CHAPTER 50

MIA POV.
A flicker of hope sparked inside my chest, but it was swiftly chased away as Dominic's grip on the handcuff chain tightened. He pulled me forward, silently dragging me off the cold metal table. My heart sank as I saw the open padlock fixed to the floor, its eerie presence chilling me to the bone. Dominic stopped to turn around to look at me, his eyes boring into mine with determined intensity. "Kneel." he commanded, his voice cold and detached. The word dropped like a weight, crushing the little bit of hope that I had of leaving this place. I hesitated, my legs trembling beneath me. Dominic yanked the chain to get me to move, the chain biting into my skin and I whimpered in pain. With a sinking feeling, I realized I had no choice. Slowly, I sank to my knees, the hard floor biting into my skin and instantly making me cold. The position felt subservient and humiliating. Dominic's cold eyes lingered on me. His expression unreadable. The silence was deafening to my ears as my heart thundered inside my chest.
As the metal of the chain clicked into place, securing my handcuffs to the floor, Dominic's voice cut through the silence, his words dripping with conviction: "In this world, Mia, respect and trust aren't given freely - they're earned, through obedience, loyalty, and sacrifice." His gaze bore into mine, his eyes cold and unyielding.
"My father was a good man, too good." Dominic said, his eyes seemed to cloud over at the memory of his father. He Continued, his voice low and measured. "He believed in kindness and justice, thought that would protect him, his family and his pack." His tone turned bitter. "But it didn't. He was betrayed, killed by those he trusted."
Dominic's focus snapped back to me, his eyes hardening. "In here, status and strength are everything. Without them, you're nothing but prey." He paused, his voice calm but deliberate. "It's time you learned to respect me, Mia. Not just fear me, but respect me." His words had a me break out in a cold sweat as his eyes burned with intensity. "I'm not just your alpha… I'm your only chance to survive what is to come." He took a step closer, his presence suffocating. "You'll learn to obey, to submit, and to trust me." The last word hung in the air. It felt like a cruel joke given our circumstances but Dominic's unyielding gaze held mine. "Because in this world, respect is earned through power, and I will teach you this personally."
I felt helpless and immobile as I sat on my knees with Dominic circling me with deliberate slowness. The cold concrete floor seemed to suck the warmth from my skin, leaving me chilled and vulnerable. My eyes strained to follow him, but the handcuffs biting into my wrists restricted me from seeing him fully as he walked around me.
Each step he took echoed through the room, which heightened my anxiety. My heart pounded nervously as the air felt thick with tension.
I startled when his warm breath fanned over my ear, sending shivers coursing down my back and my skin prickling with goosebumps. Dominic's proximity was suffocating and domineering where I sat trapped, fully aware that I was at his mercy.
His breath continued to dance across my skin, a gentle caress that was starting to mess with my mind. I shivered, my body responding to the danger of Dominic as the uncertainty of his actions remained unclear but I knew I was going to find out soon enough. Dominic's whispery voice flowed warmly over my skin and I took in a deep breath, closing my eyes. "Your distrust is misplaced, Mia. I'm the only one who can keep you safe in this world. Your defiance needs to be punished. You need to learn obedience." I felt the little bit of anger and resistance that I had left, began to slip away, to be replaced by fear again. My body involuntarily surrendering to his domination. A traitorous part of me stirred, drawn to the dominance that radiated from Dominic like a blazing furnace. His authority was suffocating, yet strangely exciting. My mind recoiled, horrified by this newfound discovery. But my body betrayed me, relaxing into the restraints, accepting my fate. This, both terrified me and craved for it. "You'll learn to trust me, Mia. You will learn to obey." Dominic's voice whispered in my ear and I felt a jolt run through my body when I felt a touch to my lips. I opened my eyes to see Dominic kneeling in front of me. His eyes boring into mine.
His fingertips traced the curve of my lips. "Open." he ordered, his voice low and husky. I hesitated, uncertainty swirling within me. But his eyes held mine, unyielding, and I found myself complying, my lips parting slightly. He widened them more as he slid his fingers into my mouth, his touch sending a shiver of discomfort through me. I squirmed, trying to adjust to the invasion, but he merely pressed down on my tongue, exploring the contours of my mouth.
I tensed, my body automatically going against the intimate intrusion as I lightly bit down on his fingers. Dominic's gaze flickered, a hint of surprise, but his expression remained calm and his eyes never leaving mine. But abruptly, his fingers increased their pressure, his touch turning possessive. "Stay still." he growled, his voice low and commanding. I froze, my body tensing against the sudden intensity. I thought that this would have scared me more, but instead, a treacherous thrill coursed through me. My heart raced, and my skin flushed, as my body responded to something that I have never felt before. My lips parted further, accommodating his probing fingers, and another shiver ran down my spine. This was so wrong, yet my body responded to his touch with a rush of excitement. Dominic's gaze still held mine, his eyes burning with intensity, as he watched me react to his touch. A satisfied smile pulling at his lips, his expression triumphant. "Good girl." he murmured, his voice dripping with approval, and I felt a twisted sense of pride, as if I'd pleased him. I felt horrified by my own reaction, but I couldn’t help myself.
Dominic's hand withdrew, leaving me panting and disoriented, but my eyes followed him until I couldn’t anymore as he walks around me again. His footsteps echoed through the room once more. I strained to hear what he'd do next, my heart racing with anticipation and fear… and something else.
"Position yourself." Dominic commanded, his voice husky. "like our wolves. Hands on the ground, hips in the air." His words sent more goosebumps over my skin. Without even thinking of fighting his command, I felt my body complying. Slowly, I lowered my hands to the cold floor, my palms pressed flat. My hips lifted, my body arching into the demanded pose. My knees parted, weight shifting onto my hands and toes.
I closed my eyes, surrendering to the vulnerability of my position. My breathing came out in rapid breaths as the air seemed to thicken, heavy with anticipation, and I felt more chills run through my body. My heart pounded, each beat resonating through my very being.
From behind me, I heard the sound of drawers opening, items being moved. Fear and curiosity coursed through my veins. What was he going to do? I feared, yet I yearned to know.
