~ Chapter Eleven - Part 2 ~
Daedalus led the way through the hallway. He opened one door and gestured to Damien. “You and Katalina can have this room,” he said softly.
Damien walked in and laid Katalina in bed while Daedalus got everyone else set up in their rooms. He pulled her boots off and tucked the blanket around her body. He gently moved her hair out of her face and pressed a feather-light kiss to her forehead.
Damien didn’t want to leave her, but they hadn’t eaten since lunchtime. He walked out into the hallway and quietly closed the door. Lucas walked up to him with a raised eyebrow. “I thought you would have just joined her,” he said teasingly.
Damien chuckled as they walked towards the living room. “Normally, I would have, but we both need to eat. We haven’t eaten since lunchtime earlier today.”
Lucas nodded in understanding. “Are you going to wake her up first?” He questioned.
Damien scoffed while James and Marcus let out loud laughs from the couch. “Unless you have the food physically in your hand when you wake her up, you don’t want to do that,” Damien explained.
Marcus nodded in agreement. “I woke her up one time,” he said with a shake of his head. “She punched me and tried to throw a lamp at me.”
Lucas looked at them with wide eyes. “Note to self,” he said as he sat down. “Never wake up Katalina.”
Damien laughed as he leaned against the wall next to the fireplace.
Daedalus walked into the room. “Alright. I don’t have much food here, but I have a bunch of pizzas on the way,” he said as he sat in his usual seat.
“How are they going to get past all of the traps?” Damien questioned.
Daedalus shrugged. “I disabled them for now.”
They all sat down and waited for the pizza. It didn’t take long for it to arrive at the door. Once everyone settled with their pizza, Damien grabbed a pizza and two sodas. “I’m going to go feed the beast,” he said with a smile.
Marcus and James laughed as they saluted him. “Good luck, alpha,” James said as he returned to his food.
Damien went to the guest room that Daedalus had given them and set the food on the nightstand next to Katalina. He pressed soft kisses to her face and neck. “I need you to wake up, little dove. You need to eat, and Daedalus bought pizza,” he whispered into her ear before kissing behind it.
Katalina moaned as she turned over. “No,” she mumbled.
Damien chuckled and pulled the blanket away from her. “Just eat a little bit, dove. You’re going to need your strength. Come on,” he gently wrapped his arm around her shoulders and helped her sit up.
Katalina tried to push him away, but he simply held her close. “It’s your favorite, little dove. Come on now.”
Katalina grumbled but finally rubbed the bit of sleep from her eyes as she leaned into him. Damien grabbed the pizza and set it in front of her. He also handed her a soda. “Here, dove.”
Katalina made quick work of eating some pizza and finishing off the soda. Then, with Damien’s help, the pizza was gone entirely. “Do you want to sleep fully clothed, dove?” He asked her softly as he set the empty box to the side.
Katalina shook her head. “You know how I like to sleep,” she mumbled as her eyes were already starting to close once again.
Damien chuckled and helped her strip down to her bra and panties, the way that she liked to sleep when she didn’t have her little nightgowns. Once she was good to go, he took off his clothes and climbed in behind her. He pulled the blanket over them, wrapped his arms around Katalina, and they both fell asleep for the night.
