which means a full time job with benefits. I'll be starting work on Monday."
"We're happy to have you, Alice."
"Janet, if you'll check with Chen, I may need to take you up on your offer of a place to stay, but I'm not going to move out yet. I plan to think about my options for the next week or so and decide what's best for me."
"I'd appreciate it if we don't tell anyone except possibly Chen what's going on."
"Mums the word," I said. Janet mimed zipping her mouth closed.
"Why don't you use my bathroom to fix your make-up, so it doesn't look as though you've been crying. We'll just tell the others you have some women troubles. That's usually enough to make men quit asking questions."
"Thank you."
I showed her the way to the bathroom and then Janet and I went outside. I warned her to speak to Chen in private.
"Alice has decided to take up our offer of employment," I said. "She starts on Monday."
"What was the problem?" Master asked. "You were gone quite a while."
"Woman troubles. You don't want to know, sir" I said.
"No, I probably don't."
"She's finishing up now. It's all good."
Alice came out ten minutes later; said goodbye to everyone and left. She whispered thank you to me as she hugged me. She told Shasta she was looking forward to working with her. Shasta took her leave shortly after, saying she'd see us on Monday. That was the men's cue to remove their clothing. Janet and Chen left thirty minutes later after they helped finish the bottle of wine. They didn't have to drive.
With everyone else gone, we adjourned to the bedroom where Master first fucked Rhonda as she licked Lisa. After I got him hard again, he fucked me while Lisa and Rhonda played together. Since it was late, we settled into bed for the night.
