Chapter 19 I may have become addicted to her
***Oliver's POV***
After the Princess got out of the car, I drove to the training camp.
Suddenly I heard the message alert sound. I grabbed my phone from the passenger seat only to realize it wasn't mine.
Was Princess Angelina's phone?
I swear I didn't mean to peek at her messages, but the message popped up on the lock screen page.
"Your Highness, you didn't come to college today and I was worried about you. I called you but no one answered. May I ask if you arrived home safely last night?"
The person who sent the message was called Matthew.
It was him. I was very sensitive to that name. The Princess had been close to Matthew since the first day of school. She called out Matthew's name in her dreams.
Who the hell was Matthew?
I silently wrote down his name and cell phone number and asked my subordinates to check him out.
I had planned to take the phone to the library and return it to the Princess after the training. But when I arrived at the library, I heard that she had already left.
My heart was a little lost when I didn't get to see her. I could have left the phone at the Royal Library and waited for the Princess to come back for it, but I wanted to see her again, so I put the phone away.
I may have become addicted to her. I vowed that I would be faithful to my future sole mate. But I was already obsessed with the Princess without being sure if she was my mate.
***Angelina's POV***
The next day.
I woke up and took Lisa to the kindergarten first. Then, my chauffeur took me to the college.
I didn't expect Matthew to be waiting for me in front of the campus entrance. As soon as he saw my car, he waved at me excitedly.
I lowered the car window, "Are you waiting for me?"
Matthew ran over-enthusiastically and ingratiatingly, "Yes, Your Highness. I couldn't get in touch with you yesterday. I was so worried about you. It is so great to see you!"
"Did you contact me?" Why am I not impressed at all?
"Yes, I made a lot of calls and sent a lot of texts. Please forgive the intrusion, I just wanted to make sure you were safe."
I suddenly realized that I hadn't seen my phone since yesterday until now. I was so focused on reading and playing with Lisa yesterday that I wasn't distracted from paying attention to my phone at all.
"Maybe I lost my phone."
I think I lost my phone either at the palace or Oliver's house. I'll have Adam call my grandfather later to see if the phone is at the palace.
If it's not at the palace, then I'll have to make a trip to Oliver's house to get it back myself.
I was so focused on my thoughts that I noticed Matthew was still looking at me with bated breath when I finished thinking.
What did he want? Why isn't he leaving? Did he want to ride in the same car with me?
The thought of being crammed into the same small space as he made me feel suffocated.
"Anyway, I'm relieved to see that you're safe, Princess. I was so worried last night that I couldn't sleep all night."
Listen to these beautiful words. He used to lull me with such terms. Now he's trying to pull the same trick again, but I'm not going to fall for it anymore.
"Thank you for your concern. That's very kind of you. I have to go to class soon, I'll leave now."
Seeing his disappointed look made my heart feel pleasant.
After the car drove away, I slowly settled down.
I can't let Matthew stay disappointed. I have to make him ignite hope and make him feel that he can cheat me. Only then would he get greedier and greedier and reveal more and more secrets.
So I said to my driver: "Later you go to the pharmacy and buy an anti-inflammatory medicine. Then give it to the man who just approached me to talk. Tell him that it is from the Princess. I hope the wound on his head will recover soon."
"As you command, Your Highness."
"By the way, ask him if he needs any help anywhere. Her Highness admires him and is happy to help him out."
"As you wish."
When I walked into the classroom, I noticed that more than twice as many people were sitting in the classroom.
I was used to this, knowing that at least half of the students in the classroom were there not to listen to the lecture but to see me.
But what I didn't expect was that Adam and Alex had come to the classroom too.
They took a seat for me. They picked up the book bag from my seat as soon as I walked in and gestured for me to sit down.
I didn't want to sit between the two of them; it would be too conspicuous. But there were no more empty seats in the whole classroom, so I had to walk towards them.
"Why did you two come to my class? Didn't you say you were going to keep a low profile and pretend you didn't know me?"
Alex answered me first, "We seriously discussed that it was more important to keep you safe than to keep a low profile. From now on we will follow you every inch of the way. There will be at least one person staying with you no matter what.Avoid another situation like the last bar."
I held my forehead, " Gosh, this is awkward." Someone as handsome as the two of them was already enough of an eye-catcher on campus. When they stood next to me, there was hardly anyone who wouldn't stare curiously at the three of us.
"Can't you guys just ......"
"We Can't." Adam and Alex said simultaneously, "Please forgive me, Princess."
I bowed my head helplessly. I couldn't scold them for doing their duty. And they were not ordinary servants or bodyguards; they were heir candidates. Their true allegiance was to my grandfather.
I didn't even notice what the teacher was teaching during the whole class. My classmates' whispers filled my ears.
"Look at the two handsome twins, they are sitting next to the Princess. Are they trying to woo the Princess? OMG this is so dramatic!"
"Did you hear Alex just say to the Princess to please drink water. Rumor has it that Alex never speaks. Turns out he's not mute."
"Look, Adam is flipping the book for the Princess. Rumor has it that Adam is very unlikely to pick up on people. Look how warm and considerate he is today."
"Which one do you think the princess will like?"
"I heard that the princess likes a senior named Matthew."
"Don't talk nonsense. Doesn't that senior named Matthew have a fiancée?"
"He's right. Matthew has a fiancee, but his fiancee just passed away in a car accident."
"So which one would the princess like, Alex, Adam, or Matthew?"
"I guess the Princess won't like any of them. The Princess should marry a prince."
I could hardly stand it but pretended to put my hands on my cheeks and then secretly covered my ears.
I quietly surveyed Adam and Alex's reactions and found them much calmer than I was. One was staring intently at the teacher while the other was taking notes on top of his iPad.
"Not at the palace." Alex suddenly said.
"What?"
" The Alpha King said that your phone wasn't left at the palace."
Alex moved his left hand away, and I realized that the iPad showed his chat screen with my grandfather on top.
"Okay. Thanks for letting me know." I paused for a moment, then deliberately said, "Prince Alex."
Alex was flustered and embarrassed, and his whole face turned red: "Your Highness, I, I didn't mean to hide it from you. I'm sorry."
I winked at him and smiled without saying anything.
A few minutes later, I saw Adam take out his phone and let out a shriek.
I think Alex had told Adam about the identity exposure.
Adam looked up in alarm: "Princess..."
I made a "shhh" gesture, then avoided his gaze and stared straight at the teacher.
Although I didn't show it, I was smiling inside.
Well, now I wasn't the only one embarrassed.
