CHAPTER 10
"Is she waking up?"
"I don't know. What did the doctor say?" Liam asked?
"She needs a lot of rest. She will be alright." I opened my eyes a little before looking around the room. Last I remembered, I was outside close to the swimming pool. Yes. I was with Diana, Liam's ex-girlfriend.
"That bitch!" I jumped up.
"Lie down back. You haven't recovered fully." Liam sat on the other side of the bed and rested my head on his shoulder. Why was he being nice?
I raised my head and saw his grandmother staring down at me with a smile on her face. I sighed as I already knew why Liam said what he said. He always wanted people to see him as an ideal husband and partner.
"How did this happen?" Granny broke the silence.
"Di.." No. I couldn't tell Granny the truth. She loved Diana like her own child. I wonder how she would react to the truth. Plus, I didn't have any valid evidence against her. I sighed again and rested my head on his shoulder. "I can't remember anything, Granny."
"Liam, take good care of her. She's your responsibility."
"Sure, Granny." She excused herself from the room and took along with her, Liam's sister.
After they had all left the room, Liam got up from the bed and locked our room door.
"I'll be in the bathroom." I got up from the bed with the help of Liam. "Thanks." I entered the bathroom.
While I was having my bath in the toilet, I slipped and fell into the bathtub. Liam rushed towards the door and stood for a while. He wasn't sure if he should enter or not.
"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly.
"Not really. I can't get up."
"I'm coming in." Before I could object, he opened the toilet door and rushed it. He bent over and lifted me from the bathtub.
"You are very careless. Were you planning on committing suicide?" I gazed at him absentmindedly. I was naked and I was in his arms. This was the first time I stood very close to Liam. He was indeed very handsome as people said.
My heart kept beating loudly. My hands were shaking. I could feel my insides yearning for his touch.
When we got to the bed, he dropped me gently and sat on the other side with a towel in his hand.
"How could you be so careless with yourself?"
"It's not like you even care about me," I muttered.
"I do."
"Really?" I looked at him for a while and then pressed both my hands against his chest softly as he closed his eyes. My fingers traced the swallows on his chest and down to his stomach. His expression was so calm but his chest was moving up and down rapidly. I brought my hand down and ran my index finger along the waistband of his boxers. His eyes opened in bewilderment.
I didn't know what I was doing, but whatever it was, I didn't want to stop.
"I'm sorry." I'm not in my right senses." I brought my hand down.
"Whatever you are doing, don't stop. He brushed his hands gently up my sides to rest on my shoulders.
He pulled me down softly and took off my pants. His fingers traced my sensitive part. My head thudded against the glass, heat pulsing through my blood from the point where his tongue was driving me mad. My leg flexed against his back, urging him closer, my hands cupping his head to hold him still as I rocked into him. Feeling the rough satin strands of his hair against my sensitive inner thighs was its provocation, heightening my awareness of everything around me.
"Now, here's the big finish." He said, and I bit him hard on the shoulder. He gasped and jerked, and he began moving in earnest. At first, I was dazed, but I began to catch on and keep up. He found my response very exciting, and I began to feel that something was just around the corner.
"Liam, please...." I gasped for air and dug my nails in his hips, almost there, and then a small shift in our alignment allowed him to press even more into me, and almost before I could moan, Liam closed his lips on mine and his tongue teased mine. I felt Liam's balls on my stomach, and I moaned in excitement.
I relaxed my head on the pillow letting him do his job.

The persistent noise from the alarm woke me up. It was so loud that I accidentally smashed my phone to the wall thinking it to be the alarm. It wasn't enough that the alarm ruined my perfect sleep, the doorbell kept ringing. There are maids and bodyguards in this house, why is no one opening the door? I placed a pillow over my ears to prevent the noise but the person was so persistent in ruining my morning.
I jumped out of bed half-naked. My robe was under Liam, there was no way I could wake him up. I picked out a random hoodie from his cupboard and wore it. After that, I haphazardly walked downstairs and to the door. I opened it just to see my parents smiling at me. It's been weeks since I got married, and I was just seeing them. I threw my arms around them like a little girl.
"I've missed you guys. Why are you just visiting?" I forgot I was upset with them? How could I even stay angry at them for too long? They are my parents and it wasn't their fault, they had no choice.
"I'm sorry, dear. How could we show ourselves to you after everything we did to you?" My mum cried.
"It's all in the past?" I invited them in and went into the kitchen to get them some leftover cookies and orange juice. We weren't allowed to cook in the house till the rest of the family woke up.
When I was done arranging the cookies and drinks, I stepped out of the kitchen and into the sitting room.
"You don't have to do this." My mum got up and took the tray from me.
"Mum, don't treat me differently. I'm still your Hannah. I have to take care of you."
"You are now someone else's daughter. I wish I got to spend more time with you before sending you off"
"Mum, I'm happy. I'll never lie to you."
"She is happy, Mrs. Kristen." Diana walked out of her room. She gave out a mocking laugh before coming downstairs. "My bad. Hi, I'm Liam's ex-girlfriend."
"Ex-girlfriend?" My mum whispered. I held her hand to prevent her from getting angry.
"Lisa?" My dad gave out a loud gasp. I rolled my eyes. Anyone would mistake Diana for Lisa because they had similar characters.
"She isn't Lisa, dad. She's just another Lisa."
"Yes. You see," Diana continued. "Take my advice Aunt Kristen, take your daughter home. The way this family treats her is so unbearable. She's done so much for them but all they do is hurt her."
"What?" My mum got up from her chair.
"Mum, don't believe anything she says."
"Aunt, if I tell you what happened here yesterday, you will be so shocked."
"What happened?" My mum walked up to her completely ignoring me.
"Well, how should I say it? Your daughter was almost killed yesterday. She was pushed into the pool by someone from this family. I hate to see this innocent child go through pain. Please take her to a place where she will be happy."
"Is this true, Anna." This was the first time my mum called me 'Anna' since 18yrs. She was very upset. She felt guilty for everything.
"Diana, don't you have anything better to do?" I didn't want her to hear me talk to my parents.
"Yeah. I'll go check on my baby."
"Thank you."
"Huh?"
I smiled. She wasn't expecting my calm reply. I looked back at my mum before moving closer to Diana, "For yesterday. If you hadn't pushed me into the pool, Liam and I wouldn't have gotten closer to each other yesterday. What can I tell you, he was so amazing... I can't forget how I felt when Liam put that thing inside me. Diana, I'm very grateful for this kindness. Tell me how I can repay you for this?"
"You!"
"You don't have to blush too much. I know you meant good for me. You know that song that says, 'You take what the enemy meant for evil, and you turn it for good'." She stormed upstairs and into Liam's room. I turned back to my mum. This time around, she was smiling. She heard the conversation that transpired between me and Diana. "Mum,"
"You don't have to say anything. I heard it all. I'm proud of the woman you are becoming. Don't let Diana take away your happiness."
"I love you, mum." I hugged her again.
"Diana and Lisa have the same qualities." I couldn't blame my dad for always thinking about Lisa. She was his daughter after all. I knew how hard it was for him not to know where his daughter was. I knelt in front of him and placed my head on his legs. This was the first time I got close to my dad. I never really liked him cus I blamed him for taking all my mum's love and giving it to his daughter.
"That's true, dad. We all miss Lisa. If she were here, she would have probably told me how to handle Diana. I'm certain she's happy wherever she is. One day, she will come back to us."
"Please forgive me for not being a good father to you." Seeing my dad cry in front of me brought tears to my eyes. I wiped his eyes with my palm.
"Dad, I brought your favorites, grilled onions. Have some."
"Lisa is allergic to Onions. She's just like her biological mum. She hates onions. Whenever you give it to her, she will say, 'Holy cookies!' It was so much fun seeing her get irritated."
"Yeah."
"Mr. and Mrs. Brown," Mrs. Smith hollered. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming? I would have told the servants to prepare something for you."
"It's okay. We were just on our way out. Mrs. Smith," My mum called out calmly.
"Yeah?"
"Forgive me for asking, but I can't help but wonder why Liam's ex-girlfriend is living in this house."
"She's just visiting. She applied for a nursing course in Australia, so you don't have to worry. She will be leaving soon."
"Hannah is lucky to have a caring mother like you. With you by Hannah's side, I have nothing to worry about." Mum trusted Mrs. Smith so much. I couldn't tell her that Mrs. Smith was not as innocent as she looked. "I don't seem to see Liam anywhere?"
"He's asleep," I answered.
"I haven't seen him since you got married. It would be nice if you people visited us."
"Sure." After three long hours of discussion with the Smiths, my parents left.
I dropped the tray I used to serve my parents in the kitchen before heading upstairs. When I arrived at my door, I overheard Diana argue with Liam. She probably was arguing with him on why we had sex.
I pushed the door open and entered the room. Liam raised his head slightly above the covers to glare at me.
"Looking sexy in that hoodie." He complimented. "I heard your parents dropped by."
"Yeah. They just left."
"Why are you talking to her?" Diana screamed.
"She's my wife. Is it a crime to talk to my wife?" Liam was being unusually nice. I didn't know if I should trust this change or if he was just pulling Diana's leg. He got out of bed and walked up to me. "Let's go have our bath together, Sweetheart."
"Sweetheart?" Diana had hurt me so many times in the past, this was my perfect opportunity to get revenge. I placed my hand on his neck and rubbed his chest gently. "Sure. Let's go."
Diana stood there with her fingers crossed. She was very upset but she couldn't do anything because I am Liam's wife after all. Liam lifted me off the ground and carried me into the bathroom.
When we got in and shut the door behind us, I jumped down from his body and adjusted my dress.
"Still feeling shy?" He asked with a grin on his face. "I already saw everything yesterday. What's there to hide again?"
"Why did you do all that in front of Diana?"
"Sometimes she can be too talkative. I just wanted to get rid of her. Get rid of any negative thoughts in your head."
"Negative thoughts? Why would I even think that?" I stuttered. My heart was beating faster than usual. It all happened yesterday night. Why can't I stop glaring at him? Am I in love with Liam? I ran towards the sink and splashed water on my face. "It can't be," I whispered.
"What can't be?" Liam brought his face closer to mine. I jerked back a little.
"Why are you everywhere? Go and have your bath, I'll go and have mine once you are done."
"We are going on a drive today."
"Really?" I felt very elated that I was going out with Liam. "Just the two of us?"
"And Diana." I gave out a loud sigh. He always took Diana along with us whenever we were to go out.

Once we were done bathing, we dressed up, had our breakfast, and left for the car. Mrs. Smith tried her best to delay me from going with her unending tasks but Mr. Smith saved the day. Anna watched us leave the house from her window. She wasn't much of a talkative. Since I arrived in this house, I only heard her voice on three occasions; when she wanted her big brother to play piano for her, when Diana ate spicy food, and probably when we discussed her illness.
I shut the front door after saying goodbye to her. Sitting beside Liam was a tough battle between myself and Diana. After much argument, I pushed her to the side and entered the front.
We drove in circles for hours before arriving at a restaurant called Alo.
