Chapter 25

Closing the cabin door thirty minutes earlier, Alessandro walked amusing all the employees. When everyone was still working, their boss was walking out shutting his door. The sight was near impossible but they could not deny the boss and his sudden change.

"Good Evening, my hard-working peoples, you may leave early if your assigned work has been completed. I am sure your loved ones are waiting for you to come." Alessandro announced chocking most of the staff for air. He waved his bye and made his grand exit.

"He is surely whipped." One of the employees muttered with following a similar topic.

As Alessandro reached Bianca's workplace, he could barely hold his excitement just to bump with the slim, slender, and blonde figure.

"You-" The other person gasped.

"Mr.Romano? What a pleasant surprise." She battered her fake eyelashes.

"Do I know you?" Alessandro questioned.

"Well, not personally but my father Damien might have mentioned my name." She replied.

"You are Damien's daughter? But he is-"

"I am adopted." She made a sad face.

If only Bianca had not affected his life so much, he would not have felt concerned about what the lady said but now he felt guilty judging her.

"Oh! I am-"

"Mr. Alessandro?" Lina interrupted in between.

"Yes, Dr. Lina." Alessandro turned around and smiled at her recognizing her voice. She was Bianca's close friend at the hospital and he had to maintain good relations with her people.

"Bianca is in her cabin." She replied while glaring at Lucia.

"Yeah, I was going to her but I bumped into-"

"Lucia. My name is Lucia D'costa." Lucia replied shyly.

"Yeah her." He pointed. "Nice meeting you two ladies but I have my girl to pick, so please excuse me," Alessandro announced to which Lina smiled widely giving Lucia a taunting look.

Once Alessandro reached Bianca's cabin, he knocked at the door twice and heard to come inside shortly.

"Good evening, my lovely angel." Alessandro greeted Bianca with his ever charming smile just for her.

"Alessandro?" Bianca was taken back by his presence.

"Yours one and only." Alessandro chuckled.

"What-"

"Can't I visit my girlfriend?" Alessandro raised his eyebrow. "And after all this is my hospital." Alessandro settled in the nearest chair.

"You-"

"I know. I am arrogant." Bianca had her eyes wide how he could read her correctly.

"Guess I am correct again, this is called the magic of love, dear." At this time Bianca choked her saliva.

"You might need some psychiatrist, Mr. Alessandro. I suggest you visit the seventh floor and you might not wait too long as it is your hospital." Bianca smirked while Alessandro slumped his face.

"You broke my heart, my love. Here I was wishing you would jump in my arms and surprise me more like morning but you are thinking of sending me to the mental ward?" Alessandro pouted making Bianca all red.

"What-"

"Let me remind you." Alessandro stood up from his seat and smoothly kissed Bianca's cheeks and rested his forehead on hers.

"I missed you." He whispered.

"I missed you too." Bianca chuckled and Alessandro smiled.

Just then the door opened with a thud distracting both of them. " Oh! I am sorry, I interrupted." Lucia apologized quickly and exited but the smirk on her face did not go miss by Bianca.

Rotating round on his round chair, Alessandro was in deep thought thinking of the sudden change in Bianca's behavior since last week. She looked stressed and troubled. Alessandro had been asking time and again to her but he was not getting any answer to believe.

"What might have been troubling her?" Alessandro rubbed his chin in annoyance for the nth time.

"Ales." Darren banged Alessandro's door, breaking his thought.

"What happened now?" Alessandro shouted.

"Switch on the tv." Darren panicked while Alessandro looked at him strangely.

""Right now we are live telecasting outside the most famous hospital Medco. The people protesting outside are not some union or leaders but the poor family members of little child Raven. He was brought in the hospital yesterday due to high fever but due to a doctor's negligence, he has lost his life. He was a six-year-old kid and was prescribed higher dose medicine.

We are still waiting to connect with the management team of the hospital to get their clarification. But before that, I would like to ask the parents of the deceased kid's the name of the doctor and what happened yesterday.

"Two days ago, I brought my kid here at emergency because of high fever and Dr. Bianca Donato treated him. He was stable till evening so she prescribed some medicine and let us go but later at ten my kid vomited blood and died right in front of my eyes. We have come straight after knowing the medicine was prescribed wrong. I want justice for my child. I want the doctor's license terminated and imprisoned for such wrong practice."

Without a single word, Alessandro took his car keys and ran out of his office. Throughout the way to the hospital, he prayed Bianca to be fine.

But the moment he opened his car door, media person, protestor everyone circled him. They were asking his answer as the boss. He was in a rage that he could burst at any time.

Just then he glared at the camera and said, "My Bianca cannot hurt anybody, not even unintentionally."

Once he entered the hospital he went straight at Bianca's cabin. The view he witnessed was heartbreaking and tormenting. His girl was all tears, shaking and broken. He ran close to her and hugged her tight.

"I am here, angel."  He whispered trying to calm her.

"I-I did not." She sobbed.

"I know. I trust you." He wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.

"Ales-" Darren interrupted them. "The management committee and board members want you and Bianca in the meeting room."

"We will be there," Alessandro said. "Let's go love, and don't worry I won't let anything happen to you." He promised and held her hand.

"So, you are telling this is not the prescription you provided, Dr.Bianca? Are you kidding us? Cause the signature is yours and the kid was under your care. If you have not prescribed this then where did the original paper go? Even the name of the kid is on the header, accept your mistake doctor and help us settle the matter." One of the members yelled at her and Bianca shut her eyes in panic.

"I-"

"When she said that was not what she prescribed then why don't you believe her and search for the real culprit rather than giving her mental torture. " Alessandro banged the desk in anger. He was taking a lot of bullshit from everyone when his girl was suffering.

"Why don't you understand Mr.Romano, Dr.Bianca-"

"Enough! I don't want anyone of you to take her name from your shitty mouth. You all don't know her worth. I want a full investigation in this matter and once I found the person behind this scam, I will ruin their life." Alessandro stood grimly and took Bianca with him without listening to anybody else.

When they entered her cabin, he swiftly carried her in a bridal style and made her sit on his lap. "Hey, look at me my angel, I promise I will dig the truth out and prove you innocent. Please don't cry, It hurts me here seeing you cry." He pointed on his heart and she nodded repeatedly then buried her head on his chest.

"Thank you," Bianca whispered.

"Why would you thank me, angel?" Alessandro whispered.

"For believing me." She replied.

"I would believe you anytime with my eyes closed dear. Don't doubt my loyalty." Alessandro chuckled.

"I don't doubt."She whispered again and closed her eyes. She was getting calm and collected in his arms. He was her shelter and the moment she realized it, she also realized her liking was now converted into love towards him. She loved him with all his heart and soul.

"Alessandro" Bianca mumbled and Alessandro hummed.

"I love you." She confessed and went to sleep back again.

Soon she was softly snoring, on the other hand, Alessandro was perplexed and zoned booting what she said a few minutes ago.
