Chapter 11: Beautiful Bastard

Dimitri

Seraphina looked over her shoulder and her eyes met mine. I found it extremely satisfying to watch her try not to appear aroused. I shifted in my chair as my cock strained against the fabric of my pants.

For the first time in my life, I had to show restraint against a woman. It was pure torture to walk away from her and not drive my cock deep inside of her. I could only imagine how wet and sweet she’d taste. Though I’m not a saint, it would have been a crime for me not to enjoy the view.

Seraphina: And who says there will be a next time?

Dimitri: You’ll be living with me soon, there will always be a next time. Now get back to work before I put you over my knee.

Spanking isn’t very deviant, but doing it to my secretary in my office, makes it very deviant.

I frosted the glass in order to concentrate on the contract we’d just signed and what we would need to do to pull it off. Thomas, Seraphina, and I would have lunch to discuss the contract thoroughly. I wish it could have stayed between her and me, but I had to make sure things were secure legally.

I stepped out of the office and she sensed my presence. Standing slowly, allowing me the opportunity to drink her in, my gaze slid all over her.

“Can I help you, sir?”

“Thomas is here for lunch with us in the boardroom. Follow me.”

She followed me into the boardroom, shutting the door behind her. Thomas stood shaking her hand and exchanging pleasantries. The boardroom was set up in a banquet style with an array of food. After grabbing a cobb salad and a blood orange, I interjected.

“Well, let’s get down to business.”

“Of course. There’s a ‘no fraternization’ policy in place, so unfortunately you will not be able to continue employment here.”

“Honestly, it’s not like she will have to work on what I will be paying her.” Her gaze darted over my face. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

“I enjoy working just as much as you do.”

“Find a hobby,” I say dryly.

“Listen, Seraphina, what he’s trying to say is this is only temporary.” Thomas chimed in.

He’s used to sweet-talking clients and this is why he’s so damn good at his job. The scowl she was giving to me was softened as he spoke with her.

“Fine, but we have a problem.”

“Problem?” I say locking eyes with hers.

“Constance. She made an accusation about us and how I’m playing with fire.”

“She’s harmless and you let us worry about the details. All we need from you is to show everyone how madly in love with him you are,” he said, leaning back in his seat.

She turns her head away from us both, closing her eyes and biting down on her lip. I stood and made the short walk to her. When she heard the chair move beside her, her eyes fluttered open. Our eyes were locked on each other and Thomas had faded into the background like a painting on the wall.

“I know this is going to be an adjustment for us both. I need you to be all in on this.” I spoke to her in a tone I was unsure of and it made me uncomfortable.

“Ok,” Her word came out in a breathy whisper.

Thomas cleared his throat and both of our gazes were fixed on his.

“Well, I think we have everything we need to finalize the deal and you’ll have your first payment once you move into your new home.”

“Sounds good. I need to make a call. I’ll meet you back at the office.” she said before shutting the door.

“Oh, she is going to have you eating out of the palm of her hand.” he chuckled.

“Please, that woman is seconds from being madly in love.”

“Good, you need her to be. You better keep up this act because I’m sure if this ever leaked, your name would be ruined. Plus, her requests are insignificant compared to what you’re asking of her.”

“Oh, I’m sorry, playing a billionaire’s fiancée must be extremely hard,” I spoke harshly, but it was the truth.

“Well, that was short-lived.”

“What would she truly be giving up?”

“The contract is written for nearly two years and I hope for your sake, you check your pride at the door. This woman can make or break you. You need her, it's not the other way around.”

We sat in silence as I churned everything over. He’s right, but he can spare me the pity of what she would be giving up. The woman will make more with me than she has in the last five years. I’ve seen the tax returns. Although, I can say that she gives most to her grandmother and her care.

“So your proposal? Are you going to go ring shopping?”

“If she weren’t my assistant, I’d have my assistant pick it out.” As I spoke, Thomas rolled his eyes. “But seeing as though she is, I’ll take her to pick one out.”

“Oh man, you’re more hopeless than I thought.”

“Well, my one-night stands don’t require engagement rings.”

“Check the internet for ideas on engagements and baby showers. It’s a big thing nowadays.”

“And how do you know this?” I say with a raised brow.

“My little sisters live on YouTube and I just so happen to get trapped.”

“Remind me again why I’m doing all of this?”

“Because you’re a selfish and greedy bastard.” Thomas left the room with his last statement.
