Chapter 76

Third Person's POV

'What's wrong, Zayden?" Eric asked when they reached home.
'Nothing. My wolf is mad at me. That's why he blocked me in his mind, making me feel like a human."
'I am telling you, Alpha, these wolves are so stubborn sometimes," Eric said and laughed while Zayden joined him. 'Look, even my wolf blocked me for making fun of him." He added, and then laughed again.
Zayden didn't notice Grace sitting on the lawn. As he hurriedly walked toward the main entrance of the house. Grace suddenly got into the mood of playing. She approached slowly, without making a sound, towards the door, making sure he didn't see her. She knew Zayden would ring the bell, as he never entered PIN and entered himself. He liked the moment of his mate opening the door for him. And she knew it. Zayden rang the doorbell again. Oblivious to the fact that she wasn't inside.
‘Why is he not able to sense my presence over here?' She thought and then smiled, thinking something. Her weird slow movements confused the nearby guards, including Eric. As he looked at her with raised brows. She signaled them to keep quiet as she approached his Alpha. The guards wanted to laugh at the scene but decided against it, as they didn't want to die by their Alpha's hand just because they laughed at their Luna.
When she was just behind him, and he was about to ring the bell again in slight fear of her safety, she brought her hands towards his face and placed them over his eyes quickly, before he could have turned toward her.
‘Stupid and childish behavior!'
Zayden went stiff for a second before he felt the smoothness of her palm. He could recognize his mate even without his wolf. And her fragrance confirmed that it was his mate behind him. He was so engrossed in talking with Dominic in his mind that he didn't even feel Grace's presence behind him. Actually, Dominic was mad because Zayden opposed his idea of mating with Grace on the upcoming full moon night, while Zayden was adamant to have her when she would be ready rather than forcing himself on her. When they had crossed the journey till this far, then why couldn't they wait for a little more?
'Guess who?" Grace joked while controlling her laughter. She had never thought that she would do something this childish someday.
Zayden smiled at her childish behavior.
'Angel?" he replied back to her question.
'When did you change my name?" She asked as he turned around to face her. Compared to the endearment ‘Sweetheart', she didn't like the new affectionate word, ‘Angel'.
'I didn't." He said as he encircled his arm around her waist to pull her closer to her. He briefly looked at the nearby guards and Eric. He didn't have to say anything or signaled anything. The guards and Eric got his intention and left from there, giving privacy to the couple.
'Then, what was…" She was about to ask him when he replied to her.
'You are my angel! Aren't you? The person who brings happiness and joy in life is indeed an angel. And for me, that person is you. So, you are my angel." He explained lovingly.
'Too much sweetness! I may get diabetes! She said sarcastically to save herself from displaying her blush.
'Werewolf doesn't get diabetes." He said as he bent down to kiss her fully on her lips. And she felt herself falling for his touches. That tingling, butterfly-type feeling engulfed her again, and she responded to his affection equally. She didn't feel any spark this time, which indicated to her that Dominic was not present there because it was his presence because of which she always felt spark whenever Zayden touched her. She kept in her mind to ask about it after breaking the kiss. While Zayden loved when she tried to kiss him back. Even though she wasn't perfect in it, he loved how she would try to touch his chest or neck or hair while she kissed him back.
'Okay, Okay! Before you fool me again, we should go." Grace said as she pulled back and kept a finger on his lips to stop him from kissing her again. But he kissed her finger, too.
'Do we really have to go?" He asked, faking a questioned face.
'Obviously. You promised me, Zayden." Grace whined as she thought he was serious.
'I know! But don't you think that we should do something better inside than go out in this rainy weather?" He asked.
'Something better? Like what?" She asked, thinking he knew some better alternative than watching a movie and going out.
'Yes! Something better likes….s….e…." He was about to continue when she pushed him hard.
'Shut up, Zayden!" She scolded him meekly while blushing ear to ear. And there she thought he had some better option!
Zayden laughed at her response. Why was she so shy? He wondered! But then again, she was she and would find every chance to escape from talks like that. Still laughing at her reaction, he took her hand and started pulling her towards the car.
'Where is Dominic? I can't feel him," Finally, Grace asked, the question which was troubling her.
'Aaaa...we had a fight. That's why he blocked me. Don't worry, he will be back soon.", he replied, without telling her the reason for his argument with his wolf. 'I will drive.", he informed the driver and took the keys from him.
After driving the car out of the gate, he placed his left hand on her thigh.
'So, which movie do you want to watch?" he asked, even though he had already booked two tickets to surprise her.
'I don't know! I am not a very big fan of it, ' She murmured.
'Then why were you insisting on watching one? We could have dinner instead," he asked, giving her a sideways glance.
'The dinner would have been just an hour, but the movie will be more than two hours. So, I...I just…" She didn't know what to say.
'Wanted to spend time with me!!" He completed her sentence while displaying a hint of a joke in it.
'You really are impossible.", She said, while chuckling at his comment.
