20: Prove it, then

His dark hair fell over his forehead like he had been running his finger through it, his blue eyes sparkling.

This was also the first time I’d be seeing his arm full of ink.

He had an entire sleeve of tattoos, sprawled artistically on his ivory skin.

Xavier was hot, and even I could admit that through my hate for him. It’s so baffling how he could move from a scrawny little boy to an extremely attractive man.

But of course, I wouldn’t admit it to his face even if there was a knife to my neck or a gun pointed at my temple.

“Are you done ogling at me?” His voice pierced through my thoughts, alerting me back to the present. “You know you can take a picture, it would last longer.”

He had that annoying smirk playing on his lips.

“I wasn’t ogling at you,” I bit back.

“The drool at the corner of your lips beg to differ,” he said. My eyes widened and my hand subconsciously went to the corner of my lips to check if there was indeed a drool.

But there was nothing.

And when I looked back to Xavier, he was smiling like he knew he got me.

“Very mature,” I scoffed, moving back into the living room area to get some of the shopping bags. I heard the slight creek of the sofa and knew he was standing up.

“You seem to be in a good mood,” he commented.

“I was, till I saw your ugly face,” I bit back. He chuckled

“I’m sure you didn’t think my face was so ugly when you were maxing out my card,” I could feel his presence in the living room area with me.

“You are welcome, by the way,” he added. I turned back to look at him.

“I’m sorry, were you expecting a thank you?” I asked sarcastically. “I thought this was your way of apologizing for everything that went down yesterday, or you had no idea your assistant gave a very beautiful speech in your defense,” I folded my hands across my chest.

He shrugged.

“Castor can be a little melodramatic,” he stated simply and I rolled my eyes, going back to packing my shopping bags.

“Just so you know,” I spoke again. “Not even a shopping spree can make up for what you did to me last night,”

“It could have been easily avoided if you had just listened to me,” he retorted. “Besides, I wasn’t trying to make up for what happened between us, Lillian. You and I know you enjoyed it just as much as I did.”

My head snapped it in direction.

“I didn’t enjoy shit!” I snapped back.

“You could have fooled me with the wetness between your legs,” That smirk was still playing on his lips.

I gulped.

“I wasn’t wet,” I retorted. “And even if I was, you wouldn’t have known because you were to busy fucking my mouth to check,”

Xavier chuckled, shaking his head.

“I didn’t have to check, Lillian,” he said. “The trembling of your legs gave it away,” he shrugged and I glared at him, unable to counter him.

Shit.

“Even if you, Lillian, didn’t enjoy it,” he continued speaking, closing in on me till he was in my personal space and I could feel his soft, minty breath on my face.

“Your body did. And deep down, you want more.”He whispered huskily, his voice holding me transfixed.

When he saw he had me right where he wanted me, he let out a deep chuckle, turned away from me and started walking away.

But I sure as hell wasn’t ready to let him win this.

“Prove it then.”
