NOT IN THE MOOD

A few minutes passed, and she noticed the water was getting cold and wanted to switch on the faucet for it to warm up the water after looking at which one was it and on it, relaxing back in the tub.

   Suddenly, she felt the water running so fast and erroneously, that she used her foot to switch on the other tap and as it splashed on her, she screamed at the top of her lungs and attempted to jump out of the tub and ended up falling on the cold floor, screaming.

    Aldan, heard how she screamed and hurriedly went to the bathroom and slammed the door open, without asking what was going on with her, he saw the water splashing over the bathtub, which was already filled up, pouring on the floor and was baffled at how naked Lilith was. He hastily went over to the tap and quickly switched it off, ignoring the hot water, splashing on him and wincing at the temperature of the water, including the hot shower, avoiding her gaze and her body, and he went over to get a robe and covered her body.

     What a gentleman, she thought and almost smiled when she saw his solemn expression, staring daggers at her and shifting her gaze away from him. 

     "Get up and put on your robe,' he ordered and walked out of the bathroom, to give her some privacy. Lilith felt like the world should just open up and swallow her whole, damn. She just embarrassed herself in front of him.

   She got up feeling some pains in her body and burns due to the hot water and causing some red stains on her body. She was horrified at what he would think once he saw these stains on her.

   Oh, God. What did she just do? She hoped she wouldn't get fired because of these red stains, caused by the hot water on her body. 

   Wait a second. She can't get fired that easily, he had just introduced her to his parents and if he ends up getting her fired, the problem will be complicated and if his parents see her with another girl, that will be absurd.

   Come to think of it, what if he deducts a huge amount from her payment, wouldn't she be the one in trouble as well.

    What had she just done and man, this could get hectic for her.

    She wore her robe properly, tying it beside her waistline and came out of the bathroom and Aldan handed her a tube, she took it from him and stared at it.

      "Rub the part, where it hurts and don't let me see those red marks, tomorrow morning?"

     "Yes, Mr Aldan." She replied.

   "By the way, are you stupid or just dumb,' he reacted and Lilith shut her eyes, her face glancing down at her feet. "Am I not talking to somebody here?" 

   "I'm sorry, I almost didn't know what the right one was…"

    "You are sorry, that you almost what now or that you almost fried yourself back there. Did you know how bloody hot the water was,' he snapped?

    "I'm sorry…"

     "Quit saying "I'm sorry" all the damn time when you don't fucking fix your mistake. It's not helping and it's pretty useless when you apologise and repeat the same thing all over again. If you didn't know how to run the damn tap, couldn't you have called for a maid or something, to teach you how to do it, instead of getting it out of control and messing things up for me? You better be careful with me and don't provoke me." He warned and turned away from her and went to his bed and lay down, put the blankets over him and closes his eyes.

    Lilith sighed with relief, she opened the tube, pressed the cream out and rubbed it on where she was burnt, but it smelled so good. When she was done, she took a towel to dry her hair and made sure she was all dry, then went to her bag, took out her nightgown, so that way she could sleep after wearing it and then, sprinkled some perfume on her body. She arranged her things, took her phone and swiped it open and saw hundreds of missed calls by Madam Lucille and a few missed calls from belle.

   She sighed. Well, she was going to call them first thing tomorrow morning, right now, she feels so exhausted, to even start talking on the phone right now.

   She got up after arranging her things and got a bit confused about, should she sleep on the bed or not.

     "If you are done with what you are doing, put those two pillows behind me and stay far away from me but don't make it obvious,'' he instructed.

     "You mean that I should…"

   He broke in. "Don't make me repeat myself, you heard me." He said and somewhat buried his face in the pillows. Lilith went to the other side of the bed and quietly lay down beside him, but stayed a few meters away from him and turned to the other side of the bed as she lay down. She felt this warmth in her, that she can't describe, this was the first time in her entire life, had she slept close to a man without being intimate, having seduction and sex. This was the first time in her entire life, had she stayed with a man without him touching her or trying to do any harm to her, however, he was respecting her, that was why, he didn't want to have sex with her in the first place. This was the first time a man had seen her without complimenting her beauty and how sexy she was.

   Yet, Aldan was so different. She slightly shook her head, where she shouldn't judge too soon, she hadn't known him yet enough and shouldn't just conclude on what he is and what he was not. All she knows is that she felt safe close to him and strange enough, no matter how he talks to her, why doesn't she get mad or anything. She can mutter words against him, but she doesn't get angry with him.

    Reckoning and thinking of the next thing to do left her brain in a daze and fell asleep so fast, unknowingly to her that Aldan had gotten out of bed.

    He went to the balcony and quietly slid the glass door closed and made a few calls.

    The call clicked as it answered.

  "Hey, boss." The deep voice answered at the other end of the phone.

    "I want you to check, to get some information about this…"

   Ransom lay down staring at the ceiling, having a lot of things on his mind, when his wife came beside him, wrapping the both of them in a white fluffy blanket and began kissing him. Ransom got up from the bed and muttered. "Not tonight," he said and took a tumbler beside him and his favorite champagne alongside it and poured himself some in his glass and sipped from it.

  His wife got closer to him and wrapped her slender arms around his neck, moving one of her hands to his chest. "I want you, babe. It's really been so long since we've made love.' She said seductively and licked his ear.

   Ransom sighed and gently pulled her arms away from his body. "Honey, not tonight. I'm not in the mood." He said and got up from his bed, strolling to his balcony with a tumbler in his hand.

    "Is anything wrong? His wife got up from the bed in her sexy nightwear and got a bit closer to him.

  "There is nothing wrong." He said and sipped from his tumbler. "I just had a lot of things on my mind, which is about business and the company?" 

   "But, Aldan had arrived,' she frowned. 

   "And, what does that have to do with my business?" 

   "Don't you get me?" She said and stood in front of him. "Now that he is back, wouldn't the inheritance be divided once again, which will be little, especially, on your side. Have you forgotten, he is the firstborn in the family?'

    "Whether he comes back or not, Aries. Father will still leave an inheritance for him and there is no mistake about that.'

   "You mean, if he is here or not, your father will redivide the inheritance." She retorted.

   "Calm down, it's not like he came here to get his own share, Aries. Aldan is bigger than that, he has his own company now. But, it is not because of the inheritance?' He said and sipped some wine, once more and sat down on his bed again and folded his legs across each other wearing his night robe on him, which was showing how muscular and sexy he was.

    "How are you so sure?' She demanded. "I don't trust him one bit, why will he come back after all these years?" 

     "Father was the one, who invited him to come for his birthday party but instead, he made it a welcome party with lots and lots of guests. He was celebrating his birthday party, but he was actually welcoming Aldan home after a long period." He explained.
