Chapter 14
*Gwen's POV*
I heaved out a heavy sign for the umpteenth time, arranging the dishes into the tray. I was appointed today to serve Prince Nikolai his meal.
I let out another sign, resting my hands on the cabinet, you must be wondering why I'm distressed.
Eleanor, I'm worried about her. I haven't seen her since the incident yesterday. She must be feeling really down right now. I'm sure that bastard would be happy right now, he has surely been looking for a way to get back at us.
This is the time Eleanor needs me but that stupid Griffin is yet to release her.
Damn the Queen for making her suffer this much.
I let out another restless sign shaking my head slightly. I felt a palm on my shoulder and turned to see Madam Helen behind me with a comforting smile on her face.
"Don't worry much child. She will be alright, I'm sure she will. Go serve the prince now, I'm sure he would be hungry."o
"Okay Madam Helen." I mumbled, grabbed the tray and walked out of the kitchen.

Nikolai could be seen laying on his bed humming to a never ending song. He paused when he heard a knock on his door, too soft to be that of his guards. He contemplated on asking who was that but shrugged the thought off when he realised it might be his meal.
"Come in."
The door creaked open and a maid stepped in. Nikolai sat up on the bed and let out a loud whistle sighting the maid in front of him.
"Holy dear gods. What a pleasant way to bless my sight." Nikolai stared unblinking at Gwen who stood nervously in the room shifting from one foot to another.
Few seconds passed in silence, Gwen staring at her feet and frequently glancing at Nikolai, who stared at her with eyes wide open.
Nikolai shook his head, blinking his eyes, regaining his consciousness. "Hey beautiful, that's my meal right."
Gwen nodded, staring at him weirdly. "You can put it over there." He pointed to the table beside his bed. She walked to the table and dropped the tray on it. She moved back, bowed her head and left.
Nikolai sat on his bed with mouth open and eyes widened in surprise. "Damn! How could a slave be that beautiful!"
*Three days later*
*STOCKHEM*
*Sabrina's POV*
I smiled at my reflection in the mirror. Still beautiful as ever. I used my hands to caress my face, smooth without freckles.
"Wine."
My maids rushed towards me and placed a cup of wine in my hands. I took a sip from the wine, staring at myself in the mirror. I ran the fingers of left hand through my blonde hair feeling my pride rise.
Who can withstand my perfection?
I swirled around and let out a small laugh, smirking at myself in the mirror. No one. Absolutely no one.
I dropped the cup on the table before me, turned around and left the room with my maid trailing behind me.

I walked into the garden and met my sister's there chatting and giggling with each other.
"If it isn't my sisters." They both turned their heads to stare at me as I walked magnificently into the garden. "Oh step sisters! Oops! actually ugly step sisters." I mocked as I stood directly in front of them with an innocent smile on my face.
"Ugh! The evil witch is here." Zara said, eyeing me disdainfully.
"You can say that again and see what father would do." I dared, keeping the innocent smile on my face.
"Seriously Sabrina, no one has time for your bickering. Just go find some random lad to fuck." Annika said, looking at me drily. "I'm sure that wouldn't be so hard since you're the kingdom favorite's slut. Nice reputation Huh?"
"Don't you dare say that again?" I pointed my fingers at her, glaring daggers at her.
"Or what? Oops! I forgot, else you run to papa. Nobody wants that."
I tried to control and steady my breaths. "That still doesn't change the fact that you're one ugly duckling. At least men still flock around me because of my irresistible beauty. But you," I smirked as I pointed my finger at her. "You're sure to die a lonely woman, cause no man with good eyes would look at this trash you call yourself, except a blind man though." I quirked an eyebrow at her, smiling mischievously.
Silence settled in the garden as she glared daggers at me trying to calm her enraged breathing.
"Bitch-" She hissed out and stood up to rush to me but Zara held her by the arm. "Leave her Anny, she's not worth it."
I smiled wider at them, blinking my eyelashes innocently.
A guard walked into the garden and bowed before me. "Your father requests your presence in his chambers."
"You see what I'm saying ugly ducklings, when was the last time father sent for you." I asked quirking at eyebrow. "Ugh, you don't remember cause it never happened."
"I have to go now sisters, father sent for his favorite child." I turned around to walk out of the garden, after a few steps I stopped and looked at them over my shoulders. "We shall see later sisters. Goodbye and have a terrible day." With that said I walked out of the garden.

"Father," I called, walking into his chambers.
"Oh, my dear Sabrina! Hurry! Have a seat, good news awaits you." He stood up and pulled a seat out for me before sitting down opposite the table.
"What is this good news father?" I asked curiously.
Father rubbed his palms together before speaking. "The good news is... King Axel wrote- you remember King Axel right?" He asked, staring at me expectantly.
"Yes father. I do." I replied.
"Well, King Axel wrote a letter asking for your hand in marriage to their son, Luciano!!"
"OH MY GOD!! Oh my god!! Tell me this is not a prank father! Tell me please!!"
"No darling! It's all true!." He replied, grabbing a scroll from his table and handed it over to me.
I looked through the contents and realized it's really true. I jumped off the chair and let out a squeal. "Oh dear gods! It's really happening! I'm getting to the man of my dreams! It's really happening father!! Oh my god!" I let out another squeal pumping my fist in the air excitedly.
"Yes darling!" Father stood up from his seat and walked to me, engulfing me in a tight hug. "I'm so proud of you." He held my cheeks with his hands planting a kiss on my forehead.
"Thanks to me for maintaining my beauty." I smiled from ear to ear giggling lightly. "I have to go prepare father. I'm sure I'm going to Cordenia right?"
"Yes darling. Come on, prepare for your trip, you'll need a lot."
"Yes father. Bye!" I waved and hurriedly exited the room.

Sabrina's smile faded as she walked out of her father's chambers into the hallway leading to her room. An evil smirk appeared on her face as she walked into her room. "Finally, I've been waiting so long for this." She muttered sitting on her bed and staring into space. "I guess it's working out well. Get ready to meet me Cordenia." She turned to face the window with an evil smirk on her face.
